Hi Roger, sounds like a good walk this a.m.
    Hi Irene.
Jo, you've been keeping busy! Sounds like a lot of fun things. What is at the Dr. Suess museum?
No plans yet for today. Seems kind of chilly, but may go for a walk later. :)
    Happy Wednesday, everyone. :)
    Hi Vix
Today was a good day while walking as it was not to cold. I am not liking the sound of the weather that the forecast indicates will be moving in later in the day Friday, Wind and Rain, Yuck :(

    Have a Good Day

    Good morning;
Thanks for the birthday wishes. :)
Vix-Soda bread can be a little dry. I usually heat it and spread it with butter.
    Hi Irene.
    Hi Roger.
We have been busy. On Saturday we went to the Head of the Charles Regatta. It turned out to be a beautiful day. Sunday we went to a vegan food fest, my daughter is Vegetarian.
I ate some pretty interesting things, not all of them good. :# Monday we went to New Hampshire to the Holderness Science Center. We saw animals and hiked through their trails.
Tuesday we went to the new MGM casino in Springfield, MA. I allotted myself $20 to gamble with and came home with $18.00, not bad for 2 hours. We then went to the Dr. Suess Museum
and took some pictures. We have no plans today so far.
My car is in the shop getting fixed, so my daughter has been my chauffeur. :) She goes back to work tomorrow, so I will probably be stuck in the house for a few days. No problem, as there is always plenty to do around the house.
    Have a great day! :)
    Hi Joanne
I think I forgot to wish You a Happy Birthday, so here is a belated Birthday Wish.

That is the way I like the Irish Soda Bread too.

A Vegan Food Fest does not meet my definition of festival food. As I see it a food Festival should have things like Zeppoles, Grilled Sausage Sandwiches, Meat on a stick, Funnel Cakes and more.

The Charles Regatta sounds like a boat race ?

Only losing $2 is not to bad and more or less sounds like the $2 is the casino margin built into the games. I have also heard in the past that as regards Slot Machines that the closer to the door the lower the chance of wining, That is based on being in Las Vegas in the past.

Good Luck getting the car back, I am guessing that will be the body work from the accident.

    Have a Nice Day

    Hello,
Went to art class this morning. Started a new painting (a cardinal). Then went for a walk in the park.
Irene, hope Annie's paw gets better quickly.
Roger good that you keep up the walking.
Hi Jo, it's nice to be off work, even if you are stuck at home. :smirk:
I've got so much to do at home, it always seems to get ahead of me.
Hope everyone is having a good day. :)

    Good morning;
Irene-I hope Annie's paw is better soon.
Yesterday I put away some more of the outdoor stuff. I still have a few plants that I will store in the shed until next spring. I like to put them in the shed, so the pots won't crack during the cold and snow.
Roger-The body work on my car is from the accident. I will call them today and see what the status is on my car.
    Hi Vix.
I had a surprise visit from my nephew last night. He was in the area and stopped by. I hadn't seen him in a while so it was nice to catch up.
Nothing planned for today, but I am sure I will find something to do.

Hopefully there is no damage to Annie that will need more than some rest.

I doubt that I will be going out Saturday if the weather forecasts are accurate as to heavy rain and high wind.

    Good Luck

    Hello Vix
Interesting, a Cardinal sounds like it will be a pretty painting. As regards art, I draw a great Stick Figure

While walking I am seeing more intricate Halloween decorations daily. I have a three different colored LED light to put inside the Ceramic Pumpkin for Halloween Day, the rapid cycling of the LEDs should let Trick or Treaters know we are open for business. They are really bright too.

I just need to get the ambition to do some cleaning.

    Have a Good Day

    Hello Joanne
We are in a holding pattern waiting for the killing frost to get the Dahlias and Figs, Then it will be dig the Dahlias and pack them away for the winter in a cool location and Protect the Fig Trees against the wind and snow.

It sounds as if those plants can handle the cold, I would be worried about water in the pots freezing and cracking them too if I had Anything like that outside, As it is whatever is in the pots are not winter tolerant so I just dump out the soil and put them upside down.

So nice when family comes by.

    Have a Nice Day

Good morning....gray and chilly out...similar forecast to NJ....rain later and through Saturday.
May go grocery shopping, do some things around the house. Going out later in the afternoon with my daughter to pick up some things for her baby shower coming up in a couple of weeks.
Glad Annie is doing better, Irene.
Roger, so far I've just put out my Autumn wreath...maybe I'll pull out the Halloween things today.
Jo, I just brought one plant inside....I have another one to bring in, but that one's really heavy! Not supposed to be frost again for a while, it survived the last one, and I'm not sure where to put it, it got so big.
    Anyway, have a great day!
    Happy Friday, everyone.

    Good morning;
My car will not be ready until the middle of next week. They found a few more thing that need to be repaired and are waiting on approval from the insurance co.
Today my daughter and I are going to take a glass blowing class and make a blown glass pumpkin. It should be fun.
The rain hasn't started here yet.
Have any of you been watching the world series? I haven't been able to stay awake that long.
Have a great day and stay dry. :)

I just posted more humor, Partially Cat based today

    Hi
I'm back home from walking and No Money found. The Temperature out the door was 45 degrees and as comfortable as it could be with the rain that forecast for today, Saturday. Since it was only rain falling I decided to go walking, while walking the wind started blowing. I did see a pair of walking appetites eating the landscaping at one of the Churches here in town :(

All day Friday they kept revising the weather forecast, Only as to when the rain and wind would arrive. They kept moving it later and later during Friday, and the last one I saw mentioned arriving around Midnight Friday in Saturday, I suspect it slowed down even more based on what I saw out the window prior to walking and while walking, Or to put it another way despite the steady rain the Puddles were not to bad.

    Hi Irene
Good news for Annie I see. Shorter walks can help get Annie back to 100% faster IMO.

It was not as bad as the weather forecast made it out to be, Thankfully. I was wearing full rain gear OTOH.

I seemed to have more free time when working too
