CHALLENGE: A mile a day in May

Ashley, thanks again for starting this challenge. I'm loving it! I now I walk a lot during the day (and my fitbit can confirm that! LOL), but doing more than that is definitely making me feel great! Each day I find the time to purposefully (love that word!) walk at least a mile, and it's great for mind and body. I'm about to hit the ground to get a walk in for today before it gets too crazy!
Thank YOU all for participating!! It really means a lot to me. Before NS, I had tried this challenge being accountable only to myself, and I inevitably only end up completing half of the days in the month due to one excuse or another. It helps so much that you all are keeping me accountable and motivated! So, thank YOU!!0 -
Got my 3 miles in this morning after taking the granddaughters to preschool, glad we are having a cool week.0

Only got one mile in today. Spent the day caring for Granddaughter and taking her to the
Doctor for an ear infection.0 -
I got in 2.3 miles in. There is a huge hill near my house and I felt like Rocky getting to the top of it! lol!
Kat- Prayin for a swift recovery for your grandbaby0 -
My dedicated mile yesterday was mowing lawn. lol! I couldn't believe I walked over 2 miles just walking back and forth mowing my lawn!!!!0
-
My 5K was yesterday. Ended up walking more than 10 miles, according to my fitbit, and more than 5 miles of that was purposeful walking for exercise. My best day yet. I doubt I'll be able to match that anytime soon! LOL.0

Hello!
I average about 2 miles a day (according to my Fitbit) but it sure feels like more.
Yesterday, I did 2.86 miles. I will log later this evening with how many I finished with today.0 -
Very good, Bessma. My, what a day you had. :)0
-
Went to Sea World with the Grandkids today 2.9 miles so far. I hope it is 3 miles by the time I help unload the car and walk to my house.0
-
Got in almost 2 miles walking today. But, did a lot of stair walking, too. That should be triple miles, right? :)0
-
I'll bet your bed is calling you, katbird. Sounds like a fun time.0

Seaworld is so much fun!!!
I did not get my dedicated mile in yesterday, I was very busy during the day despite needing to sleep before working last night! I'll get it in today, though. Somehow, someway, I will do it!!! lol!0 -
I know you will, ash.
Got in 2.8 walking briskly today. Yeah!!!0 -
Way to go, Nightingale!
It's only 5 p.m. here, and I've already hit my step goal for the day! Yay! This challenge is doing wonders for my fitbit stats--love it! According to my fitbit, I've walked more than 5 miles today, but only 2 count for this challenge since the other 3 were just from taking the long route to get things done. This challenge makes me get my walks in, and my fitbit makes me take the long way to get in extra steps. Win-win!0 -
Got 2.7 miles in today. Slept 9 hours after my weekend with the grandkids. Think I will go do one more lap around the complex so I will have my 3 miles in.0

Excellent, Beesma and katbird (grandkids will definitely make you pass out, won't they? But, boy aren't they nice?)0

I can't wait! My oldest is getting married in October, and she told me the other day that I'll be a grandma within the next couple years--she said they're planning to wait six months to a year. I'm so excited about the wedding, and the prospect of a baby a year or two after is pretty amazing.0 -
I'm grinning for ya, Beesma.
They are pretty cool. I have 9 from about age 16 to 1 1/2 years.0 -
I got 2 1/2 miles in before lunch. Found my frozen food on my porch when I got back. I will do another mile this evening. My granddaughter loves it when she can go on her bicycle for a long ride. I will push the 3 year old in a stroller. The mile is too far for her still.0

Good job, katbird.0
