So there has been a lot of talk about losing that 5 pounds for each of the next 2 months. So 10 pounds total. I believe Chris started this. But I could be wrong. Anyway, for those who want to keep track of their weight for inspiration this is a great place. I woke up this morning and was up to 153! When did that happen? Egads!

Ah nuts! Seriously though, cashews may be responsible for my five pound fluctuation. Almost bought a can tonight but they were full price at RiteAid (CVS often has half-off). So that's a good start. Let's see what giving them up can do!

:drinker: Raising the dumb-poms to a nuts-free December!

Ladies we made it though one day nut free!!

Shelley, good job on the NO Cake Tuesday!!

No peppermint for me...that's cuz I threw it away!

Bwahaha! I went to BevMo with DH and wandered around...picked up a bag of shelled pistachios...weighed them in my hand for a moment then put them back on the shelf. :o dumb-poms up!!

    My eating was good today!

Let's see what the scale does tomorrow. Friday is my actual weigh in day.

Peppermint, nuts and sweets seem to be an issue with us three! Looks like we all made a better choice yesterday. I stood in front of the vending machine before the county commissioners meeting last night. Even tried to put a dollar in one machine. It does not take bills, hasn't in years. Still won't. Lol. But I made it past the other one!

Chris good job putting them back!

I so need to be a part of this. My 5 pounds found me again. I can't seem to lose it and keep it off for good. Maybe an extra challenge will help.

    Starting weight 204

I have to get under 200 by Dec 31st. I refuse to go into 2016 over 200 lbs. Another 5 in January would be great. More exercise less night eating...especially carbs.

Yay! Kathy! How did you do yesterday? What is your plan for today? Do you have a particular item we can add to our ISSUES LIST?

Yesterday was great! Today 138.2. During the week I weigh myself at 5:30. On Friday, I weigh at 7:30. I was surprised, but those two hours make a difference.

    Be determined today, my friends.

Wohoo Kathy! Night time eating is my downfall also. Going to start by limiting myself to only a small piece of anything I have. Or only fruit. And I have decided I need to log my calories after dinner to see if I really have calories left for late night snacking! I bet I don't.

    Nice job Chris.

It really stinks when Rocky sits down next to me and just chows down! Grrrrrrr

I blew it already! Coworker just returned from Phillipines and said, "here, try these cashews my brother gave me" that she'd brought back with her. And a half piece was in my mouth before I remembered.

    Starting over...

Oh, starting weight. Good point. Let's say 163.

Yesterday turned into a rest day...or should I say lazy day. Chris you may add the following to the ISSUES LIST: nuts, potato chips, crackers...yes salty snacks is my downfall.

If I could sleep I wouldn't eat. Headed to the office today and tennis practice with coach later. Taking my lunch to work no eating out.

    Have a great day ladies.

Paula tomorrow is always a new day! We'll get this!!

Kathy your issues are my issues...I'm a salty girl!! Eating out is hard. I have a b'day/Christmas lunch on the 12th with two friends...going to BJ's...going to have chili and no dessert. Ugh!

Shelley good going today! It's a good feeling to stay within your calorie goal.

Today was good. Down a little...weigh in tomorrow.

    Hang tight ladies!

For me, it's flour-stuff: bread, cereal, cookies, bagels... sigh...

My cravings have diminished somewhat - probably from minimalizing the floury-stuff. So nice not to be thinking about food all the time. Taking lunch to work helps a lot! Helps not to have snacky stuff around. Must not shop!

    Haven't weighed recently. This weekend...

Weighed this morning...down slightly 203.2. I'll take it! Probably the extra cardio from Coach. I plan to walk today and complete the challenge. Will weigh in again on Monday for another challenge group...have to report.

Paula my cravings are still there...work in progress and I'm not winning yet.

Chris - enjoy your lunch and I know you will get those miles in.

Shelley - good job staying within your calories!

Kathy...good job on the downward trend and may it continue!!

Paula, keep at it and pretty soon they will be old memories! I don't go down those rows at the grocery store.

Shelley, I'm hoping your trend has continued.

Today was my weigh in...136.4!! I love it!! This is the lowest I've been in over a year!

    Today is my REST DAY.

Weighed in...then tried to find items for DH at the wrong grocery stores...NOTE THE WORD>STORES...then went to 1st grade then went to Safeway and got happy!! Sometimes it's crazy...this store doesn't have this but has better chickens...this store doesn't have that but has better produce...EGAD!! Good thing I like to shop!

I've got a load of unread magazines that need my attention, and I have to finish the book I'm working on. I wish you all supper success today!

Kathy I wish yours and my cravings will fade soon. Let's lose some pounds!

Paula I love cookies also. Nopey nope nope!

I was down today also. I will have to double check before putting it here.

Good job ladies, we are all working hard at this and that's the important thing...no one is giving up or giving in. Tennis match today. Will report in later.

    I like your thinking, Kathy!!

Your cravings will fade after a bit. Just keep the stuff in the back of the cupboard or out of the house completely. Try putting stuff in your car trunk if you can't throw it away. The cravings hit me at night, and it's too darn cold to go out and get it at night!! Then on trash night...DH puts the cans at the curb and I'll get "whatever" from my trunk and dump it in the trash can.

Going to the gym w/DDD then walk w/DH then bike w/self!!!

    Back later...BE STRONG MY FRIENDS!

Fighting the good fight, we all are!

161.5 today - but it still feels like those not real pounds that might disappear or reappear at whim. To the long term. :drinker:

Hope life treats you well today.

    Yes, Paula, we all are!!

I was up a bit this morning...137.0, but I did weigh in earlier than yesterday. My eating has been good today and no junk or trigger food for me! I got a lot of exercising done, and I'm happy!

I hope you all had a good day!

Seriously Chris. It took me a couple minutes to figure out that 137.0 was not earlier than 4am and that you weren't resorting to your early-rising habits!

I've been too busy to eat. Always nice. Keep cans of chicken soup at work for when I can't go out. Had chicken soup all last week...

202.4 this morning...slowly but surely! Eating had been much better. Tennis 3 days this week has also helped...especially the 2 hour match.

Driving home today and turned into the market to buy cashews. Then remembered they are taboo! And so, did not stop...

Paula, I'm so glad I don't have to get up that early any more!! And GREAT JOB on your "U" turn!!! I'm proud of you!

Congrats! Kathy!! Good going! Love it when it's a downward turn!

I was the same today as I was yesterday...137.0 HOWEVER...I weighed in even earlier today than I did yesterday! We walked early then I biked then we headed over to DDD and SIL's so DH could set up DDD's new computer. Now I have to get to my DVD workout. So, my friends, I will be back later! Be good!!

Okay...I did 30 mins w/Kelly Coffey-Meyer and a bunch of weights! Shelley you would really like this workout...Muscle Up Lift 2B Fit. Actually, Kathy and Paula you would like it too. Today targeted back, chest and shoulders. Tomorrow I'll do the second workout which targets leg/glutes and arms.

I had half a sandwich from the kids favorite sandwich shop and it was a lot more calories than I thought it would be. DARN!! But everything else was right on target. Tomorrow I'm up at 5:30. I have my fingers crossed that the scale doesn't change.

See you all in the a.m.!

I'm not sure if I'm glad this challenge is keeping me away from cashews or sad. At the moment my tastebuds want them and my brain can't remember why they're bad for me.

I think that is what she means. :D

This weekend was tough. Not sure how I did. I was down a pound. To busy to keep track of what I ate. But I think I did ok. I did mess up a bit. I made some Rocky Road fudge and had to sample some. Ok, not had to, but did. It is all frozen now. Christmas is still not here. Bad cop, no more fudge!

    Night all,
