@anaconda: I can just imagine the craziness over the eclipse. I truly feel for you and everyone that lives there.
@Janet: Nice job on your 8 miler and your little race. My MIL was in the senior Olympiads well in to her mid 80's and always medaled in her age division for cycling and other things. She told that all you have to do is outlive people....lol.
August. 12: Adding 13 miles today. Spent three hours getting our demo garde ready. Did a 3 mile run. Hauled mor wood chips and compost for four hours. Walked my fur babies and got a few miles on the bike.
TTD: 150 miles

Like you all, I too have been busy. I sooooo wish my carpenter would get DONE!! He's been here (off & on) for almost 5 months!! At least I can now see the real picture! My husband says probably another 10 days!! Also wanted to let you know that we got a quarter of an inch of rain yesterday evening! Rain makes things so much better. My garden & grass seemed so happy today! LOL
Here is my update: 8 from walking & 15 from ex bike.

Yesterday afternoon, just after I sat down to update the spreadsheet, someone knocked on my door. This morning I woke up and thought, "Oh no! I never went back and did the update!" Sorry everyone!
@anaconda469 - don't you dare leave and miss the eclipse! I'm sure it's all very inconvenient and frustrating, but focus on the bright side - an economic windfall for so many of your neighbors, and a rare, awe-inspiring experience for you. I hope you have a party and your son and all your friends can make it! I think we all could all do with more celebrating and enjoying special experiences in life. Speaking of which, congratulations on making your GOAL!!!!!
@vhuber - I hope your husband is right and it's only 10 more days. And great news about the rain.
@clepant - your MIL was right - all we have to do it keep living! I have a 5k today. Last year I came in 2nd in my division - there were only 4 of us "Old Ladies" lol1 -

Aug. 13: Adding 10.55 miles of hill training for 3.55 and walking for 7 miles
TTD: 160.55 miles
@anacondo: Horray for rain and glad you will take some time to enjoy the elicipse too.
@Janet: Hope you enjoyed your 5K.
@Dean: I feel like when I look at your bike photos the same way I feel when people buy islands and get-away places with beautiful scenery....Jealous! I always wonder if people really appreciate such scenic locations after living there day in and out. I know that I love my inland water lake in northern Michigan but the people there always tell me that they don't see what the big deal is all about. Of course they are happy for us Fudgies who come north in the summer and head south in the winter. They help keep there economy healthy. Anyway...I have enjoy your photos. I will pretend I am there when I trail run tomorrow....minus the bears.1 -

@clepant - I see so many marvelous things up here in Montana. I never surprised when people want to move or summer here. I'm more surprised when they don't. There are a lot more places I've never taken photos of because I was too busy looking around. The winters may be hard here, but the whole west Montana is gorgeous all year round.
@vhuber - That's the bridge half way up the Koocanusa Reservoir just outside Libby Montana.0 -
I'm still walking, although it looks like I have one good day, one or two bad days, one good day......Hey, it's progress anyway. Added 10.75 miles for a total of 38.75 miles this month.
It's not nearly as impressive as Montana, but I'm hoping to sneak some time in at the local nature center later this week. A walk in the woods is a nice calming treat. @sufferlandrian I love the pictures, I would be willing to take on the winters but my asthmatic husband.....well not so much.1 -

@Dave: Love your display. I thought of you today when I saw this tee shirt. I don't know if you snore but it gave me a chuckle. It said, " I don't snore. I'm just dreaming that I am a motorcycle."
Hahaha! That's great! Yes, I do snore....like a big Harley. At least I do when I don't wear my CPAP mask.
