Still streaking along or today, I should say more like limping along. Hips are super sore today.
@Dave: I don't think you did anything. Every now and then I post to find it didn't post. I even check to make sure I didn't accidently hit preview instead. Sometimes this page just does not like me.
June 21: Adding 13 miles. Creeped out for a slow and pathetic one mile run today after my longer run yesterday. Also did 7 miles of walking today, cutting lots of grass and pup walks. Worked in the demo gardens for our master gardeners for a couple hours tonight. Finishing with 5 miles of light cycling.
TTD: 280 miles

21st: 7.25 miles, 1.24 TM (D24/R24), 6.01m purposeful walking, Pilates and strength training - MTD 125.27
@clepant and @JTH11706 - *happy dancing* (fully clothed of course) as we streak along.
@anaconda469 - I sense a giddiness from your tyres hitting the road. I too am keeping good thoughts for your ride.
@Dave - where would we be without your wit???
@Time2LoseWeightNOW - not a good time of year for seasonal allergy sufferers, you have my sympathy
ETA - I foolishly agreed to a Plank challenge this month too ...... 3 minutes tomorrow..... is my core strong enough??
That bike has been locked on a turbo since October when our weather turned to crap. And I had over 4000 mi on the tires that came with the bike. So with the new Gatorskins which are my first real road bike tires, I was giddy for a 22 mi ride today!1 -
Well there is good news sort off, I can ride the roadbike about 21 mi before my neck problem starts. But if I do some longer pauses in the ride, I think this will sort itself out.
06/15 - 20.0 miles hamster wheel (not a very good day training wise, had to split the workouts)
06/16 - 20.0 miles hamster wheel (not a very good day training wise, heavy legs & arthritis)
06/17 - 21.0 miles cycling (braved the rain that sort of came, it was hit/miss, but great ride anyway)
06/18 - 21.0 miles cycling (cold & raining yesterday, 82 degrees & sunny today. Go figure)
06/19 - 01.0 miles rest day walk (bought new tires for the roadbike)
06/20 - 02.0 miles walk (walking with the grandkids before cycling)
06/20 - 13.0 miles cycling (yipee, roadbike is officially on the road, now to get used to it again)
06/21 - 03.0 miles walk (we took the grandkids to North valley Peace Trail)
06/21 - 22.0 miles cycling (big ride on the roadbike, my neck crapped out in the final mile)
Total: 372.0 miles

Finally the air conditioner is fixed. And the temperatures are going down to reasonable for the next week too. Oh well. @clepant I'm with you, if it's not too hateful outside, I'd rather keep the windows open and the air off. You should have seen the poor repairman when I asked him to set the thermostat to 80F. I really only wanted to be sure it worked and get the indoor humidity down. On a related note, I HATE shopping at this time of year, I need to keep a jacket or sweater with me to tolerate a store. It's summer people, if I'm wearing clothes appropriate for the outdoor weather 70F is too darn cold. Sorry for the rant, this is a sore point for me.
Anyway, I've added 5.25 miles in the last two days for a June total of 84.5 miles. I wasn't able to get my long walk in yesterday with the repairman here, I think I can fit it in the schedule today though.

Just looking to see where I am. We hit 106 today.. just zaps your energy. AZ is in a excessive heat wave. Hoping to get my last few miles in tonight under the AC.1 -
I am not sure what to do about training the next 4 days. We are going from temps 60/70 degrees to 95/101 degrees. I guess maybe get up with the dawn patrol and ride before breaky. I don't have the option of indoor trainer anymore
06/22 - 21.0 miles cycling (took it easy on myself, took the MTB out, a more comfortable ride)
Total: 393.0 miles

i am with you. Our local supermarket is so cold to the point that I am shriveling. I have to fly through there, especially the dairy section,0 -
The remnants of Cindy are coming so it was yard work all day. Late planting of my cannas, trimming my yews, reducing some of the weight of the limbs of my Forest Pansey Redbud so the branches don't break and finish chopping up the neighbors shrubs that I cut last week. I did get my run in. Not sore today. Also got a couple dog walks in and some cycling.

Glad I got my long walk in yesterday, it's rain, thunderstorms and flash flood watches today. I'll brave a light rain, but lightening is a definite no. We have lightening detectors at the park now after a some people were hit during a soccer tournament a few years ago. Thankfully no major injuries that time, but I'm not taking my chances.
Added 5.25 miles for a June total of 89.75 miles.
@sussexbythesea I'm glad you are getting a break in the temperatures
@anaconda469 I hope the higher temperatures break soon for you too. Good luck with your training under the circumstances.2 -

CONGRATS to @SUSSEXBYTHESEA and @AZSUNDANCER for making GOAL!!! :drinker:
Some brutal heat out there in several parts of the US!! Especially in AZ. I don't know how you all do it! That's why I live in Minnesota. We have a few 90F+ days a year, but rarely does it ever exceed 100F.
