Adding 25 miles for 136 out of 300. Just a tip for the day. If you're going to ride a threshold test on the road, don't ride that last part away from home. I got done and my legs were smoked. Then I looked back down the valley and thought, "CRAP! Now I have to ride all the way back home." Fortunately some electrolytes and some easy riding and I recovered quickly.

Well, my knee pain is subsiding after waking with it on Tuesday. I am in my taper now but I still need to get some running in for my half next Sunday. Sure hope I can run it. Loved my first one and am excited in trying my second. So just getting lots of walking in and some easy cycling. Just going to leave it in God's hands. If he wants me to do this, my knee will be ready, otherwise....another half for another day.

@anaconda369: will be thinking of you. Be careful.
July 9: 8 miles of walking and of course more rain!
    TTD: 90 miles

Had to work today, but that didn't keep me from moving. Of course it helps that I'm stressing over my upcoming classes-I usually end up pacing around the house or yard while practicing the material.

Added 4.5 miles today for a July total of 41 miles

It's good to see some of our walking and biking wounded up and moving again. Take care in your recovery.
@clepant and anaconda I am really conflicted for you. I want you to get out there and go, but I also want you to be careful. So, go have fun, but if it turns out your body isn't ready yet, listen to it! I want to see you able to get out there many more days to come.

I'll be back on this challenge next Thursday, 7/9. I'm going camping starting Saturday and highly doubt I will have Internet access where I will be, as my cell carrier signal is nonexistent in the boonies. I can't wait to jump ship from AT&T back to good ol Verizon in October!

I'll be keeping track of my miles, though. I hear there's a very nice, paved state bike trail where we will be camping...can't wait!

WHEWWWW! A warm one today for this heat-fragile Minnesota boy!!!:laugh: Got a shorter 1.7 mile lunch walk in today and looked like I'd fallen into the pond again because it was so humid that I was sweating buckets!

The spreadsheet has your total at 60.10....so does that mean to add 6.5 to that for a new total of 66.6??

I'm sorry that I've been so MIA... it's really been a whirlwind of a month so far. I can't believe it's been nearly 2 weeks already since we got our foster daughter. She is delightful. And in so many ways, it's gone more smoothly than I expected. And yet, it's still a huge transition and today was the first day I've gotten to the gym ALL MONTH. I could definitely tell that I haven't been working out, but it was good to sweat and get some stress OUT.

A big THANK YOU to Dave for taking over my spreadsheet duties for a time, as I adjust to the "new normal."

    15.2 miles today. 15.2 MTD.

@hkristine1: Hope all continues to go well with your foster daughter. how old is she.
@Lovemyalex: My dad had knee surgery about 15 years ago and I showed him your knee. If your bandage is off, and you so desire to humor me, I would love to show him a pic of your scar(s). He had the old knee replacement when they almost amputated your leg. He is 92.

Got in 3 miles with the furry kids before it heated up, got a "catch all" building cleaned & organized, watered garden & beds. Then while dinner was simmering I hopped on the ex bike for 4 miles. 7 total for today.
