I have a new work schedule...this is my last day at old schedule...which was M - F 7 am to 3 pm Total Grind!
This opportunity opened up for me...since our new girl, who works weekends, QUIT, after three weeks. She did at least give us two weekends notice.
NEW SCHEDULE... (40 hours)
Fri 7am to 8pm
Sat 8am to 8pm
Sun 10am to 6pm
Mon 7am to 2pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday OFF
That is a solid three days off...but I like to look at it as 3 1/2 days OFF. SO EXCITED!
What makes me most proud, is that at 69 I will be doing those two very long days. It is now, more than ever, important for me to continue to put diet on the top of my list of priorities!
Will make every effort to get in here every day and list my menu. It is not SB exact, however it is SB inspired. Lots of fruits and veggies...mostly low fat ...and I have finally landed on a dessert that works...which is not ice cream...Noosa Yogurt. Total Love.

Thanks so much Silver. Ernestine started me off on a great weekend...she ate something today...she gets to eat anything she will eat...but therein lies the rub. She doesn't want anything. But tonight, she had browned lean ground beef, drained. And she drank water. Time to celebrate!0 -

We are back to not eating today...darn that little one...it is so hard for me, you have no idea. I get frustrated and tired. I am trying to get my house in order so that I do not scare the handyman off...he is coming on Tuesday to help fix an assortment of things that have gone wrong and that needed to be fixed when I moved it.
Ok, that's it. Later. Back to my laundry.0 -

Friday, November 24th my precious Ernestine peacefully crossed over the rainbow bridge. The vet came to our home...we were seated on her little sofa and she was secure in my arms, with total love and kindness being our last memory together.0

Oh, Magic, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I am glad her passing was loving and peaceful and that you have many wonderful memories of that sweet, precious girl.1

So very sorry. She was much loved.1 -
Thank you both ...dealing with a broken heart .
New work scheduled: work: Friday - Tuesday
off: Tuesday - Thursday
Today, mani/pedi and just picked up chicken/veggie pho. New place...found it when I had to go to post office. O M G for sure. Had it to-go. So very good. Hit the spot...very fresh veggies...just enough heat in the broth after I added something or other to it. Noodles were not mushy. It was just really good. Will go back again.
Tomorrow birthday lunch(October but was very busy with Little Miss Ernestine) with my best friend since kindergarten. We grew up in so cal. But we both ended up on AZ ... 20 minutes from each other. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
Last night had homemade, blated birthday dinner from my sister. So good. Roast lamb.
Lots of kindness and support all around me. But man, does my heart ache for that little one. I do know I did the right thing at the right time. Rest in Peace my precious.1 -

I've just completed my Halloween-Thanksgiving-birthday weight gain period, so now I'm back on track, trying to get down to the bottom of my range before the holiday parties begin next week. I've learned that if I attack the weight gain quickly, it comes off more easily. Anyway, I'm back to my usual (if boring) routine:
Br: V8 juice, Kellogg's All-Bran Bran Buds, banana, skim milk
Lunch: Mushroom barley soup, big salad, ak mak crackers
Snack: pear/light mozzarella stick
Dinner: mixed green salad, Bolthouse dressing, broiled salmon, broccoli/cauliflower mix, Dave's Killer Thin bread, pistachios2 -
Back on track, too.
Yesterday was a good food day. Also, I know that eating junk makes coping with the loss of LME much more difficult. Staying true to my food choices which nourish my body is the only way to deal.
So no juice made for today. Today is my Tuesday. 8 - 8
Roasting veggies at this very moment.
Deli ham
Zip fizz
turkey and cranberry
roasted veggies
yogurt
tomato soup
tea
TEN stinking pounds to go to get to my goal. Really? Been doing this forever. When I adopted LME (2003), I weighed 240. Today I weigh 140. Time to make a major move. Work tomorrow 10 - 6 Will have time before work to get to Sprouts and gather ingredients to make Joe's Mean Green.
Have a lovely day everyone.0 -
Today's Plan
HB eggs with corn salsa
Boar's Head deli ham with laughing cow roll ups
Green Juice
Herb salad with avocado, pico de gallo, EVOO and lemon
Baked potato and cottage cheese
Sleepy time tea

Magic, how's the new work schedule working out?
I've been kind of off course with my eating, but I will get back to it soon.
If I don't check back in again soon, happy holidays to you and Sabine (and anyone who's lurking).0 -
TWO DAY fast for colonoscopy was survived!
I'm eating today. Not 100% low glycemic, but definitely close!
Happy holidays to you!0 -
Hope everyone is surviving the holidays!0
