This was my first half since 2001, man so many wild years of partying, traveling and child rearing put my running on the back burner. The nerves were high for me too Jessica. Great job everyone on your season so far!

10 mile trail race a few weekends ago. Finished 5th out of 65 in 1:14 on a challenging course. Very pleased with my performance as I look towards a 10 mile road race this Friday.

Only just discovered this thread so I'll post my last result.
    Sheffield Half Marathon (May 12th) - 2:07.

Beat my last time by 6 minutes, woot! Now to aim for a sub 2:05, which I think I'll achieve if I fuel mid-race next time.

Good job beating your PR. Fueling likely won't make much difference, but continuing to run consistently between races surely will!

Thanks! You're probably right about the fuelling, but it took me 12 minutes to run mile 12, unlike the 9.5 minutes to run most of the other miles, my energy just disappeared completely and I reckon a bit of sugar would have helped a lot. But I intend to train more for my September run!

My local running group did a "prediction run" last night -- you predict your time on our 6.39-mile loop and the person who gets closest to their prediction wins. Doesn't matter if you are fast or slow, accuracy is what counts. Oh, and you don't get to wear a watch or GPS.

Anyways, I predicted 43:00 and ended up running 42:55, just 5 seconds off -- so I won! It was also a PR for me on our training loop by 30 seconds.

    Awesome job!

On Friday evening I ran just under 64 minutes for the Blessing of the Fleet, a 10 mile road race. I'm very pleased with the results. You can read about it here:

Slow(er) runner here. Just ran a 5k in 32:54. My 5k PR is a little over 26 minutes. After running my first half marathon (in 2:02) 2 years ago, I jumped into marathon training, got hurt and switched to run/walk, and have slowed down considerably. Finally trying to build myself back into running without walk breaks again. That and losing the 20+ lbs. I have gained back should help me speed up again.

Ran my first HM in May in Providence, RI - 2:04

    Last 5k was 24:10

Haven't ran a race in a few months. Running a 11.6 M (I know, weird distance) on Saturday. Interested in seeing how much I improved!
