    Day 2 (again) of tracking and eating better. My official date to start back dieting was Oct 15 but with me getting into 14s has lit some kind of diet fire under my butt. I’m ready to get into 12s. lol

    Today we sign the closing papers for the house in Texas and then we’ll FedEx them back. So, that part of it will be finished. Yay!!!! 10 more days til we close on our house here in Tennessee!!! 10 more days and we get to sleep in a house instead of a camper!! I’m so excited!!!!

    I have done really well the past few days with staying under my calories. I hope this trend continues.

    Well yesterday and today we’re shot on eating good. :lol: Tomorrow will be shot as well. So, I’ll try to use portion control and then get back at it on Monday.

    So, the last I updated about the house, we were set to close on Oct 12th. That never happened. Issues came up (someone dropped the ball on the appraisal and no one wanted to take the blame.) and we almost walked away from it. After some discussion and talking to both our realtor and mortgage guy, we have decided to stick with it and we are supposed to close this Friday. We shall see.....

    I had one house closing that was scheduled for 30 days and actually took 81...delays are pretty common for closings - at least in VA, not sure about other states. Hang in there, if it's the house for you then it will all work out!

    @WifiresGettingFit Things have been crazy. lol A good crazy but crazy nonetheless. Here’s to catch up......

    Last Friday we finally closed on our house. The previous homeowners were given until Sunday evening to get the rest of their stuff. Saturday we went to KY to get a trailer load of our stuff and had to rush back to the house cause of rain moving in. Well, we found out that the majority of our stuff smells really bad. Like musty barn with a hint of mildew. Our tables and other wooden items were either covered in mold or mildew so we’ve had to clean everything, so the move in process is going extremely slow. I’m also having to was all the dishes that we bring in as well. Chris went to KY on Sunday for another trailer load and we parked in under the carport/pole barn thing we have because it was supposed to rain this week and we went to NC and SC for a business trip Chris had. We got back today and tomorrow my 2 missions are grocery shopping and getting the kitchen clean. This weekend we’ll work on getting that trailer unloaded and then going back for more. I don’t understand how we have so much stuff. :lol: My diet has been put on hold again while we get this stuff done and organized. Eventually things will settle down and I can get back into a routine and back on track. Here’s a few pictures I was able to get.

    That is crazy busy but yay for closing on the house and getting your stuff moved! Itll be done before you know it!

    The pictures are gorgeous! It's so nice to see the sun even if it's in picture form! haha It's been dreary here. I'm already over the cold weather and it's just getting started. Haha

    @WifiresGettingFit I wish the sun was out more often. It’s rained about 85%-90% of the time since we moved to Tennessee. It’s crazy! lol Today its been rainy and cold and we’re still trying to get things unloaded off the trailer. It makes the process very long and frustrating. Especially since everything stinks and there are 374738473 stink bugs in and on our stuff. We’re trying to keep our house from smelling bad and keeping the bugs out.

    @jcaldwell0331 You could always try to put some baking soda in the area, it should absorb some of the moisture and odor. I believe there are stink bug traps, I've never used them but may be worth looking into. I'm sorry the process has had some added stressors but just remember that eventually it will be all done and you won't have to do it again!

    Love the new profile picture (I know you changed it a while ago and I meant to comment sooner haha), you look great! =)

    @WifiresGettingFit With a few days of sunshine we were able to get some furniture clean and into the house! We have our couch, rugs, table and chairs all back in the house!! It’s so nice not having to sit on the floor to eat. lol

    Thanks for the compliment. It’s amazing what you can do with camera angles. :lol:

    So did y’all do anything for Halloween? Maddie and I dressed up and met some friends for trick-or-treating. ddy8swzp5qj0.jpeg

    Slowly but surely things are getting done. Buuuuut..... hunting season opens up this weekend so the moving in process is going to get even slower. lol Hey, at least we may get some extra meat for the freezer out of it. Between homeschooling and stuff I have to do in the house, it’s hard for me to do the outside stuff as well by myself. We’ll get as much done as we can this week before he heads out of town for the weekend.

    Eating wise, I’m doing ok. I’m not overdoing it but I’m certainly not making super healthy meals and stuff yet. I found my scale today and that’s one item that I’m not in a hurry to get into the house. It wouldn’t hurt my feelings if lightning hit it and burned it up. :lol:

    @WifiresGettingFit Thanks! I certainly hope it’s a successful one.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    There is the chance of a snow/rain mixture this Tuesday. So, I think I’m going to make a crockpot meal. But which one? I’ve already done pinto beans and chili. Maybe stew? Hmmm....I’ll have to think about it. I’m not a huge fan of winter but I do love crockpot meals on cold days. There’s just something cozy about it. I went ahead and stepped on the scale outside (still haven’t brought it inside yet :lol: ) and sheesh! It said 227. I told it “what ever” and walked away. I hate scales. Soon, I’ll get the DVD player hooked up so I can start doing exercises in the house. Even though everything is still chaotic, I’ve got to start doing something. Otherwise, I’ll just continue to go the wrong direction. Today I’ve snacked more than normal. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
    I don’t thrive in chaos but those are the cards I have been dealt right now. I’m trying to not feel overwhelmed by all the stuff that must be done. At least I got a few boxes unpacked today.
    Chris did end up getting a deer this weekend so we’ll have some extra meat to put in the freezer. It’ll definitely help out on the grocery bills.
    Diet is pretty nonexistent right now. I’m getting pulled in so many different directions right now that dieting and finding suitable recipes is just one more thing to stress me out so I have let it be for right now. I won’t be unpacking forever. Whenever the chaos has stopped then that’s when I will get serious again.
    @WifiresGettingFit Things have been good. I started getting sick last Thursday and I think I’m on the winning side, although I am coughing my head off. I started my exercise video right before I got sick so I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m allergic to exercise. Hahaha! Once I am not coughing anymore I plan to start doing my exercise video again. We ended up with 8 inches of snow from Storm Diego and we had fun playing in it even though I didn’t get to spend much time in it before I had to go inside and sit down. Diet wise, I’m not doing too good but I never do around the holidays. I’m not one to make resolutions but I do plan on getting back on the diet wagon after the new year. Thanks for checking on me! :smiley:
    @WifiresGettingFit It’s finally starting to subside. Now, I usually only going to coughing fits when I start laughing. I was getting ready to make me a Dr appt last week but didn’t since things are different here than they were in TX. Back in TX you would just called and say you needed to see someone, if you were a new patient they would ask if you wanted anyone specific, then they’d tell you to be there 30 min early to fill out paperwork. Here in TN, you have to establish with a Dr before you can be seen unless you go to urgent care that doesn’t open until 6 pm. So, I just didn’t deal with the headache and have just treated my symptoms. I’ll have to establish with someone pretty soon though since I have high blood pressure and will eventually run out of medicine. I’ll do that after the new year. Things are too crazy right now.
    The urgent care there doesn't open until 6pm? That's really unfortunately and honestly seems to defeat the purpose of being an urgent care facility. Most urgent cares that I've come across are usually open in the morning and close later at night. The timing varies with location (and states obviously) but I would say the average is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    Yeah high blood pressure is nothing to mess around with. I totally understand things being crazy but I don't think it's going to be any less in the new year. That's when most people make resolutions to better themselves and I would say in a lot of cases that includes making appointments to see various doctors. I don't know how things work there but when I've called to get an appointment as a new patient I've sometimes been told that availability doesn't start until later in the month (usually the end of the month) or sometimes the next month (sometimes the end of that month) so it may not be something you want to put off if that's the case because they may not be able to get you in right away and you don't want to run out of your medicine.
    I hope you have a good weekend and holiday!
    @WifiresGettingFit Sorry, I kept getting on here to reply and kept getting distracted. It happens quite a bit. lol
    Going back to your reply from the 21st... as far as waiting to establish care until things slow down was more for things around here, not at the dr offices. lol Being so close to Christmas things were super crazy around here. My cough only shows itself if I laugh really hard, so I’m good. But don’t worry, I don’t play around with my blood pressure. HBP runs in my family so I try to take care of myself even though I fail a lot. I’ll get established with someone very soon. :smile:
    Now, as far as New Years. We never do anything for New Years. We’re usually in bed long before midnight. :lol: We’re definitely the life of the party.... hahaha!!! How about you?
