I don't drink coffee, it makes me gag so what is the hot chocolate option about? Presumably not regular cadburys??? HELP!

I don't like coffee either, I replace it with chocolate protein powder or sugar free cacao

    Hot chocolate option as requested:
I think 20g Heavy whipping cream, 15g choc protein shake, 3g unsweetened cocoa powder, 5g dark chocolate, 350ml unsweetened coconut milk and 5g coconut oil was my recipe. Cant remember, but was yummy!! Almond milk also an option.

Thank you, Karlottap, and all! This is very informative thread for me. I am not sure I'm ready for mct. I just started coconut oil on Wed. My stomach was noisy yesterday, I think telling me to take it easy.

I enjoy my daily "over creamed" (w/ HWC) coffee with Splenda. It helps me get out if bed on these cold mornings!

I did try buttered coffee this morning, since I was out of HWC. It is Ok, but didn't knock my socks off.

    My first bpc (choc)
    10g raw cacao powder
    1 tbsp coconut oil
    1.5 tbsp kerry gold butter
    250mls boiled water
    60mls double cream
    Vanilla extract
    All zapped in the nutribullet

It tastes ok, the raw cacao is a little hard to take hence more cream and vanilla and the cream has brought up the calorie count but the texture and creaminess is lovely.

Its not unbearable and I think the issue with the cacao taste is because I am used to eating processed dairy chocolate so will persevere and hope I become accustomed to it.

But any tips on improving taste will be welcome xx

Oh I forgot to mention I melted down the butter and oils before making a paste with the cacao then added water

@beccyleigh suggest trying 5g of dark chocolate. I made a hot chocolate with whipping cream, 15g chocolate protein powder, 3g cocoa and 5g dark chocolate. The dark chocolate gives a richer taste and might be worth playing with to balance the cocoa flavour. Good luck. Love to hear the blend you like most.

Yeah, I was going to say to just use less cacao. And you don't need to make the paste, you're just blending it all anyway.

My hunger only kicked in around 1.30. I had bpc at 8.30. The hunger was abaited with 2 mini boursin pellets and a bag of pork scratching.
I'll try with less cacao and more coconut oil tomorrow and see how I go

When I first made it with cacao I used way too much, like 20 something grams, It was too bitter to drink :confounded: So strike me down, I added a 1/4 pack of splenda and it balanced it out.

Oh wow that's a whole lot of cocoa. I use 3 gr of dark cocoa powder it seems to be enough.

I know, it was my first time with cocoa and didn't know it was that bitter.. Lesson learned

I could never get the powdered cocoa to taste right, and I would really love to have a cup of hot chocolate. I make my bulletproof drink with chia tea every morning because I am not a coffee drinker.

You could try hot water or coconut milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and your choice of fats.

It might sound crazy, but I'm going to try BPC with hazelnut oil tomorrow morning, to increase my monounsaturated fat. It's pretty hard to beat the flavor of coconut oil and butter though.

I adjusted the cacao powder to 1 tsp and added 5gr 80% green and black dark chocolate. 1 tbsp coconut oil, 3/4 tblsp kerry gold, 8 tsp double cream, half tsp vanilla and it was much better. Nearly delicious lol
I will cut double cream next time as it is over 600 cals with that much cream.

I love this stuff, I have perfected the balance & basically I need no cacao powder as the 85% dark chocolate gives it enough taste & the oils & butter make it really rich & creamy.

I drank one on my morning commute today & I know it sounds odd but I can feel the fat melting off me.

I lost 4lbs over 2 weeks by cutting back on carbs but after 3 days of bpc (choc) I have lost another 3lbs. amazing

I put butter in mine yesterday for the first time! Omg!!! So good! Hubby tried some in his just coffee too and really liked it! Uh oh! The butter budget just went up, lol!!! I have ordered a brother too. The immersion blender works great at mixing, but not so well at keeping the liquids in the mixing cup! I even tried only filling the cup to half full, and it still overflowed! What a mess! So, a brother is now on the way to my house!

I use my nutribullet & use the travel mug so I can take it out the door with me on my commute.

Do you guys have it every day for breakfast? I think I can manage 4 days a week but do miss poached eggs for brekkie lol

I use a tall glass jar to blend my BPC with my immersion blender. That way it doesn't spill. Then I pour it in my mug to drink.

Actually, I have another trick. I blend half of the coffee I want to drink, with the butter and MCT oil. Then I pour half of that amount in my mug and top it up with fresh hot coffee. The rest goes into my insulated travel mug with more fresh hot coffee. I find it stays hot longer. I warm my travel mug up first with hot water, that keeps it even hotter.

Does anyone keep their BPC warm in a thermos? I've been drinking one each morning with double cream in place of butter but I'm thinking of making a second cup to bring to work for lunchtime (I have to eat at my desk if I want to squeeze in a gym trip at lunchtime, I'm thinking a liquid lunch might be easier), I'm just not sure how well it will hold together if I keep it warm for 4 hours. I mix it in my blender so it makes a really good emulsion but I don't know how long it lasts because I love the flavour so I've never let it sit around for long!

Hi all, just getting started with BPC. I' m using a little coconut oil and HWC. Based on the suggestions in this thread, I will wait to add in the butter until I get a hand immersion blender.
By the by, this is my first post, I have been lurking about for about a month. I thank everyone for the great info.
