    Good morning.
Thanks, Roger. I didn't realize Jammin Jamaican was flavored! I just thought it was Jamaican coffee. That explains it!
Irene, we had freezing rain yesterday too, but the driveway and sidewalks are clear this morning. It's 33 here with a high of 37 expected, and the sun is shining. I don't think I could jog either.
Hi Jo, hope you're staying warm.
I need to go to the grocery store today, and have an appt for acupuncture this afternoon.
Trying to decide whether I will try to walk in the park or stay home and go on the eliptical.
    Happy Wednesday, everyone :)

good morning, roger I think the fry foo. .d from the air fryer is lower because you don't need oil to cook it ,it uses hot air to cook it.my knee is pretty good I just can't knell on it or run but other wise it is fine. today I walked an hour and then did 27 minutes on the treadmill. we never got any snow and with it being so warm outside it is like 36 we never got much of anything and the ice just melted. take care everyone

Irene...thanks for the reminder. Yes, the air fryer is good because you don't need much oil. Also the food I cook in the instant pot is good and healthy. It's just that I have to watch my portion sizes!

I have just posted more humor

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and no money was found. The Temperature out the door was 33 degrees. However I suspect that may not have been accurate as the snow I tested was crunchy. Before I forget, Yesterday I could see Deer tracks in the snow going across the front yard and today I could see them in the left over snow in a Playground I passed while walking.

There were also a couple of Snow Flurries yesterday afternoon.

Yesterday my brother did his usual Wednesday Shopping. He brought home the on Sale Ham, and two of the on sale Jimmy Dean Bacon. One for each of us, in the next few days I will bake the bacon off to be portioned into some frozen and some to be used, I do feel a BLT on Rye in my future. The Ham will be going into the freezer since we just defrosted a Corned Beef and he wants to defrost and slice up the Homemade Pastrami that is in the freezer, that way we can set up the slicer and do both at the same time and portion them out to be frozen after being Vacuum Sealed. That will save one setup and cleaning of the slicer.

    Hi Vix
TBH I did not realize that either until You got my curiosity piqued. I am so glad I had not made up my mind to try it since it was fresh brewed and available at the Quick Chek.

Yesterday when I returned from walking I pushed the snow off of the car onto the passenger side of the driveway and when my brother left I cleared the snow around where he had been parked, backed up the car and then cleared it from around where I had been parked since that area stays shaded much of the day, A wet heavy pain in the neck snow to shovel too. The Driveway is now nice and dry except for some of it by the street that did not get shoveled.

I let my brother do the grocery store run Yesterday, I call that avoiding temptation. We swapped runs, I did the banking for both of us and he did the shopping for both of us.

That is a good question, I suppose the park would have been OK if You have waterproof footwear ? The roads and such were OK here by 9AM. When I was out walking the sidewalks were not so go so I walked in the roads facing any traffic. The Sidewalks had not been shoveled in many places and those areas had chunks of Icy Snow thrown onto them by the Plows :(

    Hello Irene
I agree, I just do not have counter space or cabinet space for a Hot Air Fryer or Insta Pot unless I threw out some other cooking gadget.

I hear You about kneeling, If I have to kneel my knee lets me know it does not like doing that and it not nearly as easy getting back up as it was when I was younger. I never run these days.

Lucky You, No Snow and it melted off quickly

Roger, I opted to not walk in the forest/park. Not so concerned about the wetness because my hiking boots are great, but don't want to aggravate my leg and foot/ankle. I've been using my eliptical and old PT exercises.

    Hi Irene
Good Luck with the Doctor Visit for the shoulder, I wonder if the walking is hurting with that, I know my arms are swinging when I walk.

Congratulations on the step count. So far I am a little past the 3 mile mark according to my little FitBit.

I hope the visit was good, I find that Hospitals themselves make me feel sad whenever I have had to go visit.

Yesterday Annie and I found 50 cents on our afternoon walk. not too much going on today just grocery shopping . Roger my little friend is pretty lonely so I didn't mind visiting her and I brought her flowers so that brighten up her day and I also gave her communion that helped her. Irene...you may want them to check out your neck. I have shoulder pain sometimes, turns out it comes from my neck! Nice to find 50 cents. And sweet of you to visit your friend in the hospital.
Roger, yes, I'm going to skip the park for another week or so. I feel like I'm starting to heal, but it's still tentative. Nice to find 10 cents. Good that you keep walking.
    Hi Jo!
Going to drop off hubby's car for an oil change later this morning, and run some errands in town. Have a chiropractor appt in the afternoon, then will go out to dinner to celebrate Valentine's day.

    Good morning;
Busy this week at work and home with Valentine's day and Dr. appts. My Derm apt. was good, nothing found. I also had a physical yesterday. My Dr. was pleased with my weight loss and also took me off the BP meds. I have to go Monday for fasting blood work.
Irene and Roger-congrats on finding money. I haven't found any in a few months.
    Irene-good luck with the MRI.
Vix-I spent most of my work day on Thursday dipping Strawberry or wrapping flowers. It was very busy.
Roger=I am not sure of the amount of snow we got, but it was very heavy and enough that I had to shovel. That was my exercise for the day. Yesterday it rained most of the day and most of the snow is gone.
Today my daughter and I are going to Ice Castles New Hampshire. It is about a 2-3 hour drive, but should be fun. Hubby doesn't like the cold, so opted not to go.
    Have a great day! :)

That is a good point, sometimes the pain is not originating where You feel it.

Sweet, That is a good way to put it.

Congratulations on two good doctor appointments results. Losing weight can be beneficial for BP so I am not that surprised TBH but still better not to be taking medications if possible.

Good Luck with the Fasting Blood Sugar, A1C level a part of it ?

I had a feeling You would be busy Thursday

Ice Castles would be an event is my guess ?

Roger, we mostly go to a local dealer who has pretty good deals on oil changes. I don't trust Jiffy Lube any more. The chiro told me that my ankle problem sounds like a sprain and to put ice on it. So I've been doing that.

    Hi Vix
We have been going local for many years, I got disgusted with Jiffy Lube many years ago when they kept trying to sell me high profit easy to do items. As an example I had changed the Air filter a couple of months previously and they brought in the filter to tell it was dirty and needed changing. I know from experience that they look dirty after around a week of regular use. A really dirty air filter when tapped will release dust then it is time to clean the housing and change the filter.

Same sort of Problem with Midas Muffler shops. Yes they will keep replacing the muffler for free even while pushing new exhaust pipes. Not to mention that the pipes are not free and neither the pipes or mufflers they use hold up. I was having to have them replace the muffler yearly. When I had the local Guy change them being fed up with going there yearly his lasted a decent amount of time.

I hope the Ice is helping and that if it is a sprain You can keep off of it.

Your Valentines dinner sounds tasty, I understand that Red Potatoes are better for You than White Potatoes.

That is nice that You can go to a art show close to home.

    Have a Nice Day

    Good morning;
Ice castles was fun but cold.
    Irene-Congrats on found money.
Roger-All I see these days are wild turkeys. Sorry you are having pain.
Vix-enjoy the art show. I hope your ankle feels better soon.
    Nothing planned for today.
    Have a good one! :)
    Hi Joanne
I have seen a wild turkey here in town, not for a while however. They have had some problems with them in some areas of Staten Island, NY and North NJ, They can be aggressive too.

Both my Brother & I feel it when the weather is changing, as happened last night.

    Have a Good Day

    Good morning.
Thanks, Jo. Glad you had fun...it did look cold!
Roger, hope you get your medical issue taken care of. My ankle is feeling a little better. I think I needed to skip the rough trails for a while. Also starting to get my diet back under control. I am doing it gradually. Now if I could do something about my lack of motivation!
    Hi Irene.
May go to look at mattresses today, thinking about moving my guestroom to the main floor, but not sure how to rearrange our personal study rooms to accommodate that. Will see.
It's sunny and cold today. No special plans.
    Happy Sunday, everyone. :)
    Hi Vix
I am guessing that when You say rough trails You mean uneven ground ? That would put a strain on the ankle.

I am still in the avoid the doctor mode

I had a bad day diet wise Sunday and Today I am having cravings as a result. Motivation was lacking here Sunday :(

They claim that a mattress and pillows should be changed even if they seem OK periodically, I am not sure I agree.

Have You noticed that the newer mattresses only have one sleeping side vs the older ones where You could flip them end for end and turn them over to get a longer life for the mattress ?

Is there any need to move the Guestroom to the ground floor, Maybe to get guests further away at night ?

    Good Luck with the planning

good morning, went for a nice long walk almost 2 hours, we did find a penny today it was so worn out not sure how it is. no big plans for today maybe go for a ride later. take care everyone
    Hi Irene
Wow, 2 hours is longer than I want to do in any one walk. Congratulations on that.

The last pennies I found were pretty corroded that I almost missed them and likely would have if not for the shape. One side is worse than the other, Likely the top side or maybe the bottom where they were sitting on wet ground, I'm not sure.

If You got out riding, I am sure You had fun

    Have a Nice Day
