say without a doubt I am officially back in the 200's! I'm so super excited about this and it is such a huge motivator knowing how much time and effort I'm putting into getting healthy and it is finally paying off! I would like to meet that 40lbs gone by my 40th bday
Keep up the good work!0 -
I've been at a stand-still for a couple weeks. I began a new medication that has a side effect of weight gain and bloating. I'm not losing, but at least I'm not gaining.1

Starting weight: 367 lbs
last week: ?
Current week: 322.8 lbs
Total loss 45 lbs. I haven't weighed myself in the last 2 weeks because I was on a horrible plateau and I got fed up with it. I finally stepped back on the scale and I've noticed a shift so I'm back2 -
I weigh myself almost daily. If I tried to do so only weekly- or even monthly- as some of you do, I'd feel very anxious and make myself crazy. "Almost daily" seems to work for me right now. I do see some fluctuations, and sometimes I bounce up a lb or two, but I don't worry about that too much. I'm more concerned with my overall trend and bother logging my weight only when I'm SURE that I've actually lost. My scale is not digital, and not terribly accurate. But it does show me my downward trend!
You know, when I started this journey on 4/4/16 I clocked in at 305lbs. This morning the scale said 266lb, for a total of 39lbs down in slightly over 2mos. On my scale, if I shift my weight frontwards or backwards, or side to side, the numbers go either up or down. To compensate, I try to always stand in the exact same position. So today, as I was shifting my body to find that perfect "sweet spot" for reasonable accuracy, I realized that I could not possibly reach 305lb again simply by shifting my weight! I'd have to carry one of my cats in each arm, plus hold a gallon jug of milk in each hand, to make that scale read 305lb. The cats weren't interested, so I danced off the scale instead! Lol
Anyone reading this, pls friend me if you haven't done so already. Can't seem to do so from my end. Have a great week, everyone!5 -
I also weigh in every day but I use an app called MY weight on my phone the reason is I found in the beginning I was losing weight 1 one and then nothing for the the next 2 weeks then I found this app and it has a cool graph on it that shows all the ups and downs and now I can see my trends better I'm also a bit of a tech /gadgety person and very visual I like graphs etc
And I love the love fact that I can see you carrying 2 cats and a jug of milk0 -

290.7 this morning. Finally hit the 50# mark. 51.3 to be exact. This is my lowest weight since 2008. In 2009 I was 319 and tried really hard to lose weight, at 293 I gave up because I plateau ed for a long time. Now that I have beaten that psychological barrier, I feel much stronger mentally. My next mini goal is 285. I'm not sure what is important about that number but I feel it is important. I want to get below 285 as soon as possible!6

The scale has been really nice lately. I've replaced walking each evening with water aerobics twice a week because of the Texas heat. I'm down to the 280s!5

Still not back on the wagon (as you may have noticed from my absence here for the last month or two.)
I weighed myself this morning, as Sunday was my weigh-in day before I got totally derailed.
Current weight: 269
I haven't really gained since I got off track; I stay between 267 and 270. But for the first day in months, I logged all of my meals! A step in the right direction!2 -
@smurphy90 logging is the first step you got this1

Well, I'm back again!
I gained all my weight back + 17 more pounds ending up at 317 lbs as of 1/1/2017 and made a New Year's Resolution to start again but got side-tracked with an eating disorder diagnosis of BED (Binge Eating Disorder) that I think I'm finally starting to get under control (as in no episodes for 3 weeks). I also finally got back into meal tracking again on MFP but only consistently for the last 10 days or so but I think it's becoming a habit again--I hope so as I think it helps me stay on track.
So...
Starting weight (again) as of 1/1/2017: 317 pounds.
Last weigh in on 5/20/2017: 273 pounds (I typically weigh in on Mondays).
