Howdy all y'all. It's satifying Saturday! It looks like it will be a nice day, albeit on the cool side.

Last night we went out to buy a desk, and stopped at a Chinese hot pot restaurant on the way home. The food was delicious, but I ate way too many noodles. Other than that, it may have been the healthiest meal we had all last month, with plenty of veggies and mushrooms.

Not a lot on the agenda today. J stayed up most of the night finishing up the "some assembly required" for the desk so will likely sleep in til noon or later today. Tonight we will probably start the month off with a pizza dinner. So much for healthy food so far if we do. LOL.

    Good morning all.
Irene, good to keep up the tread mill.
Ed, Chinese food stays with me for days...I love it, but it doesn't love me. Pizza sounds great too!
I am sticking to my healthy diet....keeps my inflammation down.
Foggy and 32 this morning, possible showers and a high of 44 expected today.
    No special plans.
    Happy Saturday, everyone. :)

Another slightly new scam to infect your computer is makin the rounds via compromised web sites.

Loud, annoying screech and a pop-up box, in front of, and blocking reading of, a clearly fake System Warning that purports to be from the system, that can't be interacted with. The pop-up block presumably CAN be interacted with by clicking on the OK box, but I am not falling for that nonsense. The box says:
    This site says...

Windows Firewall has detected that your Windows 10
    is damaged and irrelevant.

As a result your system files are automatically deleted.

Please follow the instructions to fix the problem
immediately. This way you will ensure that your
    system is always protected.

    [OK]

The SITE says this? Since when does a site that was supposed to just be presenting a news story give me system information that the SITE hasn't been given access to?

My WINDOWS 10 SYSTEM, which is fine, by the way, isn't giving me any error message at all, and would not be presenting them to me in that manner even if it were.

So...my firewall has not detected that my Windows 10 is damaged or irrelevant.

IRRELEVANT? That's the best scary word you could come up with? How about infected, or compromised, or anything that actually sounds believable?

And if my system files are deleted, then why is my system running just fine? No, I will not be following the instructions to fix the problem. Because there isn't one.

There are a number of ways I can close this tab without actually clicking the tab or interacting with the attempt to actually infect my computer. I will simply take advantage of one of those, clear my cache, and move on thanks.

    Hello!!
Irene good for you on that treadmill!! Still trying to get more exercise into my day. And Vix, good for you keeping to your eating to lessen inflammation. I do so well at home, but unfortunately not when going out and church. Trying to get a little more control of that. :) I am only bringing sliced cucumber to small group..buy I guess due to short sightedness I will be standing in some line with all the day before the super bowl people buying. :#
Ed, thanks for the computer warning. I just hate those scams. I won't click but they are so annoying..and it sometimes takes a minute or two..or 10 ..to get out safely..
Cloudy day, the napping kind here. But I sure need to do a lot of catch up things. So concentrating on that.
Thinking of you Val. Jo, I hope you are doing well and feeling less and less distress from your nerve pain. I know it is so easy to really want it gone. A pain in the...and where it is pinched!!
    Take care all!! <3

Howdy all y'all. It's sumptuous Sunday! It's supposed to get to 61 sunny degrees here, with no chance of precipitation.

I haven't checked the official verdict from Punxsutawney Phil, but if I had a groundhog here, he would have seen his shadow for sure. All the same, I doubt we'll really have six "more" weeks of winter, since we haven't really had much of one so far. But with Mother Nature, one never knows, do one?

I can show you my bloomers already!

    glh6372p7b82.png

Usually crocus is the earliest to bloom so I am a bit surprised to see this Lenten rose jumping the gun. I don't see any buds yet on the white Lenten rose, but they may be hiding under the leaves. The daffodils are not for behind, with lots of buds swelling and likely to open any day now, and I can see some grape hyacinths popping up.

Might get out to Kroger today to see if they have any of their weekend specials left. I got some on Friday morning, when the selection had not been picked over yet, so haven't missed out at all.

    Good morning all.
That's early for all your flowers, Ed. I do see some crocus popping up, and maybe some dafs or other bulb...not sure which. We sometimes get crocus in February. It has been a very warm winter so far...you never know about February and March. I always forget whether it's good for the groundhog to see his shadow or not...makes no sense to me! Logically it's warmer if there's sunshine, but I think the groundhog is the other way around.
Good for you and Irene, getting out of the computer scam. I had just a black box pop up the other day that was hard to get rid of. I don't play along with anything I didn't put there.
Jan and Irene, enjoy your church meals.
We're going out to brunch with some friends this morning.
    Happy Sunday, everyone. :)

    Good morning;
My pain is so much better, but I still have numbness in my index and middle fingers on my left hand. I have been going to the Chiropractor 3x a week. It has helped me a lot. I have an appt.
with the spine doc. on the 11th. I feel fine as long as I am moving around. If I sit or lay down my arm and back start to hurt. I must be pressing on the nerve.
On a sad note, Vinny crossed over the rainbow bridge on Friday. He got to the point where he could hardly walk and was having trouble eating and using the littlebox.

Aw, Jo, so sorry about Vinny. Hugs.

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, hope the spine doc can help relieve the rest of it. Must be really hard to get any sleep like that.

Not all that into the superb owl, so I had superb chicken for Sunday dinner instead. :)

Along with some home made jalapeΓ±o cornbread dressing, chicken gravy, and buttered peas.

So sorry about Vinny. It's never easy.

Howdy all y'all. It's marvelous Monday! It's supposed to get quite warm today, with no chance of precipitation. I need to get out for a few things and perhaps see about getting my second round on the Shingrix vaccination. And I need to catch Lilo soon for her fluid treatment.

    Thanks for the condolences.
I went to the chiropractor this morning. I have hardly any pain now and am able to move my neck better. I still have numbness in my fingers.
    Ed-Your dinner looks yummy!

hi everyone, Jo I am so very sorry sending prayers and hugs .I think we all know the pain of loosing a fur baby. Our weather here is beautiful it is almost 60 I will take it George took today off which is nice we got Annie out for an afternoon walk which she really doesn't want to go anymore ,we have no problems in the morning she just doesn't want to go in the afternoon. Did any one watch the game last night ? I thought it was a great game didn't care for the half time I felt that was not something a younger child should see, but that is just my opinion. Jo glad the pain is getting better take care everyone

Hi Irene, I only half watched the game last night. It looked like a good game. I was reading so really didn't pay attention. Halftime show didn't seem like anything special....interesting costume. I guess I didn't see most of it. It is a beautiful day here too. Nice that George took off so you could spend some outdoor time together.

    Hello!
Jo I am so sorry about Vinney. It is so very hard. Amazing how we feel them with us even after for a while. <3

It's 75 here and beautiful. I never seem to get around to planting bulbs. If I had them, I guess they would be up.
Irene, I am not sure anyone should have seen the half time show last nite, lol.. :D Unless they were at a strip club. I found the bondage in poor taste, and had enough of the crotch pulling and humping.. I thought the actual latin dancing great, should have done that more! I watched it on you tube because a friend was saying it went too far. Which is why I hardly watch cable anymore. Of course, that is just my opinion too, and being positioned in the bible belt for a little over 25 years. :#
    Hang in there everyone!!

I finally got my lab results back from my January 23 visit to my endocrinologist. All my numbers looked good, and in particular my A1c came back at a NON-DIABETIC level of 5.6.

This does not mean that I am not diabetic and it would still be a bad idea to eat a whole chocolate cake...but it does mean that, for now, my diabetes is very well managed!

Looks like rain in the forecast for the next 10 days...may get a break over the weekend. Guess mother earth is trying to clense herself with a shower. Corruption and pollution makes us sick.
I hope for a good day.

Howdy all y'all. It's thrilling Thursday!

It was a rainy night in Georgia.

I believe it's rainin' all over the world.

We have flash flood warnings and we are supposed to have thunder storms and rain all day and possibly well into the night, with the temperature falling tonight. Well, it IS Thor's day, so I suppose one might think it's appropriate.

Barring any sudden emergency, I don't plan to go anywhere today.

    Hello!!
One of my favorite songs there, Ed! :) Sleepy as we had our alarms for weather and flooding going off. One fatality in western Al. due to straight line winds. I am afraid Georgia and the Carolinas may fair worse. My yard is quite flooded in spots and still raining. I think I have had more than 4 inches of rain. Hope everyone stays safe and fairly dry in spite of the weather. <3 Talk about a rainy pattern!!!
