I failed at zero Monday. My 2 year old y'all - he is something else right now. DH and I were SO FREAKIN worn out and just .... bleary-eyed by 6:30 pm that I caved and poured a glass of white bc I had an open bottle in fridge. Had one more, then a glass of red. That was it. Had a GREAT food and activity day so there were some wins.

Will try again with the zero. Day at a time. What's frustrating is that I CAN do it I just don't seem to want it enough. argh.

And the morning yoga happened again because my body could rest while I slept instead of processing booze. What a great way to start my day! 3 in a row???

I failed too Ash. Had a stressful afternoon dealing with my MIL's doctors and that beautiful bottle of red wine was staring at me. I caved.
I did manage to exercise and eat well yesterday though, so I consider the overall day a win. I have a feeling I just need to expect days like that, and not beat myself up over it.
That open bottle is just sitting there so I imagine I will partake again tonight.

Weekend wasn't too bad, but I opened a bottle of champagne for mimosas and well, you just can't let champagne sit there... so no zero for me yesterday as it was 2 mimosas for me. Friend who is moving invited me for wine tonight so it's a no tonight too. Maybe tomorrow. Thursday is dinner and theatre and then well, then we're at Friday. Ugh. Next week we'll be at the cabin and so I'm not counting on getting any zeros! But I'll try. I've been eating well, however, cooking from skinnytaste.com and I love that site. Great recipes.

Well....if you guys are all drinking, I might as well go home and finish that bottle of white wine I opened at 2am Sunday morning.... :drinker:

    Had a fabulous weekend.
    Friday-sunset/5 drinks
    Saturday-brewed/7 drinks
    Sunday-crazy awesome hike/6 drinks
    Monday-dinner and a movie/4 drinks

I am not very motivated to abstain from drinking this week....I blame being premenstrual
Gonna get a walk in tonight and we will see what happens!!!

I am having friends over for dinner tonight and am using two recipes from Skinnytaste! Best site ever. Having the spaghetti squash taco boats and avocado shrimp salad. I will post pics...

So I've planned my food log today to include a bottle of wine and still stay within my target cals for the day. I don't know that I will make the deficit I have been trying to hit each day but at least I totally won't kill the day with booze cals. Wine because friends for dinner and cards against humanity! But last night was one more zero and the yoga thing happened again this morning.

I am almost leaning towards starting work an hour later after this week is done so I can continue with the morning yoga. I'm fortunate that my hours are flexible, as long as I'm in the office during core hours of 9-3 I can structure my day around that. Usually I work 6:30 -3:00 because I like to avoid the worst of the traffic and have most of the afternoon/evening free but this morning yoga thing might make me change that... or I suppose I could do it when I get home. Decisions...

Well definitely no zeros this week but going to try to get one in next week - even though I'm at the cabin. Keep up the good work you guys! You're inspiring me!

On a side note, I rarely go over 1200 calories per day, but yet I'm still not losing a pound. I really do think it's the wine. May have to really do something drastic like give it up... Thoughts on this? I keep my diary updated with everything I am eating if anyone wants to offer any advice. I have a very sedentary job (work for myself and in front of computer all day ) but I walk at least 30 minutes 5 - 6 times a week.

Hi gwen, I know when I avoid alcohol and keep calories low I see a drop in the scale or my clothes are fitting better, but with that said I rarely keep to it. Exercise and moderation are what I see as the best combo!

    Monday-4
    Tuesday-0

I have a dentist appt after work and then we are planning a quick walk before dinner. Not sure if bourbon will make it's way into my belly this evening

Kate, you're so right.. I know. Easier said than done, right? Gotta avoid the alcohol! Exercise and moderation I can do. There's always tomorrow right? Thanks for the support! Hope the dentist went well! And bourbon is another fav, btw. :)

    Mon - 0
Tues - big glass of wine and 2 mules
Wed - 3 ciders, 3 glasses of wine

Eric is running his last race - 10 miler - Saturday so he wants to not drink tomorrow or Friday, so I'll probably do that too. I could use drying out after yesterday. Went to my friend's for an impromptu littler gathering. We grilled and drank and the kids played. I was there for like 5 hours, so drank at a relatively responsible pace. It was 70 and sunny and I got sun burned. Yay spring!

Mon 0 and dreadmill and clean eating
Tues 0 and dreadmill and clean eating
Wednesday 2 small glass of red and clean eating.

The stress at work and with Doug's shoulder surgery issue got to me. His surgery is now scheduled 3 days before I leave him for a week to go to DWorld. Work is even more insane than it has been lately.

Congrats on the zero Gary. Especially with one beer left.

I am tired of the rain.

nice to see zeros popping up every where this week.

    Keep on lushing!

Well I drank that bottle of wine last night and am paying for it today. Didn't do my morning yoga and I have a giant headache. Boo. Great motivation to keep tonight a zero though. Also, my man is on call this weekend so he won't be having any bevvies which means it will be easy for me to abstain as well. His mom is supposed to come visit for Easter so we will probably spend the weekend tidying up his house (mostly just dust, we're rarely there) and doing some spring yard clean-up. Dinner last night turned out sooooooooo good - will definitely make those spaghetti squash taco boats again! Even with a 1/3 cup of shredded cheese on top it was still only 350 cals!!

This weekend should be zeroes with my man on call... Got up and did my yoga this morning even though I was feeling unmotivated. I picked a beginner, 30 min vid instead of my usual 50 min vinyasa flow. Felt good when it was done and picked me up for the day.

Short day at work today! Meeting some girlfriends for lunch (I've pre-planned and worked the cals into my day) and then off to check out a new department store that opened up here. Then off to see my kiddo in a little drama production for the end of her spring break day camp. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sipped on 2 oz of Drambuie last night but that's it. Not so bad for a Friday! Having a yard work party today so there will likely be some wine but not too much hopefully... I've planned for a bottle's worth of cals just in case...
