Kept my word and went to the gym for the extra treadmill run/walk intervals and then lifting after. I managed to run even more of the time tonight, but still needing the short walk breaks every 6 mins or so. But I'm getting there!!

I just love my iPad and how it continues to change spelling even after I correct it.
@Lovemyalex not Loce tales: How is your knee doing these days?
@anaconda469: Being in a athletic profession I can attest that medicine in the past would have sent you right back out there after a few weeks. But now concussion issues are taken much seriously as well as the spine. You can end up with all kinds of neuropathy and life long side effects if you push too much too soon. Athletes are the most stubborn, pig headed breed of individuals on the face of the earth. We refuse to listen to our own pain and push through it thinking we will win if we overcome it with mind over matter. I know...I have been there. I did a sprint tri four months after knee surgery last year and looking back I should not have done it. My running was half walking because I started having tendon issues half way through the run and my cycling was half uphill and the rest down. I road recklessly through the downhill to make up time lost on the first half and could have had a terrible spill. This morning I woke up with knee pain again and am not sure why as I have felt none in the past weeks. Will I do my half marathon in 12 days if it continues. No. There will be lots of other races and events but I only get on real knee so it is not worth the permanent damage I may I cause. I am sure you know all this and I feel for you as you strive to get back to doing something you dearly love but listen to your doctors and to your body. Sorry for my two cents but sometimes hearing it from someone else makes the decisions easier to swallow. I will keep you in my prayers.
... Very slow going here... I am still having a lot of swelling ... So PT is going slow...little set backs only make you stronger and more detremend to make a full recovery...0 -

4.6 mile walk after spending the morning in both the Apple Store and AT&T. My iphone had to be replaced. I hope the frustration burns extra calories. While walking around the lake, something hit me in the elbow, knew it was bigger than the bees and wasps that usually bounce off me (two in my eyes in the past two days), and then I heard a cooing or hoo-ing on the opposite side of the trail - definitely avian. Hope it was a momma afraid for her babies, rather than a bird either hurt/sick or getting hurt after the collision. Either way I scrubbed my hands and elbow with antibacterial soap so my own bird stays germ free.
Now it's back to trying to get all the apps to open and in order. iTunes keeps shutting down every few minutes as well

Decided to walk to my mailbox today instead of just up and down my driveway. Well, it's a little further to my mailbox than I initially thought. Once I got there, my GPS tracker showed I had already walked my normal post surgery walk and I was super tired. Had no choice but to walk back and I'm feeling it. I believe I will just stick to my driveway for a few more days.

Been MIA for a bit - vacation and no service. I thought TMobile and AT&T merged or something like that so was very puzzled to be completely locked out of my phone in all of Montana and Wyoming. And my kid absolutely refused to let me ride my bike in Yellowstone. Dragging a kid someplace he doesn't want to be is just a bummer. By the end of the drive through Yellowstone, "Yeah, me too kid. Lets just get home." Sigh. I now know why a friend of mine always took vacations without her family.
