@Kirstie155 I'm sorry to hear about your bad weekend. That is definitely scary. I hope your husband recovers fast. *hugs*

I suppose I should update regarding my challenge. The 19th and 20th were a bust - both calorie wise and workout wise. Today is a new day though so I plan to do better, much better!

Had a bad weekend guys. My hubby blacked out and fell, hurt himself pretty badly and took a trip to the ER on Saturday. It was really scary. Since he was feeling awful we ordered pizza and ice cream. I continued to stress eat and didn't even bother to log on Sunday.

We aren't sure what caused the blackout, all tests came back normal. Right now we are just trying to manage his pain because he hit his head, back and behind very hard when he fell :'(

I probably wont be logging much this week, but am still here.

Oh my gosh! I hope he's ok!!! *hugs*!

This happened to my dad once, because his heart rate was really slow in the morning. He had to wear a monitor for a month or so afterwards.

That's aweful! I hope he is starting to feel better. Take care of your hubby and yourself in whatever way causes the least amount of additional stress.

This happened to my mom a little less than a year ago. After extensive testing, the doctors couldn't determine a cause. She had been incredibly stressed out though, so we think that caused a blood pressure drop or whatever led to the incident.

Saturday was a total bust for me. I did go for a walk when I was planning to take the day off, but I ate sooo much high calorie food. I didn't even try to log after lunch. That led to me gaining 3lbs. I assume most of it was water weight and I hope most or all of that comes off this week, but oh well if not.

I also didn't do my meal prep yesterday.

Me neither :( Maybe tonight.. but I'd really like to go buy runners first.

I've managed to be under my calorie goal for three days in a row which hasn't happened since the beginning of the month! I've also already got 238 minutes of exercise in for the week so I'm above my goal of 120-150 so I'm super excited right now. haha :)

Oh my!!! It's the last day of the challenge! I realize there was no weekly challenge (oops!) so instead you get a "Last Day Challenge":

Set yourself a "Just for today" target. Make it something that has been the most challenging thing to succeed on lately.

For me, I have a potluck tonight. I always over eat. So just for today, I will track as I eat and not go over my calories.

I've just been sticking with the same challenge since I haven't had a whole week where I was successful yet haha

That works! That is a very good challenge indeed - to the point I had trouble thinking of more LOL.

My just for today was not successful.
I was stressed and at a potluck and it was really fun so I just went for it. I probably could have done worse (a 4 person potluck never goes too bad - there aren't so many options)

Now today the stress has escalated and I am having trouble getting food down. This is like 1 week before the wedding type stress.

    Go away stress!

Yeah, I haven't come up with any others either but I also haven't been putting too much thought into it either as I don't see the point in adding additional challenges when I haven't been very successful with the first one. haha

I'm not sure what why you're stressed but I hope you find a way/ways to manage it that coincide with the goals you have placed for yourself, I also hope it goes away or at least lessens soon!
Stress is absolutely terrible for the mind and body and there always seems to be something to stress about unfortunately so finding ways to manage it are paramount.

I think it's important to be able to relax and enjoy the time with your family/friends; I'm glad you had fun!

Does starting running count :p ? Trying a Jillian Michaels dvd with the dog was pretty funny.

If running counts then I'm with you! I also just started. Yesterday in fact. Hahah how does your dog do a workout video?

He stood over my head and chest while I was on the floor, pawed me in the face during crunches, and jumped at me during the cardio intervals. I finally gave up on doing the cardio from the workout and instead ran around the house with the dog during those intervals. This worked okay until he got too excited and hit the corner of a wooden trunk pretty hard. He was fine, but sat in the corner pouting for a couple minutes because it hurt. After that he laid down to the side while I finished the last few minutes.

    Goals:
    • Finally get below 190 (currently sitting at 191.6)
    • Continue to be at/below calorie goal (currently on a 3 day streak - yay!)
    • Workout at least 4 days a week
(currently have a workout schedule that has one rest day and six workout days but 4 days is the minimum)
    • Be in a deficit/at-around calorie goal for a month straight
(and then another month and another month - basically I don't want to get off track and gain/lose the same pounds again like I pretty much did after I hit my first 10 pounds lost in February)

    Goals
    • Manage to stay in the 160s long enough to keep losing
    • Become a solid size 10 (right now I am a very large 10)
    • Stay within daily calorie goal - not going to happen this week with that banana cream pie in the fridge :p
    • Be a size 8 and in the low 150s by early October - this goal is for a trip to Hawaii that now looks unlikely
    • Learn to start and stop on my bike without practically falling over every time
    • Learn to run

    Goals
    • Happy marriage
    • More involvement with my faith
    • Happy job
    • Maintain between 131 and 135 lb (new range decided as of today) at least until pregnancy. Revisit the 129 lb goal during weigh loss after pregnancy (I feel like if I can really get going I can stay going and this "only 6 more lb" is not motivating me)
    • Gain only a healthy amount of weight during pregnancy and get back to starting weight within a year after giving birth
    • build up muscle content in my body and become stronger (recomp starting in t minus 3.8 lbs)
    • find a sport I like
    • Find out how the heck to maintain weight without having to track or weigh anything - go back to more normal eating styles (not old habits) while maintaining healthy amounts and variety. Essentially... not have to use MFP to maintain weight.
    • Actually build a fitness routine that will keep me going for life (even if I change it up, just looking for regular fitness)
    • Keep the house clean ALWAYS. Ugh.
    • Try martial arts

    End of April Mini Challenge:

My goal is to only workout once during these 2 days. BUT I want it to be a good workout that really gets my heart rate up rather than just the usual walk with the dog.

I have still been doing poorly with calories and would love to say my goal is stay within them, but weekends are hard for me anyway. So my goal is stay at or below maintenance calories (1900).

Yesterday, I was under calorie goal at 1384 and I was active.

Today, I am over calories as I had my cousin's wedding and have no idea of any of the nutritional value of the food so I had to fudge a good portion of my day. I didn't really eat that much there (the food really wasn't that great) but I had already had fast food for the two previous meals as we were traveling so much so I stand at a guestimate of 2451 but it could be more or less. I spent most of the day sitting in the truck traveling/in the church watching the ceremony/at the reception waiting for things to get rolling and we ended up not getting home until 10:30p.m. so just enough time to get a shower, take care of my stuff on here (the app is pretty much useless on my phone) and get some sleep.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Well, this weekend wasn't too good. I had two parties yesterday and went chip crazy on Friday. I've been alright for exercise at least. I should have updated the last two days but things were crazy. Sorry about that!

I'm going to post a random weekly challenge today! Because I'm back and so sick of eating out haha.

The challenge for this week is to find a NEW recipe you haven't ever made, and to plan it and make it :) Time for some extra yums! Post a link or a picture of what you make. If you feel so inclined to post calorie and macro info too, feel free! And it can be just one dish of a meal - so if you're making 3 things, it doesn't have to be all three things (unless you want to), just one of them.

For newcomers, these weekly (although not every week) challenges are optional. Just like pretty much everything else haha.

Too bad I didn't see this last night or I would have taken a picture.

This week I made a new chicken taco recipe. One taco is 275-310 calories (depends on how much filling and toppings) and super delicious.

Tonight I am trying grilled pizza. I will be curious how it turns out and how many calories I wind up eating. Based on the recipe info and using 6 servings, I currently have it calculated at 851 calories per serving which is horrifying! I will post pictures and updated info tonight or tomorrow.

The pizza turned out really well! We didn't think to buy toppings, so it's just tomato sauce, cheese and basil. I seriously reduced the amount of oil the recipe called for and was able to eat a decent serving for ~470 calories.
