Hi
It was 68 Degrees This morning a not much of a change from yesterday. It was still comfortable with a increase in the humidity. I walked 7,500 steps so far and no Cents.
I suppose that most of You have heard of the IED explosion at the NJ shore along the route of the Semper Five Run that luckily caused no injuries due to a delayed start so it only hurt the Garbage Can.
Then This one
NEW YORK — Authorities here found and on early Sunday removed an explosive device — reportedly a pressure cooker — near the site of a Saturday night blast that injured more than two dozen people in the Chelsea neighborhood.
At a news conference before the discovery of a second device, Mayor Bill de Blasio said the explosion injured at least 29 people but that there was no specific terrorist threat.
A device believed to be a pressure cooker was subsequently found on West 27th Street, four blocks from the initial blast on West 23rd, according to New York Police Department. The NYPD tweeted at about 2:24 a.m. ET Sunday that, "The suspicious device on West 27 Street in Chelsea has been safely removed by the NYPD Bomb Squad."
Saying no Specific Terrorist Threat just mean to me that they had no threat it would happen not that it is not a terrorist action. The Pressure Cooker reminds me of the Boston marathon explosions sadly.
I will be curious to see what Our Presidential candidates say about it.
Have a Safe Sunday

Hi
It was 75 Degrees This morning warmer than yesterday. It was semi comfortable with a increase in the humidity. I walked 7,400 steps on the nose right now and Two Cents.
I got rained on for about 10 minutes this morning while walking, However having heard the weather forecast and seeing that there had been a light rain before I got up I took Umbrellas with me. I strap the Medium size one to my Backpack which I used as a carrier to free my hands until I needed it and a smaller folding one in a pocket, just in case. I did get a little damp while removing the backpack and deploying the Umbrella. It started as I was heading up the street for my Morning coffee and then stopped after I cam out from getting the coffee.
I suppose that most of You have heard of the IED explosion at the Elizabeth Train Station Overnight? The Explosion was triggered by a Bomb disposal robot when it clipped a wire attempting to disarm one of the 5 devices.
From Here:
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/20/nyregion/pipe-bombs-found-near-train-station-in-elizabeth-nj-official-says.htmlELIZABETH, N.J. — The bomb drama rattling the New York region arrived here Sunday night when two men walked out of Hector’s Place Restaurant near the city’s train station and found a backpack containing five explosives resting atop a municipal garbage can, Mayor J. Christian Bollwage said.
After finding that the backpack contained “wires and a pipe,” the mayor said, the men dropped the item in the street and contacted the Elizabeth Police Department around 8:45 p.m. The police, in turn, called the Union County bomb squad, and the investigation was quickly turned over to the F.B.I. and the New Jersey State Police, Mr. Bollwage said.
The F.B.I. then sent in a pair of robots and determined that the backpack held five bombs, some of which were pipe bombs, the mayor said.
Around 12:30 a.m., the robots tried to clip a wire to disarm one bomb and accidentally detonated it, the mayor said.
“As a robot was trying to disarm one of the devices, it exploded,” he said. No injuries were reported.
The mayor said around 3 a.m. Monday that one robot was destroyed and another had a mechanical arm blown off.
Have a Safe Monday

Hi
It was 68 Degrees This morning a nice change from yesterday. It was still comfortable with a increase in the humidity. I have walked 8.4K steps so far and no Cents.
The Sunchokes have finally started to bloom, It is about time, the tallest ones are higher than the Gutters on the house
They seem to have caught the Bomber and on the Plus side they also found more explosive devices in the house that the capture had prevented being set.
Have a Good Tuesday

Hi
It was 68 Degrees This morning no change from yesterday. It was still comfortable walking despite no appreciable decrease in the humidity. I have walked 8,222 steps so far and once again no Cents.
I stopped at the grocery store and picked up some fruits, Then Clumsy me dropped one of the bananas on the floor, Naturally it was the greenest one that needs to ripen
I also picked up a 4 ounce 4 slice of Cooked ham lunch meat at 35 calories per slice and 390 sodium to use as a protein. So I will most likely pair it at 1 slice of ham and a slice of Velveeta at 40 calorie a slice on a 60 calorie Wrap or 1/2slice of wrap or as my brother calls it a wish sandwich because You wish it had some meat and cheese in it.
The Humidity is supposed to drop throughout the day, Today through Friday out high is forecast to be in the 80s above normal for this time of year.
Have a Good Wednesday

Hi
It was 65 Degrees This morning a small change from yesterday. It was comfortable walking with a decrease in the humidity. I have walked 9,870 steps so far and once again no Cents.
I Got Lucky today, fate saved me from myself Since my plan for the day was to stop at the dollar store for a quart or two of 1% Milk, Good until August 15, 2017 and 50 calories for the 4 ounces I put on my cold cereal I ended up buying two quarts. I also bought 4 assorted flavors of Hot Pockets that I will use for lunches. Then I walked over to the Bank and deposited a small check. Sinc ethe opening times were 8Am and 8:30 AM I walked up to the Diner for breakfast to kill time which explains the Lucky part as I asked for a slice of Carrot Cake to go when I finished my Two Eggs and Fruit bowl that I selected in place of the Home Fries and part of the Whole Wheat Toast with a smear of butter. The lucky part is that they were out of Carrot Cake, Saved from myself

Hi
It was 60 Degrees This morning a 5 degree change from yesterday. It was comfortable walking, I did wear a light long sleeve shirt and light gloves. I have walked 8,686 steps so far and once again no Cents. Now that I am back I am having a Chocolate NS Protein Shake, later I will have the remaining 1/3 of the Banana I ate before going out to walk. I will follow that up with either the NS Frozen Baked Blueberry Oatmeal or 2 of the Dollar Store Blueberry Waffles. I do have one more Delicious NS Frozen Cinnamon Roll that I plan to have on Sunday Morning and then I will most likely switch back to assorted Cold Cereals for Breakfast until I use up that Quart of Dollar Store milk which takes a few days at 4 ounces per day for the cereal
Yesterday eating what I did at the Diner seems to have worked as my weight this morning was the same. I am still getting Raspberries from the late season plants which means that planting two types one earlier and one late fruiting type worked After picking the ripe ones this morning and some Climbing Green Beans I turned on the Soaker Hoses in the garden as it looked as if it were due to be watered.

Hi
It was 66 Degrees This morning a large change from yesterday. It was comfortable walking despite a increase in the humidity. I have walked 8,361 steps so far and once again no Cents. I did see a penny however it was stuck into the driveway and did not pick up when I tried
It rained overnight and the rain was finished earlier than the originally forecast time so it was OK to walk although I did take a small folding umbrella along in my back pocket, just in case.
Tomorrow is Grocery Store day for Bananas and Apples or Apples and Nectarines or Plums or all three to last until Sunday morning ainxe it is 10% senior discount day. With the advertised price per pound the bananas will be 26 cents a pound, Hard to beat that price unless they look really poor
I ended up unhappy yesterday, It appears that the Walking Appetites AKA Deer have discovered the Three Columnar Apple Trees in the back Yard. The first two pictures show the damage and the third picture shows the wire cages I ended up putting around them to protect them. Hopefully
Have a Good Tuesday

Hi
It was 55 Degrees This morning a large change from yesterday. It was still comfortable walking since I added a layer second layer of long sleeve shirt and Gloves. I have walked 8,080 steps so far and 10 Cents. It is now time to change to long pants for my walks, especially since some dummy, me, spilled coffee on his hiking shorts.
I stopped at the Grocery Store day for Bananas, Green Pears and Nectarines. Since it is 10% senior discount day. With the advertised price per pound the bananas will be 26 cents a pound, Hard to beat that price so I picked up enough to last me to next Wednesday and they are already in the refrigerator along with a couple of Pears and Nectarines. I still have a Apple from earlier and three days worth of Grapes that my brother picked up for me on a whim yesterday. He also brought home some Blackberries that are already eaten with my DInner as the SC as They usually last the shortest time. The Grapes were two servings of Large Green and tow servings of Large Red Grapes.
Later I will go over my upcoming NS order as Thursday 6PM is the latest I can make changes.

It was 68 Degrees This morning a large change from yesterday. It was still comfortable walking however. I have walked 7.4K steps so far and 0 Cents. I have changed to long pants for my walks, So of course it warmed up
I geared up in rain gear since the weather map showed rain over my area with more coming in from the west so of course I did not need it as it only drizzled a little bit.
While walking I also picked up a bunch of Black Walnuts off of the street as I had a Plastic bag just in case the weather forecast was wrong. I had noticed them the other day when I had nothing to put them in
Later I will go over my upcoming NS order as today at 6PM is the latest I can make changes.

It was 58 Degrees This morning a largish change from yesterday. It was still comfortable walking however. I have walked 9K steps so far and 0 Cents. I took a chance and only took a folding umbrella along as there is rain in the weather forecast and the weather radar showed showed rain to the west. I did not need (use) it as it only drizzled a little bit on the final 1/3 of my walk.
I lookws at my email and I see the confirmation email for my upcoming NS order.
No tracking or indication that it has shipped, I sort of would like it not to come until next week to let me free up a bit more space in the basement freezer

Hi
It was 58 Degrees this morning no change from yesterday. It was comfortable walking however. I only walked 5617 steps so far and One Shiny Quarter that was laying there. I took a folding umbrella along as there a chance of drizzle in the weather forecast. The day is dreary looking once again and it was misting. My Step count is low today as I gad a Bad Night, Yesterday I was well over my goal of 10K steps and the average for these two days will be over my goal so that is OK.
Despite not eating or drinking anything in common beyond Bottles of water Both my brother and I had rough nights with some of sort of stomach flux Quite likely we caught what I hope is a 24 hour stomach bug. We were both in the same places Yesterday, a close by sporting goods store is having a closing sale and it was jammed with cars circling the parking lot looking for a place to park, we got lucky as we turned in a car pulled out and we grabbed that spot. The checkout line was over a hour in length. Then on to the produce store for a couple of things my brother needed. I ended up with a lifetime guarantee Backpack at 20% off as my cheapo $10 one is going bad, rip in the bottom and and I had to repair the shoulder straps twice. Since it was by way of being a experiment to see if I would use one I think I got my moneys worth out of it.
I looked at my email and I see no tracking number for my upcoming NS order this morning.
FWIW It appears that the New Motor fuel tax increase will pass this time taking up from one of the lowest taxes to one of the highest

I also picked a few more Raspberries that had turned ripe and delicious
I looked at my email and I still see no tracking number for my upcoming NS order this morning, I can not decide if that is good or bad as it gives me another day to use more frozen food and make room in the freezer, I overstocked at the Acme when it was on sale.

I got out twice more yesterday, I caught a ride to the bank with my brother who was going on from there so I walked back home and then I noticed I had missed paying a Credit Card bill that was due the 8th so I wrote that out and walked to the Post office.
Already from Sunday to Today I am at 44,376 steps
I stopped at the Grocery Store on my walk and Picked up 4 Bananas, 2 Honey Crisp Apples, 2 Green Pear, 2 nectarines, 3 Red Delicious and for my Brother 3 Large Poblano Peppers and 3 small Jalap peppers.
I looked at my email and I see a tracking number for my upcoming NS order this morning, that is the good and since it shows Shipment information sent to FedEx Chambersburg, PA Anticipated ship date: Wed 10/05/2016 CHAMBERSBURG, PA US That indicates I should see something Tomorrow. Yesterday I received my Frozen Delivery and according to the tracking number I should receive the Shelf stable portion of my order today via the USPS. It seems that FedEx has handed it off to the Post Office. I suspect that is due to it being under 8 pounds as that is a first for my regular NS food Deliveries. I say regular food as I have had Missing items come that way in the past.

It was 64 Degrees this morning a change to the warmer from yesterdays temperature. It was comfortable walking despite the light rain. I have walked 7,707 steps today. Yesterday I ended up some what over 11K steps.
I expect to have a decent step count today as my brother & I are going to a Historical event later on today. The details are:Weekend Journey at the Van Horne House 2016
FREE*****October 8 from 10-5pm and October 9th from 12-5pm*****FREE
Each year The Heritage Trail Association (HTA) along with the Middlebrook Theatrical Society (MTS) fills the house with an event that took place in the house during the revolutionary war.
This year we are celebrating the wedding of Mary Van Horne to Colonel Stephen Moylan of the Moylan Dragoons. Col. Moylan also served as Aide-de-Camp to General Washington, (who may visit over the weekend).
Guided tours with groups of 8 or 10 and lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes will have you participating in the following activities:
Learn about relationships and wooing in the 18th century
Dance the popular dance, ‘Come Haste to the Wedding’ with live music –we will teach you! THE place to practice your wooing skills just learned!
Learn about wedding rites and rituals from our magistrate, John Jacob Faisch
The Reception of course, with punch from an 18th century recipe, cookies and be prepared to ‘Toast the happy couple’ (this house is not known as Convivial Hill for nothing!)
Horse races to celebrate the happy couple will occur with prizes to the winners As always, we have lots to do and treats for the kids. Come dressed in period clothes, or modern day duds, but DO NOT miss this party, one of a great many thrown by Phillip Van Horne and his wife, Elizabeth as they celebrate the marriage of their eldest daughter to an Irish officer of the Revolution.
And yes, this actually did occur in this house September 12th, 1778!
Yesterday I received the Shelf stable AKA Ready to Go portion of my order via USPS. FedEx handed it off to the Post Office. I suspect that is due to it being under 8 pounds as that is a first for my regular NS food Deliveries. I say regular food as I have had Missing items come that way in the past.

It was 43 Degrees this morning a change for the colder from yesterdays temperature. It was So-So for comfort walking, I tried out the Electric Hand warmer today. It worked OK, It would have done a better job if I had used mittens so it could nestle down by the fingers rather than the gloves I wore. I walked 8,065 steps today. I ended up turning on the heat as the house is cold this morning, the Living Room is at 60 degrees
Later today We will be going out back and bagging up plant materials from the parts of the garden that have gone by earlier and pulling some more that have reached the end of the line. What is left that is still growing are the Eggplants although what is on them is likely to be all there is. The Beets and Sweet potatoes which are most likely done growing too as the leaves are starting to turn. The Tomatoes seem to be finished too.

Hi
It was in the 50s this morning a change to the warmer from yesterdays temperature. I won't be walking today. long story for another day so I'm siting here drinking my coffee made with a store bought blend of Decaf & Regular coffee. The rest of today's coffee is in a Thermos Bottle From my Brother. Since I had added that to the unused portion of the previous can of coffee I'm going to call it 1/4 Decaf and 3/4 Regular Coffee. For ease of use when I open a can I pour it into the Big can I use to hold it.
Today is not all that bright out and as it approaches 8AM the front porch is only running 53 degrees.
