I'm having an ok week. I am going out of town this weekend, so I was planning on going to the gym everyday this week until Fri when I leave. Well, the bf called after work yesterday because the vehicle wouldn't start. I spent my evening with him getting the vehicle back up and running. I never made it to the gym. Now, I will only be able to go to the gym three days this week (I normally go 5 day/wk).
This is where I'm struggling. It's like any time my rountine is messed up or if I can't make it to the gym, I have that urge to give into my cravings. It's like I'm thinking, "well, I won't be burning much cals this week so might as well give in to my cravings and start anew next week." I don't know why this thinking occurs. I don't want to give into it because I just lost the couple lbs I gained the last time this happened and I binged for almost a whole week

Bunion flare up is slowly getting better. No one minds me traipsing around work without shoes so far. Honestly, in some ways it was good that it happened. The key to success in beating the binge behavior for me is dealing with disappointments. It really was devastating and disappointing not to be able to walk and to go out as I pleased, much less exercise. The weather was so nice last weekend and it was the 2nd to the last weekend before my century ride, and missing out on riding was a huge bummer. So it was "good" in the sense that it was was good practice for future disappointments which will surely come. Going to try to get on the elliptical tonight cross your fingers for me. Thank you for listening.0 -
OH my goodness this is the first month I haven't recorded my number! I think I might be a little more on and off with the recording until my schedule is back to normal. I just signed up for my first binge eating seminar called Breaking Down The Binge: Why You Do It, How To Stop It, and How To Immediately Recover If It Happens Anyway.

It was tough because I made banana muffins for the kids. I ate more than I should have but held off on true binging.0 -

Lesson learned - I always binge on Sunday mornings starting with bread then it goes downhill. So next time weekend comes around I will focus on drinking lots of water and eating mainly protein instead of processed carbs.0 -
