Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday! Warm out there, and supposed to be pretty nice today. I have given Lilo her Tuesday shot and I have walked. I will do some house and/or yard work later. And have a nap if it isn't too noisy outside.

    Hi Ed,
    Hope you get your nap!
Tuesday...Publix, gym, Shorty Howell to drop off my election ballot, and swing by Kroger for my So's Ice Cream, banana's, and Sparkling water...
Lunch is ready to eat, and afternoon reserved for a good solid 2 hours nap...talking to Jack at 4.

Ted got to see something rare...when walking Maya today, he met some people with a solid white Husky like Maya..puppy was I think he said 6 months old. Now, that has to be a really cute thing to see! Wish I'd been there to see the puppy.

How much longer do you suppose they will be working on the sidewalk repair, and grass seeding? Soon I am sure you are hoping! I remember the summer of school construction behind my house...beginning with clear cutting the woods...(and how I ended up with Tom E. and sibs, plus Mom!) All day long, trucks beeping as they backed up, heavy equipment, and on and on. They'd knock off work at noon on Fridays. I quickly learned to LOVE Friday afternoons!
Hopefully your re-do won't take so long!

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful Wednesday! It's supposed to get to 88 or so today, so I did my walk early, as usual, and did a little bit of yardwork too in a shady corner, before it could get too hot. As I was leaving for my walk, the lawn service arrived (at about quarter after seven!) to mow, weed, and blow. They like to come early too. Very sensible of them.

By then, it was time to feed the cats so I had another mug of tea and then fed them. I am on the last mug now, and will be starting with the PowerAde Zero shortly.

Not a lot else on the agenda today.

Well, in honor of National Donut Day, June 3, I blew the eating. I made fancy, chocolate donuts and, while they ARE small, still ate too many...It's all Eduardo's fault!

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday! I have done my walk and will feed the cats shortly. I need to stay home and available as I think a package coming today will require a signature. Not a lot on the agenda otherwise.

Ok. I said good morning, and rattled on a bit.
I don't know where it went. Nothing earth shaking.
Heading to the gym...I'm only 2 hours late! Oh, well...no nap for this oldie today.
Dinner will come from VeGreen later today.
    That's the short of it.

Hope your day goes/has gone well. Tell Eduardo that those donuts looked awful good. I think I too would have eaten my share and then some!

Howdy all y'all. It's fantastic Friday! I got my package yesterday. Today I expect a crate of wine, and that is coming UPS, so I am bypassing the walk even though it is a beautiful day. I slept a little late and there would have been a slim chance of delivery before I got back home if I had walked. J is, of course home, but has taken the day off wanting to have a rest day, and is still asleep.

I hope the construction noises aren't so bad as to prevent that. They have had one really loud BANG earler, but for just one loud noise, J can usually just roll over and go back to sleep...depending on just HOW loud it is.

At any rate, I am home until the crate of wine is either delivered or re-routed.

    Good Afternoon Ed!
I've been to the gym, put gas into the car, (first time since Feb.) and made my trek to Whole Foods! I now have 2 Veggie Lovers Sweet Earth Pizza's in the freezer. Had lunch, mixed up my 'special' tomato fertilizer and fed my 2 tomato plants, then since I was outside, and since it is supposed to rain, I also fed all the azalea's and the camellia's.! Enjoying a few bites of watermelon and then I'm heading in for my nap, while the load of dark clothes do their thing!
Also wonder of wonders, my iPhone updated um, some time ago, and then about a week or two the iWatch updated...and I got my avatars for my special challenges, and it looks like I will be getting the monthly ones too. Jan-May I think are just 'gone'. I've seen the June monthly challenge, and I will have to do some calculating to see if its at all possible to meet the required # of calories burned this month....eek!

Hope you got a nap today, and that all is well. Hope you get your wine! I hate having to wait for packages...(remember the Misfits veggie boxes). That was pathetic. (boxes were allright, but the delivery service was beyond failure)

    Good Morning Ed,
Its a sunny, and soon to be 'warm/hot' day! But first its cleaning day! ugh.
Tom E's outside so I've had my coffee and oatmeal with blueberries in peace and quiet. :):):)

Not much of the agenda for today. I have a load of clothes I need to take out of the washer, and a light load to wash while the dark load dries. Whew! I'll be exhausted! LOLOLOLOLOL!

Hope you are having a good walk and see many more beautiful flowers.

Well, Ted and Maya are back from their walk, and Ted has started 'his' self appointed part of our mutual cleaning morning. Guess the good times have ended... :)

Howdy all y'all. It's satisfying Saturday! It's warm and sunny out there and will be rather hot later this afternoon. Maybe I can get a nap today. I missed the last two days because of needing to stay available for deliveries.

I do need to get some laundry done today. I sent my primary ballot in a couple of days ago, and J's is going out in today's mail.

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! I have done my walk, and Fitbit claims 4.5 miles so far, including incidental walking about in the house. I will be feeding the cats shortly. My Sunday dinner is ready to heat and eat, as it's left over from last night.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! No walk today, as I made an early run to Kroger to beat the hordes. Funny how my short (very short) list turned into a buggy full at $160 and change. But I got some things that weren't on the list YET but would certainly have been on the next one, and one or two indulgences, as well as stocking up on things to make quick lunches for J as many days seem to be conference call after conference call, with only a short time for lunch. J has never really learned the art of eating while on the phone, even if the others can't see. I learned that art myself many years ago, as I had days with NO time at all for lunch and barely time to grab something I could eat while on the calls.

I need to still get out to PetSmart for cat supplies for the month and then we are all set except for getting Lilo's next bag of fluid from the vet, which I will call about today and request.

    HI Ed!
I'm home from the gym, and a trip to Pet Smart for kibble. It was the first time I'd picked up the kibble, (Ted usually makes the PS run) That bag of kibble from Science Diet is ummm, pricey!

It surely looks like rain, but weather app says nope! I'd like a spot or so of rain, or else I will have to water my two tomato plants. Such effort...LOL!

I just finished lunch, it was less that spectacular... but it filled me up. So, coffee buddy, the next item on my list is NAP!!

NOTE ON THE VIDEOS - I included the fried rice video because the recipe sounded good. I just ignored the religious "patriotism" she so kindly shared...

Two bags of different prescription kibble were about $100, nearly half the amount I spent at PetSmart today. I also got canned food for the month, and 3 containers of kitty litter. My total was a bit over $200. I will need to mail order the kibble for the young females, as, again, there was none to be found on the shelves at PetSmart.

At any rate, NOW, there is little I should need to buy for the rest of the month...though we do need to take Lilo in sometime for bloodwork to check on her kidney function.

Howdy all y'all. It's terrific Tuesday!

The nights haven't been getting all that cool, so I guess Summer is really upon us. I got my walk in this morning, made and ate breakfast, and am having my tea now. Powerade is still to come, after the tea. I might do laundry today, despite the heat and humidity.

Hopefully the work crew out there can finish whatever noisiness they are up to this morning in time for me to try to get a nap in. We are expecting rain this evening.

    Good Morning Ed...its Tuesday.
Tuesday, like get up early and go shopping...ugh. Shopping should always be done after a full meal, and much later than 7 a.m. !!! I don't think there were 6 of us old folks in the store this morning. Makes me wonder when, or where, they're getting their groceries??!

I'll have to back track and look for the fried rice recipe...

I've checked, I can get Tom E's. wet food on a monthly schedule from Amazon, and the Science Diet for cats with sensitive skin and tummy is $5 cheaper from Amazon for a case of 24.
I'd like to put in a good word about shopping locally, and supporting you community....but I'm also firmly committed to keeping my check book lean!!

Need to hit the gym in about and hour, and then the day is mine. I'm thinking laundry and nap.
Oh, and I need to go pick the one very orange tiny tomato later today also.

For now, gonna sip my coffee as I idly sit here wondering what I've forgotten at the grocery!!

Have a great day...Looks to me like this would be an ideal day for walking...not cold or raining, just a slight breeze, overcast, and not hot yet in the morning...

LOL, watched the fried rice video. I think she broke all the rules if she was attempting to make Chinese Fried Rice. I could hear my little Chinese 'Grandma' groan. LOL!

Howdy all y'all. It's wonderful wet Wednesday! I didn't walk this morning, though it's possible I could have without being rained on. I might have ended up about as wet even without the rain, as the humidity was 100% with fog, and not all that cool, so I am sure that the moisture would have worked its way into my clothes one way or another. Yesterday was not quite as oppressive, and I had a good long walk then, so taking the day off from walking.

Our road, which had been beautifully repaved shortly before the drainage work, has a large patched area now at the creek. And some of the sidewalk is not exactly the same shade of concrete as the rest. I understand things like that have to be done, but I was really enjoying the pristine new road and, though I didn't actually WANT a sidewalk. nice pristine looking sidewalk that had been installed.

If they had designed the sidewalk project properly at the start, the drainage would have been done before the sidewalk, and before the road was re-paved. But government inefficiency seems to mean we can't have nice things, or at least not for long. Truthfully, it will still look much better than it did a year ago, and I know I have to take what I can get in this life.

The last thing the construction crew did yesterday was place several pallets of sod on the sidewalk, presumably to re-sod our yard and other areas they tore up with the construction. Sodden sod at the moment, with last night's rain, and there is more rain in the forecast for today.

I don't know if they will be laying sod today or not. When they have done it, I will be glad to see a real lawn there again, at last!

    Good Morning Ed!
Yesterday was a really good storm! I felt pity for all those voters standing in line. Then must have been soaked to the skin. Almost 0.6 inches of rain. Best I've seen here in a few weeks, maybe?

Busy morning...laundry in both washer and dryer, and a load waiting its turn! Ice out of the freezer, dishes in the sink cleared, most went into the dishwasher, along with another couple dozen bar glasses. (While they are all clean, I really should pack up about half of them. They'd stay clean wrapped in paper, and could be available if some major event happened..like ?????)

Need to start my lunch, so I can eat it watching the noon news. It should be interesting to see who is blaming who for yesterday, I have a question, which probably anybody could answer, but just wondering when the absentee ballots get counted? As they come in? in some dark corner while regular voting is happening?, just tossed into the trash?, etc.

TIme to finish getting lunch together, and watch the local.

    Later...
