I am feeling better about this month actually. Already got a good start at making a habit of working out. My new pants are smaller than I thought they were going to be. But still going to work towards getting them to fit.

Clara Happy Easter to your family also. Hope that library is finished soon.
Paula I resembled the cat. Bwahaha
Chris my scales are really whacky. They gave me different amounts 3 times! Arghhhh. Finally settled on 150 even.

172.5 this morning. Early doctor's appointment then coming home to do my challenges, I have to really get these done on a daily basis. I need them to build strength as I still feel weak and I need to build stamina.

Paula, love the funny pictures!
136.8 today
Started 50 push-ups challenge and no junk food challenge2 -
144.8 this morning at 6:00. Wonder if it was because I ate so late. ugh! I was happy yesterday. boohoo.
Clara this is DAY 22 of my NO JUNK FOOD STREAK. I was in the DAY 40's but then had my birthday which kinda made me sick. Too much sugar.
Got our carpets cleaned this morning...my house is a disaster. Freaks me out. All windows and doors are open. Good things it's a nice day today in Norther California!! So that meant no walking this morning but DDD and I are working out w/our trainer at 1:00. It'll be so fun!!
Chris1 -
Kathy let us know how it goes. Fingers crossed for you. And you are right, it takes consistency.
Clara glad to hear you are doing those challenges!
Chris it is way to wet and cold here to have the house open. Brrrrddd

145.6 this morning at 5:00...don't know what's going on but...man!
Walked w/DH this morning then shopped for chicken/bean soup then DDD, Ronan and Bean came over and we took Bean for a puppy bath and then we made chicken/bean soup and then SIL came over and then we ate soup and then DDD, SIL, Ronan and Bean went home. A good morning.
Chris1 -
Chris sounds like a real good morning! Did Ronan like the soup? My day was spent in class. Boring.
Went to a mandatory class on first aid, CPR and aed. Best thing is catching up with people I do not see often.

Ronan wouldn't eat anything or nap yesterday...too excited to be with his garbage truck and his grandpa...in that order. It's gotta hurt to lose your high status to a garbage truck, but DH is taking it well and teaching Ronan how to dump EVERYTHING, including his little people, into the garbage truck. So funny.
144.4 at 6:00 this morning. Walking w/DH this morning and working out w/DDD and our trainer this afternoon. Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day. Rain expected by Friday...we'll see.
Chris0 -
Darn, nothing saved. Anyway as I was saying.....congratulations Chris on them he loss. :drinker: Have to love it when they are so excited about something.
My granddaughter, Kaeldra, is like that over our puppy Libby Lu.
150 this morning0 -
144.5 this morning at 5:00. DH wants to was a little earlier. Got pretty sunny
and warm yesterday morning. That's supposed to end tomorrow...rain is coming...
Going to visit DDD and Ronan after walking this morning. FUN!!!
Chris1 -
150 this morning. Had Chinese for lunch with DH and friends.
Shelley0 -
Yeppy, yep...Paula's Pineapple Express is roaring through Oakley as I type this! Rain until tomorrow afternoon.
143.6 (maybe) this morning at 7:00...a sleep in this morning!! Rain will do that, ya know. So, no walk, but afternoon workout w/DDD and our trainer at 1:00. FUN!!
Chris0 -
You need a beautiful umbrella. Then you would get excited to walk in the rain.
All we got was snow! And lots of clouds.

174 this morning. Yesterday evening I realized that if I only ate what my body needed I could start losing weight now.
So every time that little voice said "another bite's not bad and you can really knuckle down tomorrow" or "you were so good, there's room for another bite" or "but you have all that good stuff, it might go to waste" or "please......!!!"
My inner awareness said "but I really had enough already, and if I start knuckling down now, I'll have a good start" and "besides, tomorrow never comes." And I didn't eat more than I needed, and I did start losing weight. And I am praying to all the powers that be, for the strength to continue. (Already have the friendsjust need the strength.)
paula1 -
Paula that is exactly what I had to do. And I just kept doing it...the infused water really helps me when I do get like that. You can do this, Paula.
Shelley...my rain-walker!! Been together a lot of years.
144.6 this morning at 5:45. Yoga w/DDD and our trainer then walked w/DH for 5 plus miles. It was pretty nice out there.

Chris, thanks for the feedback, it's so good to know it worked for you - makes me hopeful. I am kicking caffeine right now and using Roma, which is a cereal beverage - basically flavored water.
Your brollie is purdy.
paula0 -
Chris that umbrella is fabulous. I love it. I had a nice one once. To windy here. Broke my large yellow daisy!
Paula you said it wonderfully. Great inspiration. Thanks so much.
Shell1 -
Paula, I hope you are getting stronger and stronger every day. Sorry about having to kick caffeine...did the doctor recommend it? I did that when I was having babies. Now, however, they say it is okay to drink. I remember I didn't like giving it up. I have good thoughts for you during the process.
144.4 this morning at 5:00. Walking and then lunch w/DDD and two friends then shopping.
Chris2 -
172# this morning; have lost 2# each for the last two days. At this rate, it will only take 15 days to lose 30#. Hah hah, wouldn't that be kool. but it's fun to dream!
The doctor did not specifically nix coffee, I'm just being extra careful. Chris, you notice how over the years we get to see things come in and out of favor? I don't miss it, still have energy and clear-headedness - just not manic.
Dr's got me on same protocol as pre-surgery for 30 days while everything settles down. Then the propaphenone (heart-control) goes bye-bye - if little heartie stays in sinus rhythm on its own then, well that'll be the miracle.
paula1 -
I wanna lose 2# a day for a week...then I would be dancin' happy! Good job Paula! I was so sick when I gave up coffee...cold turkey. Good thoughts for the miracle. Every day!
Shelley, I have a number of cute umbrellas but that is my fav. Got Ronan a Mickey Mouse one and then it didn't rain when he was here. **sigh**
Made goulash this morning before lunch w/DDD and friends. Left before it's simmering was complete...DH was in charge...he did a great job stirring it and keeping it from burning. It turned out really good! Happy! That had to be my fourth or fifth try at it. DH likes it, too! It's low, low salt for him.
Chris0 -
Paula fingers and toes crossed for you.
And I also want to lose 2 pounds a day.
Chris it will rain. Then you can walk and splash together.
Worked out with daughter. Walked the kids and then took Kaeldra out for bike riding lessons. We worked on balance and coasting today. And getting on and off. Shish they should have done this when she was little. Never to late though.

145.0 this morning at 5:00. Had three little bitty muffins at lunch yesterday. I mean...tiny. And for that I get an up on the scale. However...I didn't have a GIANT Mimi's muffin and pretty sure I didn't kill my streak. This is Day 29 of my new streak. Mother's Day is 34 days away, and it won't include ice cream and pound cake.
Chris0 -
Chris, It's so nice that your goulash turned out well. And very timely! Goulashes are so helpful walking thru puddles in the rain.
171# so only lost 1# today. Not gonna complain, five pounds in a week. The new mentality is working. Just reached for a single banana chip and then stopped because my mind said:- "Sure it wouldn't hurt, and yes it would fit in your allotment, and yes it is good for you, and yes you are a little hungry."
- BUT you don't need it, you can wait till you make lunch.
- AND the fewer unnecessary bites, the sooner you lose weight. So start NOW, not after the banana chip.
- Don't chance one banana chip turning into ten banana chips. Don't let one banana chip be the first of a dozen excuses to have another and another and another healthy/but/unnecessary bite - the journey starts with the first step. And don't think you can wait till after this banana chip - remember, tomorrow never comes.
paula0 -
bwahahahahah! Goulashes!! Silly, Paula!!
GOOD JOB, PAULA!! Be very proud of yourself! And five pounds a week would be okay for me, too...
Chris0 -
Chris that Paula got you with that one. Maybe it was the Goulashes that caused the little upswing. Not the tiny muffins.
Paula keep telling us your talks to yourself. They are inspiring.
149.8 this morning.
