    @anaconda469: Liking your photo.....lots.
    Dec.23: 11.5 miles of lots of walking and running today. Finally off for a week's break. Stayed at work another couple hours to get my office cleaned up and my bulletin board done so I would not have to come in and look at it. Also feel like I am coming up for air after over a week of dealing with my dad's hand blowing up like a giant mitten. God bless my hubby for running him for tests and lots of doctor appointments. For a while it looked like they might do surgery on it to clean it out but now it looks like there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

    @anaconda - beautiful photo!
    @clepant - glad dad is doing better and your work is done. It's so wonderful you can enjoy this Christmas together.
    @Dave - thanks! Nothing for me to do here.

    As for me, I'm having a really wonderful Christmas Eve. Made pies with the little girl who lives across the street. Visited with my neighbors. Now I'm about to go out for our family's new tradition - the Christmas Eve mini-golf tournament (what can I say we needed a new tradition after we moved to Florida!).

    Merry Christmas to all. This year I am praying for peace where there is strife and understanding where there is discord. And health to all! xoxo

    @Dean: They finally determined that he has gout as his auric acid level was 11 and the range is 3 to 5. The infection issue has been ruled out as his white count is good now. I am going to look at his first blood work and compare them to the last to see if there was an elevated white count.They keep asking if something bit him. His fingers were turning purple and his hand looked like a boxing glove. The worst was his index finger and it still has lots of swelling yet.He is getting mobility back in his fingers and elbow. We go back to the orthopedic doc again on Tuesday. A week before this he had some abcess on his gum and it was not tooth related. The dentist said it was big and he drained it twice but very odd. So I am not sure what caused all this. I am just grateful that there is no surgery needed at this point.

    Wishing all those that celebrate, a very Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!
