Uh oh Paula. Bagels are yummy. I buy the mini ones when I must.
152 this morning. Down a pound from last week. I did have cake, but kept in my calories today!

Man, are my ears burning!! Mine downfall is peppermint...as you know. But I'm down to 137.2 this morning. I walked, biked, and did the gym w/our trainer it today. Friday will be the tell... I am dreading lunch w/friends Saturday, though. Must get some stuff wrapped so I can take it to lunch!!!

Well still down from last Friday, not much. 151.4. It is because I could not leave the junk my DH brought home alone! Argh!

Shelley you are so right...I'm up 2.0 from last Friday. UGH!!!! I did it myself...no one to blame here except me.
Today is my REST DAY, but I may not rest the entire day...we'll see how I'm feeling after a Friday in 1st grade!!

My darling girlfriends,
This is hitting so close to home!!!!! Was in the store and all these justifications for cashews kept running through my head "C'mon just a small bag won't hurt" "You don't need to do this, y'know" "Just get some already" I may have even thought "You don't have to tell anyone about it" but if I did, I've forgotten.
I got out of the store without buying any. The fact that my demon is trying so hard to get me to eat it proves that I need to stay away from it. Otherwise it will be controlling me. It is such a head start to have not had any for (a week now?) awhile.
Today is a brand new day, Chris. But thanks, to you I don't need to start over.

Paula, my friend, I was at the same train wreck you were at this week...just replace cashews with peppermint. The bag has been in my trunk since Thursday. I need a far away trash can for it.
I am so glad you guys are here, too. I would be a fat mess if you weren't. I need the support.
I have the gym w/DDD this morning, lunch with two friends then walking w/DH if it's nice outside and then getting on the bike. It'll probably be dark, cold and rainy by the time I'm done, but I'll get it done!

I am totally proud of myself!! I didn't eat the dessert at lunch. I had one bite...too sweet (which helped) and I pushed it away.
I got the gym done, got the bike done, and got the walking done! It's been a good Saturday!

Today I was happy that the scale went down. But I caught myself eating 3 pieces of fudge! There, I was actually hungry. So I had some toast and was done!

I was down this morning too! Not to my most recent lowest weight but getting there. We had lunch with the kids today. I had Corn Chowder (only ate half of it) and a piece of sour dough toast!! Then we went to the bookstore...fun!

I hit 166 on Saturday and didn't even log my food on Sunday - it was so hopeless. I'm hoping some of them are not real pounds and will disappear as easily as they appeared. It would be worse if I was eating cashews too. Thank goodness for small miracles.
Chris, you're inspiring me. Half meals it is! (How many do we get. :laugh: )

Paula it is not hopeless. Honest. We've all been there. You have to keep trying. And you know the scale does just exactly what it wants to do when it wants to do it. I know mine does!! Were you exercising like a maniac this weekend?
I do not recommend eating half of a bowl of corn chowder...but you can't eat the whole thing...too expensive calorie-wise. I was so hungry by dinner time, I was almost crazy! I managed, but I'll have eggs next time we eat there.
I was the same weight as yesterday, but I weighed earlier. Got my fingers crossed for tomorrow. Walked w/DH and Bean this morning...sooooo cold!!...(total miles - 6.67 for 14,567 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.78 miles in 45 mins then went to 1st grade then went shopping. I didn't get a DVD done today. Tomorrow should be better.

I'm trying to think of something witty and amusing but got nothing. Kind of like my working out during the week. Can't wait for the sun to return!!!!

Paula, I miss the warm sun so much. We had sunshine today but I didn't even warm up until we were a quarter mile form home. I am a Summer Girl!!!

My weight was the same for the fourth straight day. Today hasn't been the best, but I worked out hard.

Went bike riding yesterday. My boss has cracked down and told us not to combine breaks with lunch, so only a half hour now.
Got the wished-for sun, Chris, but did you know it can still be frigid? Brrrr.... It was 32 degrees yesterday. Yep, it's freezing! Brrrrr... Does it get white and frosty where you live? It's our winter wonderland.
Shelley, Good job on your downward trend! Sounds like you've got your mojo back. :bigsmile:
I think of you guys every time cashews call me. (It sounds like Snoopy's supper dish.) Then Chris and Shelley on my shoulder say, you can do it Paula. And it's probably a couple of pounds that did not get added.

Chris being the same is better by far than having more. Stayed home today with my mom. Today my weight was down. Not sure how it will do with me being home though. Harder.

Walked w/DH and Bean early this morning (6.09 total miles for 13,298 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.41 miles in 45 mins and an excellent episode of Grimm! Then worked out to KCM's Muscle Up #2 then...nothing!! Played w/Bean and just chilled! Well, I did wrap 28 books for our DDD's first graders. We give all her kids a book for Christmas. It was a good Thursday!
I didn't make it to the store or to the post office today. I will be doing both of those things tomorrow morning.
My weight was up .4 this morning...I'm hoping it was because we worked out at the gym yesterday. Tomorrow is my weigh in. Got my fingers crossed. My eating was good today.
Paula, Shelley and I are doing little shoulder happy dances because you are cashew-free today!! ...right???

Eating was good yesterday and today. Got all my exercising done really early today...been reading in front of the fire! A fine Monday. DDD and I meet w/our trainer at 8:15 tomorrow morning. Don't know what will follow.

Good morning ladies. Sorry for being MIA but my mom has been sick this week...either stomach flu or food poisoning...doctors are not sure. It really hit her hard. She has been in bed for 3 days.
So now Christmas Eve & day are my sister's and my responsibility. I'm running around like crazy trying to get things done. Finished decorating yesterday and Ron and I had our Christmas last night as he leaves for home in the morning.
The scale is ugly 204.4 this morning. I'm just trying to hang in and maintain. The good news after tomorrow I'm off until Jan 5th. The week after Christmas will be my time to get refocused.
