Yoga yesterday...blah...but it was with DDD and one of her friends. Our trainer was great! Her two terrier pups were there to help distrace me!

Walking in a few mins w/DH. Pretty nice outside. It's supposed to be cooler today.

The score might just be Gopher - 6 ... Human - 4. The gopher got another tomato plant. The last traps set haven't moved or been buried. hmmm. AND I have ants...all over my new purple flowers...picture of the flowers to follow. **sigh** D- for the bug guy. Man! So many ants...little guys. Not the tiny, tiny ants but the next size up.

Chris, Another thing you can do with gophers (in the future) is install a gopher cage around/underneath your planter beds. We had those around our trees to keep them safe until they got established.

DH was just looking at those this morning. We've talked abut it too. It's a good plan.

Be careful to get one with small enough holes. It's amazing what they can get through.

I had a pet ground squirrel once (Tony, used to ride around on my shoulder, hidden in my hair) and he squeezed out a 1" hole that a dowel had been in. Unfortunately while the cat was watching. Never forgave that cat for following its own nature.

:'( but happy, fun memories of Tony.

We'll just see what DH comes up with.

Paula that is so sad. :( My kitty snatched a bird off my shoulder once. Chased it down and scared it into dropping the bird. Poor bird had to stay in jail after that narrow escape.

Chris hope you win the battle with them gophers. Pesky little guys.

County Comm. meeting went until 1000 PM on Tuesday. Then Lunch with my daughter and her family on the 4th. Kaeldra is now riding her bike standing up. Awesome of her.

    YEA!!!! Kaeldra!! Way to go!

We are losing the battle w/the gopher. Another tomato plant...DOWN!!!

Chris, Have you considered sitting down and having a heart-to-heart talk with the gopher? Maybe he doesn't realize how attached you are to your tomato plants. Or maybe you can appeal to his sense of self-preservation (you take another plant, you're dead meat, you dirty rat!).

Or dig up the remaining plants and put them in large pots! Call a pest specialist! Get an expert to do the dirty work. How about an old bathtub as a pot? You could spray paint it. Or build a box around it. Then pull the plug at the end of the season. Lots of possibilities with a tub.

    Best of luck.

    Road trip today. No workout.

HAHAHAH! Paula, your are so funny! I don't know gopher...

Going to plant some flower seeds today. Purple Primrose and yellow Primrose. I like the old bathtub idea. We'll see.

Walking w/DH this morning...need to get my shoes and socks on.

Maybe tomato plants will make your gopher so fat that he gets stuck in his hole. Then you can catch him and chase him out of your yard! It's happened, see?

Recumbent bike 30 minutes then tennis match for 60 minutes in 92 degree weather. My doubles partner and I won 6-3 6-4. My first win since before Shingles. It felt so good. I was worried for awhile that I would never play well again. Finally!!! One more summer match then a break before fall. Going to get a walking plan going with my BFF.

Walking is good, Kathy. I actually lost 60 pounds just walking and watching my food. 'Course I was a bit younger...

DH and I walk at least 5 mornings a week. I feel much better when we walk. On days we take off? ...I'm a slug.

Derek & I moved furniture to free up the shelves in the Pod so we can go through bags of stuff and downsize some more. Can't believe that 10 minutes winded me! Did 9 sets of 10 minutes, but even that shouldn't have left me quivering with exhaustion, collapsed on the couch, drenched in sweat. Need to power up again. Argh!

Oh, Paula! You'll get there. We have all started at the beginning once or twice...or a lot more than I, personally, can count. We'll help.

Ah yes, starting at the beginning... something manageable.
I hereby commit to doing this every other day this week.
If I don't post confirmation here that it was done,
you are granted permission to give me grief
for not making the effort to help myself.

    THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT
    You have my oath.

    Thanks Chris... <3

Chris I did that one two weeks ago! Love it.

Paula I do not recommend getting a prairie dog out of its hope that way. Looked dangerous. But notice it was a woman helping the little fat guy out! And I am so happy to see you are committing to the Toy Soldier that Chris suggested!

Kathy winning again! Congratulations! You are rocking it!

It was my anniversary today. 39 years. Went walking with my mom, kids and DH. Had the son and daughter over with their families for a barbecue. It was so much fun. A ladies group from a local church were here yesterday as part of their garden walk. They were so uplifting.

    Off to bed with me.

I tried for one set and managed two! Today's overhead punches are going to make tomorrow's arms hurt.

    Thanks Clara!

Paula congratulations on getting in two sets! And overhead punches will make you better. Hopefully not to sore though. :)

Did 3 sets. Thought about hopping during the high step...that was a big no. Hahaha
