Well this challenge is a challenge with yourself. The challenge is for you to win in the fight against "The Binge". Many of us struggle with binging and a few of us have found that making "The Binge" a person has helped us fight the emotions or urge to binge.

The objective of the challenge is to have more days for you (Me) than the "The Binge".

When you have a day you do not succumb to binge urges or binge give yourself (ME) a point. When you give in to the urge to binge you give 'The Binge" a point. No beating yourself up about it because tomorrow is another day. Honesty with yourself is crucial for it to help you and others.

So we keep score with ourselves the whole month. We encourage each other along the way. Please feel free to share your ups, downs, successes, struggles, etc. You will find you are not alone. See below for format. Feel free to use it or use your own format. This Challenge keeps you mindful of binging and the daily support and accountability helps also.

Check in often. The more you check and share the better you will do for the month. So are you in? You are stronger than “The Binge.” One day at a time.

Current month 2017:
Me (or you can use your user name or real name) - 0
The Binge - 0

I've had a rough couple of weeks. Notwithstanding the excellent advice not to beat oneself up, that today's a new day, one day at a time, etc. -- still it has been too discouraging to post.

Yesterday was hard fought. Waking up this morning feeling better than any day in the past ten reminded me of @hillmike56's recognition of the pain of discipline versus the pain of regret. So very true.

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I've found myself falling back into unhealthy binge eating habits the last couple of months. So this is my way of trying to get back on track and keep myself accountable:

    Me: 2
    Binge: 1
    DBF: 1

@Nevadaden - Remember, the binge LIES... It convinces you that you are miserable and undeserving and should be embarrassed. It doesn't want you to draw strength from your support group.

Sending hugs, my friend. Remember, or at least try to, that the binge is an epic level liar...and that you're better than whatever it tries to tell you. (HUGS)

Great job @Moxie42 & @Nevadaden there is something about the last quarter of the year that makes me start thinking about the start of the next one and New Year Resolutions. You guys are helping me get back in the right frame of mind ... I hope!

Thanks @hillmike56 ! The dental work I had done kinda forced me to break the binge cycle for a week or two, and I think having that under my belt has helped me stay on track since then. I don't want to lose the progress, even if the initial progress wasn't something I really "earned." Good point about it getting to the last quarter of the year though. I'd love to get a good streak before heading into the holidays.

@Nevadaden - great job winning the battle last night!

    @PetitClapotis - 2 weeks is awesome! WTG!

Feels good to be tracking binges again, as I can already see my streak building up.
