Difficulty not going over my protein while getting enough fat

so I'm tracking everything but I always seem to be under my fat and over on my protein. I'm not sure how I can get more fat without upping my protein (I refuse to eat butter by its self). Any suggestions?

Avocado. Cook with butter, coconut oil and log it. Bulletproof coffee.0

I can't do butter in unnatural ways either so I eat a whole avocado everyday which helps0

Mayo, heavy cream, sour cream, cream sauces.0

I spent some time among Tibetans, so for me, putting salted butter in tea is entirely natural, haha.

Do a search for fat bomb recipes. Some are fantastic! Most fat bombs are reminiscent of dessert though so that is a trigger for some people. Not everyone can tolerate artificial sweeteners but there are also some savory fat bomb recipes out there!0

I find that a cup of broth with coconut oil in it is tasty and adds salt and fat. If you do it at the end of the day you can adjust the amount of coconut oil to fit your remaining calories. For me, it's tasty and satisfying.0

Use fattier cuts of meat. What kind of meats are you eating right now?0

ummmm…butter used in any way is natural as I see it..<grin>
Maybe the CICO crowd will rise up and protest the unnatural use of butter too?0 -
Peanut butter powder (or almond butter) mixed with coconut oil--add chia seeds or hemp hearts for tasty crunchies0

I meant ways that seem unnatural according to the non-Keto way of eating... I'm still new to this and old habits die hard . I'm getting better at making conscious choices to incorporate butter into my meals but when it comes to the idea of eating it straight up or drinking it, I'm still not there yet...
Btw, what does CICO mean?0 -
calories in = calories out
The general concept is that your macros shouldn't matter, just calories. So a 1500 calorie diet with 500 calories of carbs should work the same as a diet with 1000+ calories from carbs...0 -
I'm the opposite- no problem hitting my fat but protein is an issue. I've had to start adding protein powder a couple of times a week0

What calculation are you using for your protein goal?0 -
I'm doing 75/20/5 (fat/protein/carbs). I get a decent amount of fat out of bulletproof coffee, which might be why I have an easy time hitting my fat0

Keto works in this way. MEET your protein goal, LIMIT your carbs and fill the rest with fat. You don't have to reach your fat goal really. I rarely do and I'm doing just fine.0

too much protein, is a good problem.
Too little fat in your diet is a rare thing. Butter, cheese, coconut oil, whatever.
I feel any fat "goal" is secondary to protein goal, which helps preserve muscle.

Avoid dairy & nuts/legumes/seeds...these have too much protein despite being mostly fat. It all adds up especially if you eat meat for your main protein source.
I concur with fattier cuts of protein sources: bacon, chicken thighs, lamb, salmon, 80/20 ground meats, etc. (eggs too about 1:1 protein:fat gram per gram). Some good fat choices that are more savory than eating say butter or cream cheese in isolation: avocados & coconut butter ("fat bombs").0 -
