Excellent pledge, Paula! I think it'll help all of us.
Nice job, ladies!
Shelley, congratulations on 39 years!! Sounds like you had a great time! Oh, and no hopping allowed!!
Did equivalent of three sets w/trainer, walking w/DH and marching w/Ronan down the hall this morning. Our trainer is also going back to the beginning because of my issues. Not sure how I feel about that.
We have the boys until about 11:00 p.m. tonight. This is a first for us. We'll see how it goes.
Chris1 -
1 set done tonight. My arms are sore and there's a kink in my neck. Can't wait to get in shape again (a shape other than "saggy").
paula1 -
Fell asleep watching TV. Woke up at 1:00 am. One very sleepy set, done, under protest.
paula1 -
Walking w/DH this morning then trainer will be coming here for our workout...baby yoga!!! Ronan does the best Down Dog you have ever seen. I'll see if I can get a picture. Then to the spine doctor at 1:30. Hoping for a cortisone shot or something to relieve my backside. EGADS!!!
Chris2 -
Feel better, please, Chris!

Did two sets yesterday, and one set tonight. Got home from visiting friends late and squeezed it in before collapsing. Just woke up, needed that...
paula1 -
Good job, Paula! I just whined yesterday...wish it had be a 'wine' day instead!!
Doc gave me prednisone. 12 day supply...start w/3 tabs, then 2 then 1. Supposed to make me really happy...not yet. This is instead of having to have the cortisone shot. I have three different issues...back hips, front right hip, and legs to my feet. I don't know what's going to happen. We'll see.
Chris1 -
Chris, Prednisone is my go-to drug of choice. Have you had it before? I've been told it amplifies one's natural mood - for me that's giddy happiness. Wishing the same for you, it's fun.
That's what they give me for bad poison oak. I keep a packet in the medicine cabinet just in case. The day it would take to get to a clinic & get a prescription, would let the reaction take hold. Staving it off as soon as I know I'm exposed is the best chance of reducing the reaction. That was also what they used to reduce the inflammation in my back and get rid of the sciatica this year. It's a life saver!
Hope it reduces what's hounding you enough so that it doesn't come back.

I wish it did the same for me, too, Paula...but nopey, nope. The hydrocodone seems to work the best. My doc has me take 7.5 mg every 12 hours, I'm going to see if she'll let me do them every eight. Last night was horrible. I'll do Sunday as directed and decide on Monday what to tell the docs.
Walked w/DH and Bean then worked out w/our trainer for an hour then went shopping. It was a good afternoon.
Chris2 -
Chris that sounds awful. Prednisone makes my daughter feel awful. I sure hope you feel better soon. Wish I could see Ronan doing yoga. So cute!
Paula you are inspiring me. Keep it up. I am starting the program that Chris and I did back in the day. March Challenge.

I went out to look at the landslide this evening, and decided to see if I could walk to the top of the street (fairly steep uphill) and it didn't even wind me, so I ended up going around the block and getting home at dusk, right about when the coyotes and mt lions emerge. oops!
paula
p.s. I will go do the challenge now. Let's see how many sets this time.
1 -
Shelley, which March challenge? I'll bring it (them) forward.
Paula, ya gotta get home before twilight...bad thing happen as the sun goes down.
Gotta go now...walking w/DH and Bean to the new Dog Park.
Chris1 -
Chris, as I realized how dark it was getting, I started listening real closely to all the sounds, you know? When an acorn dropped from and overhead tree and landed in the back of my collar, you should've seen me jump!
I actually got three sets done last night plus 15 minutes of dumbbells - felt quite energized.
:flowerforyou: paula1 -
Paula, I would have jumped and screamed, started running, tripping over tree roots, landing face first in front of a mtn lion. The End.
Chris0 -
Bridge for you Shelley!!

I did only one set of the challenge tonight but did not feel guilty.
I'd walked to a friend's house to sit their cat and the way back was all uphill. Breakfast had been a chicken breast and broccoli - not enough to fuel the trip home at 6pm. I was pretty close to collapsing, so today's workout requirement had already been fulfilled.
paula0 -
Paula you need food between breakfast and 6 pm. Lunch is a must. That's the rule. And Thank You for the compliment. I hope he remains the sweet boy like he is right now.
Walking w/DH this morning then workout w/DDD and our trainer this afternoon. I got DDD two pretty dresses to wear when she goes back to school as a 3rd grade teacher. She loves them. Tell you about that later.

Here's some down dog for you...
My love!
Chris1 -
DDD got asked to fill an interim VP position starting tomorrow!! She'll have her current school and one other school. Three days here, two days there. She is excited and nervous. She still has to set up her classroom for the sub and have conversations w/him. It's a little crazy, but she will bring it together. We'll see how it all works out.
Chris1 -
Bad night last night. Maybe walking tomorrow. Depends on what DDD finds out today at the big meeting. We will take the boys to the dog park and see how that works out with both of them. It'll be fun.
Chris0 -
No workout for me last night. Had personal homework to attend to, it felt productive, but then I fell asleep.
paula0 -
Paula, I would have jumped and screamed, started running, tripping over tree roots, landing face first in front of a mtn lion. The End.
Chris
Muahaha, I got a visual of this. Very fun.
Love all the photos of Ronan, what a little doll! Now stop growing up so fast!
Chris I think it was called March Circuit Challenge! It had the Jumping Jacks, mountain climbers, burpees push-ups...yep it was a killer as the weeks went by.
Shelley

Did it look like this??
Didn't find a March Circuit Challenge. I'll keep looking.
Chris0 -
I'm not doing that one, Chris. :noway: you two can keep it all for yourselves.
paula1 -
Well, Paula, we belong to the 1000 x zero burpees club...no burpees for us. What do you want to do? I'll put up one for Shelley and one for us.
Trying to get up at 3:30 to walk at 4:30...hope it works. Then I have a workout w/our trainer.
Ate a bunch of peppermint...found it in the car...and wanton salad toppers. So much for the 138.4 this morning!!
Chris1 -
Walking in 15...workout w/trainer later this morning. DDD is a VP at her school now!! Cool beans!!
Chris0 -
I like that one Chris. But it is not the one we did together back in 2013. I am still a member of the group.

March Circuit Challenge!
Owner: KimInsanityPLeaders: KimInsanityPCreated on March 6, 2013 I am betting you could find it. I have looked online for it. But maybe she made it up? Maybe I could get my daughter to help me with it also. I do need the challenge though. all the changes week by week. Might be able to find it if I go through all the posts.
