    Life is full of wonderful surprises. I got back from my run today - 5 miles of farleks LOL :lol: - sat down to update and thought to myself "I forgot to update the spreadsheet yesterday!!" :anguished: Then I logged into the thread and saw this:

    Hi all!! Another busy day yesterday and I woke up and sat straight up in bed this morning, "I forgot to update the spreadsheet yesterday!!" :anguished::lol: I figured I will be busy traveling on the bike to see my daughter on Sunday & Monday and may not get to it then either so here I am. I didn't want to leave it all for Janet.

    @sufferlandrian - thanks for the education on tendons. Didn't know that. Sorry you are dealing with smoke.
    @anaconda469 - congratulations on all your milestones, but especially on 6 years clean and sober. That is the best gift you could give yourself.

    I think riding early is way better than later in the day for me. I seem to enjoy it more, less cars and peaceful. Looking forward to tomorrows rest day :):D:):D

    Goal: 250.0 miles

    08/01 - 23.0 miles cycling (when I left this morning to ride, the time began with a 5)
    08/02 - 22.0 miles cycling (when I left this morning to ride, the time began with a 5 again)
    08/03 - 23.0 miles cycling (we hit 110 F today & smoky due to fires, up with the dawn patrol again)
    08/04 - 23.0 miles cycling (we only got to the high 90s today, smoky due to fires, up with the dawn patrol again)
    08/05 - 25.0 miles cycling (left later due to a overnight cool down, was a pleasant ride)
    08/06 - 24.0 miles cycling (left at 0645, very chilly compared to the last 5 days, broke out the long leg tights)

    Total: 140.0 miles

    @Dave, don't worry about missing a few days of updates, we're all adults & understand you have a life to live too! Hope your weekend is lots of fun!!

    Got in a 2.5 mile run/walk after church & later did 6.5 on the ex bike.

    Aug. 6: Adding 12.5 miles today of 4 miles of hill training and 7.5 miles of walking.

    @sufferlandrian - thanks for the information on tendons, lifr is a long learning curve. Sorry you are having to deal with all that smoke.

    This morning when it was still sorta cool I took the furries for a 3 mile run with some walking and later in afternoon I got in 22 from the ex bike.
    @clepant, the insoles arrived!! I'm thinking they will work. The left heel still is not pain free so the insoles felt somewhat irritating but I'm gonna give em a chance!

    @JANET - Oh my gosh!!! That cracked me up big time!! :lol: You are absolutely right...it does work out sometimes. Thanks for covering me yesterday too. :flowerforyou: I had a great time on the road with my sweetheart and the time with my daughter and her fiancee was very nice too! I think she'll be good for a little while now that she got a little fix of home.
