I've been gone a while, and pretty much threw health to the wind. I can see, and feel, the difference and it's not good. I need to stop making excuses, and I need to make myself and my health a priority, no matter what life throws at me. I don't have the energy to maintain healthy habits when I'm stressed...but the reason I don't have the energy is because I'm unhealthy! It's a Catch-22! I need to suck it up for a while to get that energy back, and then it will be easier to maintain those habits when bad days happen. I remember on Whole30 it wasn't long before my husband and I felt great! We had so much more energy, and we were happier and more productive because of it. We're not going to do a strict Whole30 again, but we are going back to eating mostly clean and taking daily walks.

I had no idea some of you had been hanging out here for years and months. Some maybe just watching & cheering us on. Some feeling too upset & guilty to post. Some dropping out for awhile and then returning. In my 2 month term now I see the power of a community such as this even in the ups and downs of my battle. But this community definitely has helped me in my battle with the BINGE. Thanks guys!7 -

I've been exhausted/super busy going back to work after maternity leave so I was neglecting to check in. Was going so well until tonight .2 -

The scale at 163.4 in the morning gave the BINGE the voice needed. Hey lets celebrate you got this! Luckly my wife has been more understanding about my request to stop stocking up on chips and ice creame so there was not as much opportunity for me to be totally bad. Maintenance is such a challenge!

Last night was a little indulgent, but I kept it together and I am happy with that.

My post read like a broken record. A few loses to the BINGE on the weekend and victories during the week. It doesn't seem like a long term maintenance plan.2 -

@hillmike56 - I wonder if that isn't an indication that either your maintenance plan is too strict - or that there's an outlying trigger you've yet to address. (HUGS) Consider each day of success to be practice for your life-long strategy.2 -
