Health benefits of Wasabi Peas
I was happy to read this article about one of my favorite snacks, Wasabi Roasted Peas: http://www.livestrong.com/article/481122-what-are-the-benefits-of-wasabi-peas/ And I just discovered Sriracha Roasted peas at the grocery store, too. Sweeter and has a garlicky kick to it. If you're a Pho fan, you'll want to try this.

Looking for MANLY resistance bands...
So I picked up my wife's resistance bands and thought to myself, "Hey... these aren't bad for light aerobic stuff." I got bored quickly and thought to myself "Maybe I can get more resistance if I make the cord shorter by stepping on it here..." I ripped that resistance band mid-arm curl and punched myself in the head. I…

Weight lifting gloves
I need a new pair and I haven't bought a new pair in years. Can anyone recommend me a good brand/product? My old ones are kinda dog-eared and I need some better wrist support. I did some ligament damage to my wrist hitting a punching bag (without getting wrapped first). Thanks.

Failures
What diets/pills/exercise have you tried? Why do you think it failed? I tried Xenadrine when I was younger cuz I thought I needed it to help me get cut. Back then, they used ephedra in their formula. My heart rate shot through the roof and I decided that this wasn't something I should be messing with.

Sodium-loaded foods and trouble sleeping
I've kinda noticed a pattern in eating really salty foods for dinner and insomnia and I wanted to share this. My dad had a similar problem when he was my age and doctors told him that he had a slight arhythmia. He also has high blood pressure and is borderline diabetic. He's fine today but I was wondering if anyone else…

Very random knee pain
I tend to get random pain in the knee sometimes. Usually, it doesn't last more than a couple minutes to a couple hours if I leave it alone or walk it off. It's just weird. Does anyone else get random pain like this? Without any warning or injury, I started feeling a strange sharp pain on the outside of my left knee when I…

Other reasons for being fit: Tackling fuel.
I have all my canned responses for being fit: Get healthy.... Be around for the kids... Look good... Etc... And they're all good reasons. But I've got another reason I want to be stronger and more fit: I'm not gonna lie... I use my antagonists as fuel to keep me pumped. I'd like to take a few of them down Waterboy style.

Twinkies maker Hostess files Chapter 11
It looks like Hostess is seeking bankruptcy protection: http://wtop.com/?nid=628&sid=2702027 I imagine that this is caused by the loss of customers that are now MFP'ers. Keep it going! Krispy Kreme, you're going down next. (Snowballs and Ding Dongs... RIP. We had some good times.)

Measuring Percent Body Fat
Does anyone have any guidance on how to get an accurate measure of percent body fat? I have an older model Tanita bathroom scale from about 9 years ago that I've been using. Carnival Cruise - Minimizing the damage
So last time I went on a 5 day cruise, I worked out once a day and managed to gain only 2 lbs. I consider that a victory. The sea sickness helped. And I worked out every day. I wasn't on MFP back then and it wasn't until I joined MFP that I realized how much crap I was eating. Now I'm about to go on a 7 day cruise (it was…

Flat feet and PAIN
Anyone out there have a good remedy for treating the pain of having flat feet? My arches collapsed years ago and my podiatrist has given me orthotics to use. Workout clothes
I've been just wearing old T-shirts for the longest time when I'm playing basketball or tennis. I recently switched to wearing Dri-Fit type shirt made by Puma and I've noticed that wicks stuff away better, but when I empty the gym bag, it smells so much funkier than my old cotton T-Shirts. Same goes for some of these golf…

Saving most my calories for dinner
If I eat a light breakfast, light lunch with light snacks in between, can I pig out at dinner? I've been thinking about this all weekend. Link to Pull-ups/Chin-ups Guide
For the life of me, I've never been able to do more than 1-2 pull-ups or chin-ups without using a "sissy chair" to help me out. What's in your oatmeal?
In college, I was so happy when my mom brought me 2 Costco double packs of quaker oats. We had no other food in the pantry. My roommate and I were happy for the food because that meant not having to walk two miles to get breakfast at the dining hall. We got tired of plain oatmeal real quick. Here are some things that we…

Gaining Weight on the weekends
I just want to see who else does this. Every week, my weight follows the same pattern. I gain anywhere from 1.5-3lb's during the weekend, then shred them off on Monday to Wednesday, and then Thursday morning I weigh-in. Continue working hard on Thurs and Friday to extend my lead, and then repeat the cycle. I feel like if I…
