You could ask her to join us here, if you think she'd fit in with us.

Shelley??? what say you, my friend? ;)

    Chris

I say the more the merrier! Within reason of course. I have a lot of catching up to do. And I could also walk away from that challenge. Find us a new one. I do not bike much though. I have to cover a commissioners meeting tonight. And I am previewing my workout DVD's for Kathy. Looking for some that will be a better fit for her right now.

Hubby and I spent Saturday and Sunday working a lot at a friends putting up dry wall and finishing a wall. That is why I have been awol.

Sunshine? Is that the stuff that sneaks through the clouds sometimes and blinds me with its amazing stunning blinding brilliance?

I'm down to 161.5 - feels like the loss is kicking in and becoming real - instead of inching upwards it's inching down.

You two make me laugh. Congratulations to you both! And yes, sunshine is the thingy on the alarm you hit in the morning. And sometimes the stuff that shines through the clouds to warm our shiny faces.

My eating was ok today. I will log tomorrow. I just didn't think about it today. This month has been fast. I am hoping to break even or down a little from the beginning.

So let's call this last week our last chance workouts!

Trends instead of moments, that's the bigger story. At the moment, I weigh 161.5, same as yesterday, nice.

Last fall my weight snuck over 166. The trend was up and it was scary. MFP's weight report reveals the dips and peaks as I started fighting. I've been losing a little and gaining it back since then. But the overall trend is down and that is great.

The pounds that almost became reality, now they fade away...

May all your trends please you. Hard work and concerted effort, you exhibit it all.

I did end up logging anyways last night. And my weight was 150.2 this morning. I am happy with that. Down 1 pound from the beginning of this month. Yep, last chance workouts and cleaner eating this week.

Paula that is great. Yep, headed in the right direction.

Chris that is wonderful news. I was hoping to hear this type of news! :h. August will be a fabulous month.

I was up 1.2 this morning!! It was a 5:30 weigh in instead of a 7:30 weigh in. And, I did exercise like a mad woman yesterday...could be all muscle..or water...yeah, water! :D Let's see what the week brings. DDD and I are planning the gym this evening. I hope she's feeling up to it.

Our Chase Visa was hacked AGAIN yesterday! So glad Chase is on top of this stuff. One was $1.00 at Lowe's and the other was 4.47 at a diner. Both done online and Chase said they were both accounts that get used to see if the bad guys can get away with it. Crazy!

Okay off to get a puppy in a bit. I'll be back later. Everyone have a grand day!!!!!!

I hate thieves for sure. So glad Chase is onto them. :grumble:

Sorry, Shelley...when I say I'm going after the puppy that means I'm on my way to pick up Bean. I pick him up every morning. It doesn't look like I'll get my own puppy. I think Bean and Baby will be plenty to care for come August.

Yeah, as for the pound...it bring me to a .2 loss for the month!!! bwahahahahah! :o

I completed my first KCM DVD this morning. When I saw the little preview to Muscle Definition I thought there was no way I could do it...I did. I really liked the upper body exercises. I used a 5 pound weight...I started to go with a 3 pounder but I knew Shelley would be disappointed and call me a wimp. ;)

I need a stepper to use as a bench but I modified without a problem. The lunges was the hardest part but again I did them my way. I received 2 more DVDs today and will try one tomorrow after work.

I also went to the park this afternoon and so far I have 12,363 steps for 4.95 miles. Then I came home and prepared a couple of meals for the week. I had a full day...so much so I felt like I was having one of Chris' days. :)

A good day! What did Paula say..."hard work and concerted effort."

    Have a good evening.

Good job, Kathy. And congratulations, Clara. Shelley, I think Chris should get a pup too. Bean would probably love a play buddy!

Chris, I lose a half pound for every hour in the morning until I start eating. So it's fun to weigh on weekends when I get up a few hours later.

Yeah, I was pretty happy with Saturday's weigh in then up and really up this morning. I weighed at 5:30 instead of 7:30! Makes a big difference! It will all be fine in the end, either that or I'll just throw my scale in the dumpster. Easy!

So what I am hearing from you 3 is to wait as long as possible before weighing in! You gals crack me up.

Kathy, Kathy, Kathy!!!!!!! Hugs girlfriend! I am so glad you challenged yourself. You are not a wimp. Not today anyway! You will have to be the judge on that. Kelly is always telling us to challenge ourselves. To not waste our time by using to light of weights. I actually really like Muscle Definition. And Kathy, lunges and squats will really improve your game. And upper body strength will knock that ball faster! As will cardio. More on that later. I am so excited to hear you actually did it. :drinker:

And a stepper is so versatile. I use it as a bench, a chair, I lunge off of it, decline pushups, step aerobics. And one of my favor is step boxing! Get a stepper with at least a total of 4 risers. Two is not enough for a bench. To much like lying on the floor. This is exciting!

I did Lift tonight. The second workout. I had not done it before. I rather liked it. Some lunges, lots of weights and some stretching. Also got in a walk. Not as much as Chris or Kathy. But good all the same.

150.8. Not great but still down from the start of the month. Weight lifting really is the key for me. So I better continue to do it.

    Clara great going!

Chris use a sledgehammer on that scale. Counts as weight lifting!

No KCM today. I had a 14 hour day with my commute. I got in a walk during lunch so I had 6,337 steps for 2.54 miles. All of my DVDs have arrived. I will do one tomorrow as I'm working from home.

    Good night!

I was down this morning...a little bit...but I'm happy, happy, happy about that since I don't have to take the sledgehammer to my scale and make a mess in the bathroom that I'd have to clean up! I did my new KCM...Strength and Stamina ...this afternoon...talk about glisten dripping off my body! Egad! that was a great workout!

Chris here is a towel, now stop dripping all over the place. :) I felt the same way this morning. Down is good.

Kathy I have started to do really short to mid length stretch DVD' s when days like that happen. It feels great to do 10-13 minutes of a relaxing stretch before bed. Tony Horton has a 30 minute one that you can just do the first 10 minutes. Or Tony Little has a stretch DVD that has a couple really short relaxing stretches on it.

Anyone else know a great short to mid length DVD for stretching or yoga?

Chris, you might want to be cautious about accepting that towel from Shelley. I understand her towels are well-appreciated.

Was up 2# this morning. Probably because I got up so early.

Don't know if I'm going to make it into the 150's this month, but am happy to have dropped a few pounds.
