    Good morning.
It's been rainy here. Rained most of yesterday, and supposed to be the same today. We did our monthly run to Wegman's yesterday, and stopped at Lowes to replace a rose bush that didn't make it. Then I planted some coleus outside. Need to thin out my indoor plants!
Hopefully will make it to the sheep and wool festival today.
Supposed to be in the 70s here this week too. We haven't turned our AC on yet either. We have really good insulation in our house.
    Happy Sunday. :)

    Good morning;
Yesterday, was a beautiful day. The weather here is supposed to be in the 70's for most of the week. I am loving this weather.
We had a tree taken down out front. After the winter we had last year and all the downed trees we didn't want to take any chances. If the tree fell it would have ripped all the power lines off the house.
Vix-Congrats to your son's girlfriend for passing the bar. I hope you win an award for your painting.
Roger-I have not turned on the AC yet. There has been a nice breeze at night, just right for sleeping.
Irene-Good luck with the Grubex. $600. is a lot of money for no guarantee.
This morning I am doing house work and then running errands. I want to pick up a few replacements plants for the ones that didn't survive.
    Have a great Sunday! :)

    Hi Joanne
We were lucky that the tree people hired by the town following all the storm damage cleaned up the tree branches that were over the power & cable lines to the house as part of the towns cleanup. The trees we would like to have gone can not be done as they are in other peoples yards and those people can not have them done as they are town trees and You have to get the towns OK to even trim them. They only remove diseased trees :(

I felt the need to run the AC for three days last week when the living room hit 80 degrees.

We were out to the nearby Home Depot yesterday and picked up mulch, Lime, Fertilizer and Some Raised bed soil to bring the raised beds level up some more. We looked at flowers and such and decided later

It is handy with the F150 pickup truck that we can get a lot more in one trip than when the purchases had to go in the back seat or trunk.

    Good Luck with the plants.

    Hi Vix
You had no luck with the rain, we never saw any and so far the spotty showers have not appeared. My brother was wondering if we wanted to get a Rose Bush, I said no, the two we put in are not looking that good.

Coleus is a easy plant to use. If I had house plants to thin out and they had roots I would put them outside too, Waste not, Want Not

This house is from the 50s and the walls have no insulation, if I had not put some in the attic to replace the thin original insulation it would be even worse than it is. If I were to hit the Lottery I think I would have everything insulated with a Spray Foam insulation.

Good Luck getting to the Festival

    Hi Irene
It was some cooler today when I went out the door, nice for walking too.
If it rained my brother would be happy since he went out back yesterday and spread the new fertilizer all over the gardens beds.

No plants yet, All that needed planting were last years Dahlias and Gladiolus, I am still waiting for the cormlets I planted to sprout, hopefully they are viable. FWIW
    https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/bulbs/gladiola/propagating-gladiolus.htm
Apr 4, 2018 ... Dig up each corm and remove the small cormlets from the bottom. Store them over the winter and plant them in the spring. The cormlets will grow into a plant, but won't produce a flower this first year. Dig them up for storage at the end of the season, then replant them again the next year to produce flowers.

    Thank You for saying So

    Hi
I'm back from walking 1 cent. The temperature this morning was 57 degrees. The walking was nice today, The 70% chance of rain yesterday ended up being a few stray drops on the window in the evening, Big Whoop.

Today's plan is to adjust the cut on the lawn mower, then cut the lawn.

    Hi Vix
    Nice trip to that festival...

Just curious, did You buy any Knick Knacks? I have always been somewhat allergic to wool, I do not break out or anything like that, I just itch where it touches my skin.

Congratulations on the Win. If I were entered I would place dead last :(

    Hi Irene
It was mostly a non event here for the rain too. What did fall was not enough to get things wet.

Good Luck with the handyman, Hopefully he is done before the showing and the showing is successful.

Thanks, Irene. Good luck with your fixes and potential buyers.
Roger, I don't usually buy knick-knacks. I don't want to crowd my house, and I seem to be making more knick-knacks than I can give away! But I look to see interesting ideas. I saw some really cute pottery pieces to roll out yarn, to hold knitting needles, and simple decorative pieces with sheep themes, lots of knitted/crocheted things and lots of beautiful yarns of different types.
    Hi Jo.
I don't think it rained here yesterday either, but it was threatening all day.
Today is beautiful and sunny. I have a massage appt this a.m.

    Hi
I'm back from walking and 2 cents. The temperature this morning was 54 degrees and the walking was nice too. I wore a light long sleeve shirt and the safety vest and they were enough.

Yesterday we adjusted the cut on the lawn mower, then I cut the lawn. I also did laundry afterwards, mainly the winter weight clothes so I could store them away until fall.

When I headed out the Door the Moon was coming and going behind clouds, Now the sky is clear and I see no clouds, It is supposed to be in the 70s despite the Temperature being the same at 54 degrees when I arrived home as when I left.

I can understand not wanting to clutter up the house. The items left from our decluttering are all things that were gifts from family or things that they made such as quilts or pottery.

I suspect that You enjoyed Your Massage Monday and will be enjoying the classes today

    Hi Irene
My Brother Limed things earlier this year. I suspect the latest purchase of lime is a just in case the PH tester he has shows things need more.

If I said I can not be bothered to seed the back yard, I regard Grass as more of a Green Strandy Weed that need too much maintenance

Good Morning, well yesterday on our 2 nd walk Annie was attack by 2 pitt bulls they almost killed her . I ran her over to the vet and they stitched up her neck, legs and back end she is really sore I think I was in shock the only thing that saved her was guys stopped and pulled the dogs off of her. The owners are neighbors and they offered to pay the bills and has built a run in there back yard so this won't happen again the only problem is some of the tears were pretty deep say a pray they didn't do damage to her muscles I take her back on Friday for a check up. well so today I will just take it easy

    Humor Again

    Hi
I'm back from walking no cents. The temperature this morning was 54 degrees and the walking was OK until the light wind arrived. There is rain in the forecast for later on today. Today's Plans are Bank then CostCo.

FWIW FedEx dropped off the frozen at 7:08 PM :( I was checking it in and storing it away until 8PM.

I had the new NS Cinnamon Coffee Cake @ 170 Calories before heading out the door, I put it in the refrigerator and gave it enough time in the MW to warm it instead of MW'ing it from frozen as indicated on the package or eating it at room temperature which was the alternative given. It was tasty too.

Today's CostCo visit is for three types of paper goods, TP, Kleenex and paper towels. One opened sleeve of TP left, One roll of paper towels and 6 Kleenex so a case of all three is indicated. Then I will look at the Fruit and see if anything looks good and pick up frozen vegetables.

FWIW the Frozen Vegetable selection at Whole Foods was not as good as at the ShopRite and pricier, OTOH 16 ounce bags at WF vs 12 ounce bags at the grocery store

I am thinking of hitting WF in the next few days for more Bacon to make BLTs with as their bacon was tasty.
