Yesterday, @LoraineGB and I were communicating about body weight exercises. She mentioned that she owned a Bosu. I have no experience with a Bosu, but I am intrigued. One of the great things about Youtube.com is that you can find videos with instructional training for any fitness concept you might like to learn.
Here is one on beginning Bosu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sru6_VqmjAc
It's only 2 minutes in length3 -

The BoSu is a very versatile piece of equipment, if you haven’t already used one, I definitely suggest trying it out!2 -
@RangerRickL @LoraineGB Thanks for this. I was reading LoraineGB's post yesterday and wondering what a BoSu was and if it would be a useful addition to my very limited equipment (a yoga mat and some very very light weights. I will read with interest. I really need to start doing some body weight training, but don't really know where to begin, so thanks again! Have a great day.2

The bosu is great, I use them for cross training. Wish I could have one myself but they are so expensive, so I stick to the gym.2

Thank you all for the kind words and support! I’ve been to the doctor who says it’s nothing serious I am just stressed and tired (pretty sure I told her that!)
Another pass day yesterday, when I can’t get my exercise in the morning, my will power and motivation quickly fall as well. I’ll be working on that this month as a goal.

Whoa baby I got some PR's this morning. I got a couple of climb PR's and a descent.
The descent means I am getting crazier.
Man o man!
My canyon digs have thawed out so I am back to riding up my canyon.
I guess that hill repeat of 2.5 mile x 1000 climb did something for my heart and lungs or brain.
Either that or the road grader went through there and made me a fast patch.
I guess I am having fun.
Tomorrow, my little Buddy is coming over. I wonder if I could teach that little guy to fish?
What that has to do with a chipmunk, I don't know.

Sorry for the late posting, I was in countryside for the past 3 days. Net connection was awful. I managed to track everything on the diary, whenever I could connect wtih my phone but community section doesn't work properly in my mobile so I decided to wait and post all at once.
Now that I've lost more than 30 lbs, I really need to start putting my body in at least a bit of shape to prevent excessive sagging. I still couldn't find a proper gym so I started strength training with videos and some homemade "weight equipment" such as grain sacs, and hole-drilled stones on an iron rod. I'm still hoping to find a good gym. If not, I'll use the money for buying a good weight training kit online.8 -

Short walk on/dusk (arrive home in the dark).
Busy work day.
@RangerRickL. & @LoraineGB. Bosu may be of use to some, but not something for me. I can definitely see the benefits of it (particularly if working on strengthening muscles and tendons to support weak joints). However like most fitness specific equipment it either gets used continually (minority of cases) or used for a short time (maybe a month), then left to gather dust.
@bocasdelgrandpabob. Well done on the PR's. Good to hear you are back riding again. (Cute chipmunk - don't get them here in Australia).
@oykucan. Great work losing more than 30 lbs. You will get skin sagging for quite a while (it takes months to years - if ever) to reduce to your new size. (losing 50+ lbs in the last year, this is from experience).
I also find that a "proper gym" is not necessary unless you are trying to build specific muscles. What you are doing sounds perfect. Most bodyweight exercises are good compound free-weight exercises that do the best for balanced muscle development anyway. I have not been to a proper gym in years but can (and regularly do) 10 pull-up on a door frame, plank for 120 seconds or 40+ good form push-ups with ease. I have no desire to be a "Charles Atlas" (though I do have a 6 pack from being under 10% body fat - at age 49). I just want a good working strength so I can do regular stuff easily without getting tired.

Ortho appt today and I am now in an air cast and can only take it off to shower and do Mat Pilates with my rigid brace on. Posterior tibialis tear, bone marrow edema and tarsal tunnel. Good news in all this is I am being referred to a sports medicine PT to help me build a workout routine to help me continue to be active while off my foot.6 -

After last couple days “uncontrollable” binge eating, I am back to normal self. Told hubby I might be hooked in walking this week! Walked 30 minutes in the morning with friends; then when I parked and realize I had 15 minutes before picking up my son, I walked instead of chilling in car; while waiting for my son’s track practice, I walked with my hubby around the field... today got 15,000 steps! Just want to keep walking!
Wendesday is always my longest work day, only had 2300 steps, though I played about 5 hrs of piano. This week my goal is walk 10,000+ steps daily. So far, Monday, Tuesday and Thurs are GOOD!
Today I also went to do a quick cloth shopping, felt good and thinking about doing some muscle toning in the near future! Looked better (still 20-30 lbs to go), but most important of all, feeling healthier! Yay!7 -

@aganey There is no disqualify Pass day that causes you to be out of the UAC group. You are out of the monthly Winner’s Circle for any month in which you have more than 3 Pass Days. I am a co leader of this group because I need accountability partners. I do not always make it into the monthly Winners Circle. We are working on becoming thoughtful about exercise and eating. After a lifetime of bad habits, we don’t make the change overnight.
Stick with us!!10 -
It’s a long day
