I do my best to not ever focus on ketosis or fat adaptation. I just try to focus on what I put in my mouth, and keep my carbs as low as possible, the rest will naturally fall into line.

    That is BRILLIANT!

Ugh I cant wait till my urine stops smelling so strongly. It turns ME off lol

You might want to look into certain botanicals that are said to be effective against porcoketourinickia. I can't remember them all, but I believe the list did include established aromatics like nepeta cataria and asparagus officinalis.

Thanks @RalfLott I'll look for them cuz it's a total bummer for me

@genmon00, Did you ever try these? :D

    Nice profile pic, BTW.

I am a carb addict. I love Carbs. If I eat a few then I want a few more and more and then the calories go up along with the glucose. It's like I'm starving ...it's crazy :(

    >Not even a piece of bread or two every day for a little while is going to do it.

This can be a slippery slope for some. While I think it's good to not stress out over single-digit grams of carbs over one's desired cap, the reassurance of "nah, it's cool, you're fat adapted so you're still better off than those sugar-burning plebes" might encourage too much slack.

Therein lies the rub, all right.

    As Dr. Bernstein puts it,
the human condition is not such that "occasional" cheats remain occasional and not frequent.

If you properly view bread and pie as Dcon and Drano, it doesn't make much sense to nibble on them, even occssionally.

Its a process getting adapted, that's for sure. It took me six months for my body to stop overproducing ketones and\or expelling all the leftovers in my breath. Thank god my husband really loves me, I didn't think the bad breath would ever go away, then finally, it miraculously stopped :)

Well that gives me a bit of hope. Mine is rank

SOOO I can't smell. Like not at all. Haven't been able to for a long time. I asked my kids just now how my breath smells. My daughter just fell over on the bed like a dead animal and my 6 year old son told me I smell like a big fart. :( Oh man... who knew! Does gum help? LOL!!
