Hey everyone! Happy New Year!
This is the month to month challenge that I do in my other group, that I thought I would bring here to see if you guys like it too. Usually the challenges run all month, every month, but due to the New Year, this one will start January 2nd. The idea is to have ten daily goals, and each goal you achieve, you get a point. If you make a certain number of points in a month, you reward yourself to something. Some people use the same ten goals daily, some have a few changing ones (like I do). My goals are:
1. Log all food
2. Stay under calorie goal
3. At least 135 grams of protein
4. Minimum three servings fruits and vegetables
5. Log all carbs and insulin into glucometer
6. Drink at least 6 liters of water

The blank ones are my changeable goals, usually mine involve exercise, chores and errands that I need to get done.
I have seen others include making contact with friends, walking dogs, playing with pets, meditation, journaling, prayer, time with children, almost anything you can think of.
Up until now, most people try for 200 points on a 30 day month, and 210 points on a 31 day month.
I will be back January 2nd to post goals for that day, and decide what my reward will be if I make points. I hope to see many of you then!

Sounds like fun. I do something similar to this in my daily planner...would be fun to see how many points I can actually rack up.0

I am in for this, i could use some daily reminders. So trying for 200 points this month and i will buy myself a new pair of jeans from someplave fancier then walmart. So for January 2nd my goals are:
1. Log all food
2. Hit my protein goal
3. Stay under my sodium
4. Drink at least 3 of my water bottles worth of water
5. Spend at least 20 minutes doing physical activity
6. Go to bed before 11:00 pm (with no electronics)
7. Get my son out of the house with me for at least 30 minutes not part of my 20 minute activity
8. Spend an hour working on my blanket
9. Work on the budget
10. Plan a healthy menu for the rest of the week

I earned 3 points today, but tomorrow is a new day
trying for 200 points this month and i will buy myself a new pair of jeans from someplace fancier then walmart. So for January 3rd my goals are:
1. Log all food
2. Hit my protein goal
3. Stay under my sodium
4. Drink at least 3 of my water bottles worth of water
5. Spend at least 20 minutes doing physical activity
6. Go to bed before 11:00 pm (with no electronics)
7. Get my son out of the house with me for at least 30 minutes not part of my 20 minute activity
8. Stay away from the sweets left over from christmas
9. Work on the budget
10. Plan a healthy menu and restauraunt stops for wednesdays day out with all my kids.
Okay doing numbered lists on my tablet is driving me crazy it keeps making up words and changing my numbers lol!!!

I am on holidays from work this week and i am having trouble sticking to my usual routines which included a lot of water that i am not getting. I need to get it back up there0 -

Last two days of holidays.... Yesterday i went bowling with the kids i never bowl with them when we go so it was a bit hard on me. More muscle work then you would think it is.

I actually am looking forward to going bck to work. Because its been -30 here all week i have basically spent my holidays at home and am getting a little cabin fever..

One of my husbands children creates a lot of problems and he was acting up on sunday. It usually has a ripple effect that lasts a few weeks, plus going back to work after time off... OK going to keep track of goals here...I am making them everyday anyway! Will try to keep it up daily but may have to prepost for a day sometimes and catch up!

Mid Month Joiner. We were on holidays for the first week, then the hussle to back to school and etc. Over the holiday gained 5 pounds. So the weigh in after being back I got back into logging. I am for getting simple goals for now. Hoping to reach 50 points by the end of the month. If I do then I will have a mini date with my wife.
