Back to MFP after 7 Months and 7 pounds heavier than when I left, starting again.
Hi, I need the accountability of MFP again. I am still a runner and would like to lose these 7 lbs. again + a little more. Cool weather is coming in my area and there are some target races at 3 and 6 weeks out. Plus, the old jeans are a little tighter. Looking forward again to all of the motivation here, also.

Kiawah Half Marathon - 2 Years Older, 9 Pounds Lighter, 6 Minutes Faster
I ran my goal race this past Saturday and compared the results to the same race two years ago. I have not reached my goal weight yet but being 9 pounds lighter than at this race 2 years ago resulted in a 6 minute faster time. I keep an Exel diary of all my races, time, weather, weight, etc. The course was the same and the…

Lighter Helps on Hilly Half Marathon Course. The good and bad.
Ran a local half marathon yesterday with less than 100 runners. The good, ran it 9 pounds lighter. The bad, followed a group that took a wrong turn. Ended up running 15.2 miles with the worst hills that I have ever seen. Longest run in years. The good, legs never gave out and was more efficient up hills. The bad, missed…

My current strategy. Do not weigh for a while. Does anyone else do this?
Today is day 20 of MFP. I have not weighed in 10 days and don't plan to for a while. I am seeing other things that are keeping me motivated. Certain clothes and belts are looser. My resting heart rate is the lowest that I have seen in years if not ever. Had a great 10 mile run with my daughter this past weekend. I don't…

Runners - Do you have the energy to train/race close to normal during weight loss?
Hi, I am in day 13 and seeing steady weight loss results. Big picture is 2 half marathons in November and December. Should I train at normal paces during this time? If I jump into a couple of low key 5k races before then, should I eat a little more a couple of days before these races? Curious about others experiences.…

10 days on this plan. Good results but first Yuchhy run today.
Hi, lost 5 pounds in 10 days. Trying to get to my proven optimal race weight for a November and December half. The latter, my daughters will be running the full. In today's run, for the first time, the legs did not have it. I'm not overly concerned if this is just part of the process until I hit my goal. More excited about…

10th Day Tomorrow, Anxious for Weigh In
Tomorrow will be my 2nd weigh in. Trying to weigh about every 7 days. I am enjoying the details of logging exercise and food. I have stayed on track. I sure hope to see some results, to keep this positive motivation.

Need to get fit for upcoming run.
Hi, by normal standards, my weight is good, but both of my daughters are running a marathon in a couple of months. I usually run the associated half marathon with their race. Last time, I was 15 pounds over my optimal racing weight, and finished, but not as well as I would like. My goal is to be at that good racing weight…
