Hey Slim Team,
So I only lost a pound this week. So that means gotta dig deeper and be more focused for the new week ahead!!! Like Nike says "Just Do It"!!!!!0 -
***ANNOUNCEMENT - Change in Game Rules!!***
Current Rule: If a participant fails to submit their weekly weigh-in they will be marked as 0% loss which will affect not only their own standing but the overall standing of the team. Should they fail to submit 2 weeks in a row they will be eliminated and no longer able to participate in the challenge.
NEW Rule: If a participant fails to submit their weekly weigh-in they will be marked as 0% loss which will affect not only their own standing but the overall standing of the team. After team results are posted for the week the non-submitter will be eliminated from the team and will no longer be able to participate in the challenge. This does not apply to those individuals that have reported their weight as 0% loss.
**********************************************************************************************
As I was looking into future weeks I realized that a non-submitter that decides to submit the next week will be evaluated on their previous weigh-in two weeks prior which makes it unfair to those that are weighing-in weekly. As a result, if you don't weigh-in weekly you will be considered weight that is weighing down the team and you will be eliminated.
I'm sorry for the confusion in having to make the change. Because this is our first month doing the challenge it has been a work in progress. I feel with the new change in rules it will still make everyone accountable while being fair to those that are committed to the challenge.
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

@divaford140 my motto is also "just do it!!!" If I'm looking at a chocolate bunny and want to devour it, though, the motto has to be "just DON'T do it!!" Lol.0

I use the app so I track as I go, you could jot it down on a notepad as you go and enter it later, but some days I plan ahead, most days I fill it in as I go xx0 -
Hey all! I'm back from a busy weekend and ready to make some more progress with you all changed my goal back to losing 2 pounds/week after this weekend (not that I went way overboard or anything, I just had it set to maintenance so I want to make sure I'm at a deficit for this next week)
Congrats, team! I'm so glad everyone stuck with it. Here's to a healthy week for everyone1 -
Yay team! We all submitted our weigh ins. Unfortunately, I didn't lose or gain in the second week... better work on the diet again... it's so hard when I love food!!0

How well I do on any given day seems very directly tied to how well I slept overnight. Last night I did not sleep well. So, today, I will be focusing on spending my day on activities that don't involve the kitchen. I will be working in our home office. Usually, if I can get focused in the office, I can get through the day without so much damage from the cravings I will have due to the lack of sleep.
What are some of the triggers you have found in your weight-loss journeys and how have you learned to cope with them?0 -

You and I are exactly the same @JMarcella57. If I don't get my sleep I feel nauseous in the morning and can't eat breakfast. Breakfast turns to lunch which is usually something quick. We all know those "quick" convenient lunches mean high fat, salt, sugar and carbs. By dinner time I'm starving and gorge myself and continue snacking until bedtime. Of course it's all "quick" as well. BRUTAL! I also find because I'm overtired I don't have the energy to exercise which creates the double whammy. No sleep + Poor nutrition + Lack of exercise = Weight gain!!
Sleep is critical for my success!! I wish I could offer some tips but I can't. It all boils down to SLEEP. I have tried Meletonin (it's natural) on those nights I can't sleep. It does help a bit and doesn't leave you feeling groggy the next day.1 -

Not getting enough sleep is for sure one of mine. Also, if I start snacking (especially on processed foods or sugary treats), sometimes it's like I can't stop and I go way overboard and feel too sluggish to workout. Going to events with lots of yummy food available is also a problem for me (my reasoning is that, if it's free and delicious, why don't I just eat as much as I possibly can, lol).
I have become very strict about my sleeping schedule after having a sleeping problem a few years ago. I wake up at 6:30 am for work, so I must be in bed at 11:30 pm at the latest. This means being mindful of all the tasks I need to complete for the night after work, but also being flexible enough to save some chores for the next day.
As for the mindless snacking, I'm trying out this habit where I do a 12 second stretch before each meal or serving of a snack. So, in theory, I would have to stop eating whatever snack I'm having after having a serving size amount and stretch. This would give me time to contemplate if I really want to continue eating it, and also give me a sense of how many servings/ calories I'm consuming of snack food. So far, it hasn't been working out like that since I haven't been too strict about it. But, I'm gonna try to implement it cause I really need to make a change if I want to see long-lasting results !
With events I'm not so bad anymore because I usually try to have a high protein snack before going (usually cottage cheese) so that I'm not so hungry that I'll eat everything in sight. I'll also try to keep in mind how many calories I can consume, and visualize what that would look like while filling up my plate.1 -
Yippee! I survived yesterday on little sleep without messing up on my day's goals! Last night, I slept great. I will remain vigilant today, though it should be a little easier. Today is a busy day of errands. I will be careful to eat at home and have a snack and plenty of water with me so that I do not give into the temptation of fast food while I'm out.
@puglife456 - I like the idea of training yourself to do the stretch before eating. I don't always thing about what I'm about to eat either. I think I may come up with something like that to make me think about it too.1 -
Good Morning Team hope you are all having a good week ☆0

Hello. our group has been quiet this week . good luck everyone as we enter a new week x

I was just looking at all of the groups on the chart. Our group is one of only two groups that has had no one eliminated! That is super awesome. So thrilled that everyone has been willing to log each week no matter what. That's the kind of thing that produces winners long after this challenge is over.2
