    2 mile treadmill walking uphill for a metabolic efficiency test. This should give me info on when and how my body burns fat versus carbs. It involved no food for 12 hours and walking on a treadmill with my nose clipped closed and breathing in and out of a tube strapped to a headpiece. The speed and incline were periodically increased. The 2 miles is an underestimate but it's fine. The nose clip was sending shooting pains into my brain, and the lack of caffeine didn't help. I followed this by a trip to the State Fair and ate some freshly made ice cream, deep fried Oreos and a bacon s'more on a stick. Now waiting for the caffeine and headache meds to kick in. Seeing my dietician on Monday to go over the results and see what changes need to be made as far as exercise and calories/macros. It's time for a fresh start.

    Oct. 19: 10.25 miles of walking, jogging and cycling
    Oct. 20: 10.5 miles of cycling 3 miles, 3 running and 4.5 walking
    TTD: 247.5 miles

    Quick 1.5 mile walk around the lake. Hadn't planned on going out, but walking to my mailbox made me realize it was nice out (about to rain) and I should just go and get the rest of my steps in.

    Not yet up to capacity on running, but I am helping with marshalling my running clubs' annual 5 mile race.
