Another productive day in the health department. Woohoo!!

@bbinoa You may not be able to buckle down in some areas, but you seem like you've got the weight lifting thing all together. I'd much rather see some changes with my body any day verses a number on the scale. Since I'm too afraid to start heavy lifting, I have to check the scale for now.

We're cruising to the Bahamas. It should be a ton of fun. Several of them use MFP, and they were concerned with losing their login streaks. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Yea, gotta keep those logging streaks going! Remembering how I made my hubby bring me my phone keeps the hospital so I could log in, even though I hadn't eaten. Lol. Crazy.

@bbinoa Yes, I remember that about you. Ha, ha, ha. I actually told them to get their husbands to log in for them. I don't think some of them want to rely on their husbands. Ha, ha, ha. I think I'll just use the Internet on the ship to log for everyone.

Logged! And by some weird coincidence I ended up using exactly my calories, so I finished the day at 0. Doesn't happen often.

@Laughter_Girl, yes you logging for your friends is probably the best. Lol. I can't imagine that's top of the husbands list.
How's your running going? I started doing a few jogging breaks in my walks. I had hoped my foot surgery would result in bionic foot strength and I'd be fast. Nope. Still slogging along!!!

It was a long day. I was at a training, and I sat all day. Plus, I sat for over 3 hours in the car traveling to and from. I'm tired and going to bed.

@bbinoa The running is not terrible, but I'm just getting started really for my half. I was scheduled to run today, but I couldn't fit that in my schedule. One day at a time. I've come to the conclusion though that I'll never run fast. It's not that my body is not physically able, but I'm just not interested in pushing myself that hard. I'll slog on with you. Ha, ha, ha, ha.

I'm currently having mixed feelings about running. I have a girlfriend that is battling cancer (We're currently praying for a miracle because there is nothing more the doctor's can do for her.), and she and I have ran several races together. I was the one that got her interested in racing to begin with. Her goal was to complete a 5k in every state. I plan to do that in her honor should she not make it. So, because of her, I'll be running for awhile.

8/23-25/16 - green, no gym - I have not had time for it this month and I hate that.
Fitibit step totals have been great though:
Tuesday: 18499 (I am training a total stranger and I was stressed to the max. Have I mentioned that I have high functioning autism. My boss is trying to stretch me, but I think it's torture.)
Wednesday: 13046 (went to church to deal with the stress instead of walking more after work)
Thursday: 10257 (I didn't take a morning or an afternoon break yesterday and I was in the doctor's office until 5:30.)

News on the passing out kid: we're going to treat for acid reflux for 30 days and see if it works. We're going to schedule a trip the GI specialist for after the ACT exam because his esophagus can be stretched to stop this, but we have to put him under and I don't want him fuzzy headed at all for that.

After him, they squeezed daughter in, she has bronchitis. :(

This makes me sad. I'm praying for your friend and you.

8/26 - green, no gym. I couldn't stand to be around people anymore today.
Steps: 10812 and counting, but I am about to give up for the day. I am tired.

@MelissaPhippsFeagins You are kicking butt with the steps. I'm jealous. Thanks for sharing about your autism. I have a 4 year old nephew that has autism, and I love him to pieces. He's super smart, and he is getting therapy to work on his social skills. I can't imagine how you manage the stress so well.

That's good news about your son. Hopefully, the meds will do the trick. Sorry about your daughter. That sucks. I pray she's feeling better soon.

Thanks for the prayers. I visited her today, and she is declining quickly. I tried not to cry, but it got hard once her husband started to cry. It doesn't help that I'm a cry baby anyway. Life is just tough sometimes.

@Laughter_Girl one thing that helps deal with the stress of a stranger in my personal space (and I mean that literally, our cubicles at work are 6x6 she can't help it, but she's right on top of me) is walking. I've been taking the trainee with me on my walks on break. She's not right on top of me when we walk and I can breathe. I still couldn't have gone anywhere there were people who aren't my family yesterday. My mind was shaking. (I don't know how else to describe that, but your nephew would understand.) I wanted to go to a Christian concert at the Appalachian Fair, but I knew it would be too crowded for me.
The biggest things your nephew will learn in his therapy and as he grows up are the answers to the questions: What are your stressors? and How can you handle them, because there won't always be someone to help you?
For me, weight lifting is a coping mechanism but because I haven't had time for it, I finally just had to back out of society. I sat on my bed listening to our high school football team get beaten until I fell asleep.
Weights help because you have to concentrate on your body mechanics and nothing else to do them correctly. After a period of sensory overload, I can't tell where I end and everything else starts. My son with autism used to lie down on the floor, have his sister put the couch cushions on him and lie down on them because that definite pressure helped. At school, they let him go to the auditorium stage and roll himself up in the heavy curtain. I'm 47 and don't let it get that far often, but I do sleep under a huge heavy crocheted blanket when I'm really in distress. He has one too. You might tell the nephew's parents that this is a trick to try if they can see a meltdown coming on.

It don't mind sharing the tricks I have learned. Another thing that calms me is repetitive motion. I wash dishes by hand to make it useful. Pick up, wipe, rinse, stack. Do it again. I wouldn't have a four year old wash dishes, but maybe matching socks or folding towels.

8/27 - green, gym, 12,.000+ steps. And I did a set of 8 squats at my husband's warm up weight of 135 pounds. Personal record, but I did the other 4 sets at 95 as planned. My daughter is heavy. (She weighs 137, but I could pick her up if I had to.)

@MelissaPhippsFeagins Congratulations on your PR. That's always worth talking about.

Sadly today, my good friend Tammy passed away this afternoon. I am thankful to God for allowing me to know such a wonderful person, and I look forward to running at least a 5K in every state in her honor. Even in death, she is holding me accountable to my health. At 47, she was much too young to go, but I guess her work here on this earth was done. I'm sad but not deflated. God is still in control!!

@Laughter_Girl I am sorry for your loss. Can I tag along when you run in AK and HI? I'd like to visit both of them.

@MelissaPhippsFeagins I'll certainly let you know. My hubby told me today that I'll need to start planning my schedule for runs. I reminded him it'll probably take about 3 years. Along with other vacations, I'll have to squeeze in some of these runs. I know I can rule out Michigan (obviously), Ohio, Florida, and Missouri, but I'll have to check with Tammy's husband to make sure I'm not missing any states.
