Hi
I'm back from walking and No cents. The Temperature out the door was 75degrees. Once again it was not comfortable outdoors while walking. The humidity made it uncomfortable

Editorial: New law no bargain
Rocky seas are ahead for businesses in Massachusetts.
Yesterday, Gov. Charlie Baker signed the “grand bargain” bill into law. It increases the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2023, requires paid leave for workers starting in 2021 and establishes an annual sales tax holiday each August.
Last year, the state Legislature voted themselves a handsome pay raise. This week the mayor of Boston as well as the City Council did the same. Taxpayers are made to hand over their hard-earned dollars to improve the standard of living for their elected representatives again and again.
When do they get some relief? One weekend in the summer?

5 WWII airmen who died during mission in Germany buried together at Arlington
In the raid, 38 bombers were lost and 481 were damaged, according to an April 2007 Air Force Magazine article. The USAAF estimated that as many as 500 Luftwaffe fighters attacked and almost 400 men did not return. Many were missing in action after bailing out of their aircraft.
The Nov. 2nd mission was the deadliest, the article explained, but not the last of the missions to Leuna. Crews risked a half-dozen more missions over an array of at least 1,700 flak guns.

Howdy y'all. It's magnificent Monday! 74 with an expected high of 85 and 20% chance of precipitation.
Sounds like a lovely day. I might get out to a store today.
Lilo just left my lap so I'm free, free!
Not that I have any big plans now that I'm free.
Need to clean yesterday's cat bowls and feed the cats. I've eaten and the dishwasher is running now. Possibly laundry later.

Dinner tonite was baked falafel in a pita pocket with lettuce, onion, ranch-ish dressing...and an ear of corn.
I just didn't remember to take a picture before I ate it!!! Hope you laughed...I did. Ed will notice something that I've known for quite awhile...and Roger will have no idea, nor should he!!
Mexico lost this morning, Brazil won...tomorrow will find me hurrying to do a few chores and be at the gym by 10a.m.
Sprinkled at my house a bit today...not like the rain we had yesterday. Jack and Nate came by yesterday, Jack worked on replacing some wall board, and Jack replaced the engine air filter on my car, and Nate (12 y.o) replaced the cabin filter. We had fun...got the hole fixed in the kitchen from a plumber visit.
Did some laundry, unloaded dishwasher, and I had a very nice nap! That's about it for the day.

Howdy y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! 73 with an expected high of 92 and 20% chance of rain.
I need a small grocery run today if I'm going to make J's potato salad tomorrow. I have a small pork loin I will slow cook and turn into tender pulled/shredded pork and may even attempt a home made blueberry pie! We'll see on the pie...
Other than the grocery run not a lot on the "required" agenda for today other than feeding the cats, cleaning up yesterday's cat bowls, drinking 3 more mugs of hot tea and a nap.
Lunch will be tikka masala. J will have the remaining chicken fried tofu tikka masala from last night and I will try a frozen chicken tikka masala from the same company.

Not too sure how I'd feel about eating ham and cheese hash brown cubes. I'd probably at least try one.

ROFL! I'd be very surprised if Roger noticed, though someone paying VERY close attention to all the pictures I've posted might.
Maybe if we put both pictures in the same post?parityanimal wrote: »0 -
Quick Good Morning cuz I gotta get moving.
Need to be at the gym by 10 a.m. to watch the soccer game. This works out really well...45 minute walk, gets me to the end of first half...then 15 minutes to get home..and watch the second half..followed by lunch time!
I WANT A WATERMELON....any ideas? I bought one last week at Kroger and had to take it back as you may recall, so yesterday I made a special trip out to Publix....what a waste. They are featuring watermelon chunks in the deli..rather expensive since all they're doing is cutting the really nice red watermelon into chunks...and the quartered melon, which is what I'd normally buy was UGLY. Pink, and one piece also had a wide swath of yellow nearest the white rind section...pink, yellow, white and a green rind does not make Valerie happy. Came home empty handed and still wanting watermelon!
Ok, rant over...
Ed, your dishes caught my eye some time ago and I've been grinning ever since. I have no idea how to get the pix side by side...so I'll let Roger know....Ed and I have the same dinnerware! I thought it was the pattern that my SIL had, but she assured me it was not her pattern...then I more closely looked at one of Ed's photo's and there was this 'a-ha' (or is it aha?) moment!!!
And I think Roger may be right...my dinner was half eaten before I remembered I wanted to photograph it....and yes, I was watching TV and messing with the computer while eating. I can't drive distracted, but I can sure eat that way!!
