@shadus just curious how low you went with your carbs? i read bernstein's book but honestly ould not be happy with cutting my carbs that low and so would not be able to sustain it long term.
i have reduced my carbs from 45% down to 30% and when i keep to that goal i like my levels ... usually in the 90s

I went to <30g/day (mostly), it seems to 'behave' if I stay under about 50g though... above 60g my BG numbers get real wonky. I wanna keep losing weight and see if that helps stabilize my numbers some and then do testing on actual carb tolerance. I don't care about being in ketosis exactly, I care about keeping my sugar numbers in a good range... right now keto seems to do that without medication (and its pretty easy to lose weight on as dietary changes go.)

First off 174, 5 minutes later 156. What do I do, best 3 out of 5? LOL. I forgot to take my metformin with dinner last night.

Yeah, best of 3 maybe! Some monitors have smaller margins of error than others, but they all have some variability. :/

122 this am. Yesterday was getting over (being optimistic) a cold. I was surprised at the number this am. I'll check in a couple hours after breakfast.

Sorry I've been missing lately. just wasn't into the whole "oh I have diabetes, I better behave better"
So, this morning my FBS was 4.4(79) which is way too low for me. So, I had a yogurt, and 15 minutes later it was 6.3(114). Much better.

I've been off the rails with my food for the last couple weeks, and my pancreas is letting me know this morning. I thought it was muscle pain from carrying my bike and then going for a short ride. Nope, definitely paying the price for bad choices.
So, I'll take it easy today, liquids, tylenol, and resting. I don't want to end up in the hospital again.
