@KAR328 - It just makes my heart smile to hear about how much you're enjoying your active lifestyle.
@CLEPANT - Sounds like maybe you should incorporate a new policy that while you're waiting for parent pick-ups, the student should have to run laps with you until they arrive. lol That would make the kids make sure their parents weren't late...
I got a quick 4.0 stationary bike ride in this morning after my weight circuit at the gym. First time in almost two weeks because of vacation and a lingering cold and...well...it's just been difficult to get there. I've been exercising elsewhere though.

I've haven't been here a few days, and I just wanted to let everyone know how much I have missed reading about everyone's day, good news, sad news ( @vhuber ), and challenges. We are such a great community!
I continue to move. I went spinning yesterday. I didn't do too badly for a slightly damaged version of myself, but better than I have in quite some time1 -

Thanks. It both amazes and amuses me when I think about it. Walking outside is the cheapest form of therapy, especially now with the weather so beautiful. Did 4.5 miles today, scared a tiny lizard and tried to get a pic of an egret at the edge of the lake, but he was faster than me so I got one of him flying across it instead.

@K80FLEC - LOL!!! I totally didn't mean that!! I just meant that I was getting out for walks and hikes and bike rides at home even though I hadn't been to the gym, I swear...
@SPIKESMOM - Love having you back and very happy to see how much progress you've made in your recovery! It's nothing short of a miracle how your body is healing and allowing you to resume the things you love to do.
@CPANUS - Very happy to see you enjoying yourself (the exercise and grandbaby) so much too!!
I got to the gym again this morning (after a VERY close call with rolling over and going back to sleep!!!) and got another 6.1 miles in on the exercise bike. At this rate, I should get some bonus miles this month! And since I still need to get 10 more gym visits in by the end of the month to get my $20 discount on the gym fee from my medical insurance, it's looking pretty good!

@Dave: Loved your suggestion about the kids running with me till their parents showed up. It's funny but my boss told me that I have to stay until someone shows up and suddenly they go next door to middle school and are one grade older and they are left waiting alone until someone comes. I personally don't think coaches should leave any kid alone due the crazy people out there but it just amazing how suddenly they go from supervision to none.
Oct. 14: Adding 10.25 miles today of walking and jogging
TTD: 179.37 miles
