November Goal - 165 lbs
I’m making good progress. I’m sure I’ll hit 165 in my moving average by the end of the month.
I set 165 as my goal weight when I was first setting up MFP, but now that I’m there I feel like it would like more of change. I’ve decided to set it to 155 now and see how it goes. To be honest, it’s not the number so much that I’m working toward, but the body shape/size. I think I’ll keep eating in deficit and see where that takes me, but once I hit a point where I’m either really happy with where I am or if I start seeing that losing is starting to have the opposite effect of what I want, I’ll change my approach.
I’m pretty sure at some point it’s going to take recomposition and weight training, not just weight loss to get where I envision, but I’ll wait and see. I can’t commit to a weight training program right now so losing though food is the best for me for now.
@percate – It’s a great feeling when clothes start to loosen up! Enjoy it!
@nic_27_grassisgreener – I’m not sure what’s going on in your life but I hope it works itself out. At least you have this one positive going for you if nothing else.
@glassofroses – Just one thing after another for you it seems! I’m really sorry to hear about all the things you’re going through. Hopefully you get a win soon! Sending you good thoughts through the interweb!
Have a great rest of the week everyone and Happy Thanksgiving to all the Americans!

I’m BAAAAACK!
Welcome newbies!
@mrssunshine78 Nice result so far this month!
@brianneangell08 Glad to see you are able to get back to exercising again. Hope the shoulder heals soon! Well done for hitting goal despite the setbacks you’ve had. Fab achievement!
@sardela Bulking nicely! Nice to have a mix of losers, maintainers and bulkers on this thread now.
@bringbackthejoy How is strong curves going? Would you recommend it now that you’ve been doing it for a while?
@2tall4thisworld You are well and truly living in the fifties now, I am a fair bit behind now. Bloody well done!
@curlygirlusn, @tiinytorii, @KelseyRL, @Go_Deskercise, @percate, @nic_27_grassisgreener You are all killing it this November!
@michumetamorphosis You’re on a roll! Ignore the fat burners though, that is a fad. Exercise is a fat burner, no supplement will burn fat for you.
Bloody hell @glassofroses. Is life going to leave you alone at some point this year?
So despite it being AF/Shark Week/ToM this week I’m doing well. I won’t quite hit 160 this month, but I have had some good gym sessions this week. With life taking over I had been skipping the gym and the lack of exercise resulted in a few physical niggles (knots in shoulder, etc.), but they are mostly gone now. I managed a fair bit of arm/shoulder stuff with my PT yesterday.
Got some new goals for the new year, one of which is getting my tummy down to a point where I can feel really confident in a bikini as we are going on holiday early March (a week in Lanzarote, I’m counting down already).

Maintained this week, never mind! I’ve started a new exercise plan, I’m doing 21 day fix, but aiming for more of a 42 day fix as I can’t exercise every day, I really have no idea what I want to weigh, but like you @KelseyRL I have an image in my head what I’m aiming for.
@glassofroses you’re having such a tough time, sending you lots of love

Ugh. I’m tired and worn out today and didn’t pack a lunch for work. Friday is taco and tater-tots day at the cafeteria. I usually never buy lunch at work but my tired brain got the better of me and convinced me it was a great idea. It comes with a drink, so I HAD to get an iced tea even though I generally don’t drink any liquids with calories (unless it’s alcoholic), and on top of all that, I decided I needed a brownie!!
Needless to say I felt like absolute crap all afternoon after eating all that. And the food isn’t even delicious. Oh well, we all have days that get the better of us. That meal was almost my entire day’s intake, but I bartend tonight at my other job so I’ll burn off some of it then. It’s a good reminder sometimes that just because something can fit in my calories for the day, doesn’t mean I should fit it in my body.
@rianneonamission - welcome back! I’m glad to see you’re still at it even with your recent life events.
@mrssunshine78 - good luck with your ‘42’ day fix! I’ve heard of the name but don’t actually know anything about it.

Successes: staying with the program of physio, eating relatively well, getting enough sleep. 4 days of strong curves. Got in a few shorter runs.
Struggles: American thanksgiving this week. Lots of nibbling. My last run yesterday ended with a suggestion of knee pain but I stopped.
Upcoming week plan: Getting in 3 days of strong curves and running 3 miles 3 days this week.
Its back to cold beans and porridge this week, as my gramma says. The holiday is over. Just gotta keep my head down till Xmas holidays so I can move through it with some grace. @rianneonamission I absolutely recommend strong curves. I am actually seeing a difference even though it’s only been 5 weeks. I will confirm this with my next measurements though. I definitely feel stronger and with ski season coming up, the timing couldn’t be better for a little extra lower body strength.2 -

I made it! My average is under 165! I'm also really proud of myself for re-engaging with logging. Over the last few weeks I've really been focusing in proper logging and I finally feel like I'm back at it 100%.
I should be pretty in the clear until the week of Christmas. We don't have any birthdays/anniversaries/or any other big celebrations coming up, so I'll stay as on-top of things as possible until Christmas comes. And then I'll eat a ton for about 3 days, and I'll move on.
@mrssunshine78 - You'll have to let me know how the program goes. See if it's something to look into.
@bringbackthejoy - It seems like we've got the same plan for the next month. Keep your head down until Christmas then deal with what comes!
I hope you all had a great weekend! Time to head to bed so I can face Monday properly!

Everyone in the US: Hope you had a fab Thanksgiving! @curlygirlusn I am sure that weight will drop right off.
@mrssunshine Maintenance is good! (Plus you have lost since according to your post which appeared in my timeline)
@KelseyRL We all have days like that, and when you get to the “oh but that wasn’t worth the calories” you know that something has changed. In the past it was a case of ‘*kitten* it, YOLO!’ but now it’s a case of ‘YOLO so I’d best be kind to my body’. Well done meeting your goal!
@bringbackthejoy Sounds good. I might look in to the book a bit more in the new year once I am closer to my target weight. I don’t think 154 will get my fat content down to where I’d like it to be, but perhaps a bit of strong curves will help with a bit of re-comping.
@Go_Deskercise Nothing like a bit of ‘holy crap’ to end the month on! Nice work!
@nic_27_grassisgreener I would wholeheartedly agree with that conclusion! Well done!

See you all in the other thread!
