Does anyone have any suggestions for calorie counting instagram food pages to follow? I like to use instagram to get ideas of stuff to eat. Anyone I should be following?

Not counting smart points (Weight Watchers) anymore
I have been paying about $20 per month to do Weight Watchers online. I've lost count how many times I've joined this program. Every time I join, I quit and tell myself I will never join again. Points frustrate me. The program changes every few years and that frustrates me. Now the new "smart points" is pretty much a…

Lose 40 pounds
I want to lose 40 pounds...but I dont want to go on a "diet." I simply want to create a calorie deficit through food choices and low impact exercises 30 minutes a day. I can't do high impact due to symphasis pubic dysfunction...got it during pregnancy in 2013... If you have lost weight following a similar plan, just simply…

Low(ish) carb
Anyone had success going low*ish carb? Meaning not totally eliminating them but scaling back. Ex a very tiny portion of rice or pasta and bulking up the meats and veggies. Did it work for weight loss? Was it sustainable?

Syncing Fitbit
My steps are not showing, won't sync to my fitness pal. My fitness pal is linked to my fitbit, but for whatever reason my steps won't sync. Any ideas?

Skipping Dinner/snack for dinner
Anyone here eat most/all of your calories before Dinner? I tend to be hungriest in the morning and mid day. If I eat most of my calories then I'm not hungry for dinner and lose weight easier. My struggle is I feel like I "should" make and eat dinner with my husband but if I do that I end up overeating and going over…

I did it!!!!
You might be coming here because you read my discussion title, and think this is going to be a success story to inspire you and to find out what my "secret" to weight loss is. Sorry to disappoint, but I am just getting started on my weight loss journey (again). What I am referring to is, I QUIT WEIGHT WATCHERS. Now, if WW…

Please share your success stories of calorie counting with me!
Looking for some inspiration. I need to lose 30-40 pounds by January 2017. Dr.s orders. I am healthy, the only unhealthy thing about me is my weight. Which can lead to being unhealthy in the future. I get all motivated, count calories (still eat what I want but at deficit) and exercise, lose 1-2 pounds per week then quit,…

Intermittent fasting
Anyone do intermittent fasting here with good results? As in eating what you want during your eating window....whether that be 5:2, 4:3, alternate day fasting, 16:8, one meal a day...etc etc. No restrictions while you eat. But fasting when not eating.

MFP vs Weight Watchers
Tracking on both. I get 30 points a day on WW. 1550 calories on MFP. I've lost 2 pounds this week. On WW I'm over by several points every day but only eating around 1200-1300 calories. I'm liking the weight loss, but WW feels more challenging than MFP. Anyone have any similar experiences?

Abandoned calorie counting for something else?
Has anyone completely quit counting calories and instead went low carb or clean eating where you supposedly dont have to track calories? How did that work out for you?

Need some inspiration from non dieters
I need some inspiration from people who ditched the diets and prescribed eating styles and lost weight just by only counting calories. Aka ate what they wanted within their calorie allottment. Also, did calorie counting naturally help you to start choosing healthier options as you continued with tracking? Did you slowly…

Smart Points vs MFP
I'm currently an online member of Weight Watchers and have been parallel tracking in both mfp and ww app. My personal experience is that mfp is way more forgiving. WW fans will say, but you can eat 1200 calories of crap and still lose weight where WW pushes you toward healthier choices. I get that. I get that I could eat…

Are all "diets" really just a way to reduce calories in the end?
Low Carb Paleo Vegetarian Vegan Meal Replacements Weight Watchers Etc. Etc. Etc. I get that people adhere to certain diets for specific and personal reasons, but if we are just strictly talking weight loss, are all "diets" just different ways of reducing calories?

Go to dinners
I can be good until dinner hits. I'm a working mom that needs to feed a husband that can eat whatever he wants and not gain 1 oz and a 2 year old. Help! Quick. Easy. Low cal and healthy!....& tasty of course

Tips and Tricks requested to stop the insanity
After a year of indecision of what "DIET" I should go on and gaining at least 15 pounds in the process, I have decided enough is enough. This isn't serving me. I have wavered between calorie counting, weight watchers, low carb, vegetarian, intermittent fasting in the form of either A.) Eating during a certain window of…

Weight Watchers or CC
Can anyone that has tried both or is currently doing the smart points weight watchers plan please tell me the pros and cons of each? Why do you prefer weight watchers vs calorie counting or vice versa? I'm stuck in deciding which path to take. I cycle between weight watchers, calorie counting or low carb. I dont ever make…

Meal Replacement Shakes
Meal replacement shakes yay or nay? I just ordered Ideal Shape and even though it's really good (cookies and cream) I don't know if I have the strength to replace 1-2 meals with it every day to help with calorie reduction. Maybe if I just did it 5 days a week? Would like feedback on pros and cons. Thank you!

Does counting calories work
Is counting calories a good way to lose weight? Do you have to do low carb to lose? Can you still eat bread and lose weight?

Does anyone follow weight watchers here?
I'm trying to decide if my fitness pal is a good fit for me or weight watchers. I've tried ww in the past and hated it. hahaha! It's supposed to be easier than calorie counting, but I don't find it to be that way. And now they, of course, have changed their entire program and the way they calculate "points" for a certain…

CC vs Not CC
There is so much conflicting info. What is your opinion of losing weight by eating what you want within your calorie range vs whole foods eating/low carb/ etc without counting/tracking? I don't mean filling your day full of junk food and eating 1500 calories of junk food. But if you want a sandwhich and you can "afford"…

Evening workout-ers
Anyone here workout at night/after dinner? I just cannot bring myself to get up at 4:45 to do my 30 minute work out. I'd love to eventually get there. So I do mine after dinner, about an hour after. I know anytime you do a workout is better than none. Anyone else out there like me?

Need motivation to keep going, need to lose 30 lbs.
I started cc last week and am down 1.5 pounds. I have about 25-30 pounds to lose total. Do you think this is a good start? I know they say 1-2 pounds per week for safe weight loss. I'm probably just being irrational but I want more gone!! haha! I feel like it is going to take forever to get to my goal weight. I am feeling…

Recipe Builder vs. Manual entry
Do you use the recipe builder or just enter your food in manually? I have been doing both. I have found when I import a recipe from a website, MFP always calculates the calorie count higher, sometimes 100-200 calories more! I have all of the numbers/servings correct. Then when I manually enter the same recipe, under dinner…

Calorie Cycling
Can you set up my fitness pal if you are doing calorie cycling? For example, instead of having a particular calorie goal for every day of the week, you can vary your calorie number goals day by day?
