@kar: Also thinking that your weight gain could be that you are doing lots more weight training. Muscle weighs more then fat. My nephew runs on healthy fats. He has trained his body to burn these fats rather then depend on carb loading and have the bottom fall out when there is no more juice in the tank. More and more runners are doing this and moving away from the carbs.
I'd love to think that , but I'd have to be a gym rat on steroids to pack on five pounds in such a short time. My PCOS and love of carbs are the culprits. I'm discovering sunflower seed butter and a spoon keeps me less hungry for a long period of time. I'm curious to see if this works for me.
@taxmom9093 Definitely too fast. I actually start a second one on the morning of the 17th. It was one of the rare times there was a second week available and I grabbed it. This hospital has the option of letting you sell back your hours for 90% of the base pay, but I'd much prefer the time off and all the base pay (minus Uncle Sam's cut).

Had a beautiful day & the snow is all gone. Rode 10.5 at 5 a.m., spent the day babysitting all three boys while cleaning their house & doing loads of laundry. I brought the two older boys out to the farm with me & the DH & I took them for a 2 mile walk. It is 8:13 and I am EXHAUSTED. hoping for a walk with them again tomorrow.

Got a good 6 mile ride in on the stationary bike this afternoon while catching up on a couple episodes of Jimmy Fallon. At this rate, I might need to increase my goal!

There is one problem with the turbo trainer. I am putting in incredible (for me anyway) average speeds and miles that I have never done on the road. I just did 18 miles in 72 mins, for me that is blazing fast. Maybe this will make me a better road rider because I am finally building great leg and glute muscles.
