@clepant - I envisaged topiary on a grand, English Country House scale!
@Just_Ceci - that sounds like a Pretty grim ride!!
@anaconda469 - you live in a rarefied atmosphere compared to me. I live 19' above sea level..
Glad you had a good weekend @ Dave.

Still struggling with no air conditioner, of course the part that is broken is not a common repair so we are waiting for the part from the manufacturer before they can fix it. We are having a short break in the heat wave (yes, I'm calling 80F low humidity days cool, it's all how it compares to the almost 90F high humidity days we had last week and coming back late this week). I really hope we can complete the repair before the higher temperatures come back on Thursday.
Added 10.75 miles over the weekend.June total 74.25 miles.
Sure hope your part comes in quickly. We are in the same heat pattern as you. We have had severe afternoon storms with flooding each time and of course the high heat and humidity. This last storm brought some reduced humidity and we may be at 68 tomorrow morning. I may get to do a long run. Enjoy the reprieve.1 -

Enjoyed a nice long walk early yesterday in the cooler morning. It looks like today will be another nice day, maybe tomorrow but then the heat rolls back in. With my air conditioner part I hope.
Added 5 miles for a June total of 79.25 miles.
@clepant I hope you do get a chance to get a long run in before the heat gets back to you.
@dave It sounds like a wonderful weekend. Nice to get a chance to relax and enjoy the family, I don't think any of us do that nearly often enough.2 -

Did another 2 mile beach walk with the dogs in the morning and a 1 mile run in the afternoon to keep my RW streak alive. That puts me at 46/75 so I'm starting to catch up. My husband is returning from the land of fishing next week so I hope to get back to more running when he resumes his dog walking duties.3

Okay, I posted yesterday and even checked to make sure it was here but somehow it is not. So I hit goal yesterday with 13 miles of walking 6, cycling 6 and running 1 mile.
TTD: 253 miles
June 20: Call me crazy but I hate air conditioning. So when the humidity dropped off today so did the air unit. I know we will have it back on but I hope not for a few days or weeks.
Ran 3.5 miles today. It was super fantastic for running. Keeping the streak alive. Don't ask me how, cause some days I am hurting but just had to "run Forest run" today. Also completed 3.5 cycling and 7miles walking.
TTD: 267 miles

Got new expensive Gatorskin tires for the roadbike. It is officially on the road now, and the training has to step up even further. Went to the river parking lot and scrubbed the newness off my tires, then went to the high school parking lot for the rest of the scrubbing and get a bit of climbing. Got a nice wear patch started so now its just getting more work on that bike, especially balance. My neck comes in a close second. You know @darkrider42 Dave, you just keep putting the funnies in your congrats posts, we love 'em!
06/15 - 20.0 miles hamster wheel (not a very good day training wise, had to split the workouts)
06/16 - 20.0 miles hamster wheel (not a very good day training wise, heavy legs & arthritis)
06/17 - 21.0 miles cycling (braved the rain that sort of came, it was hit/miss, but great ride anyway)
06/18 - 21.0 miles cycling (cold & raining yesterday, 82 degrees & sunny today. Go figure)
06/19 - 01.0 miles rest day walk (bought new tires for the roadbike)
06/20 - 02.0 miles walk (walking with the grandkids before cycling)
06/20 - 13.0 miles cycling (yipee, roadbike is officially on the road, now to get used to it again)
Total: 347.0 miles
