I am not awesome, just a cyclist that has not had much luck with this event. I have finished everything else I have entered. TdC has been one that took 4 attempts just to finish one. It is the hardest ride I have ever done, Miles don't mean much when you have to tackle the canyons of the East Slope of the cascade Mts. But I had a blast suffering with my son!

July 16 and 17: Adding 22.75 miles of walking and cycling
TTD: 172.75 miles
My pups are slowly improving. At least the urinatingg, diarrhea and not eating has stopped. I may get a full nights sleep soon.
Congrats Anaconda on TdC! Fourth times the charm! Awesome determination. Many would have given up but your dedication paid off.0 -

Wow, it's been 10 days since I've seen you all? Work has been crazy, scary, overwhelming and, well, fun. We've been rolling out the class I am responsible for and between editing materials, demonstrating to the other instructors, working with the writer for final edits and additions, (She is incredible) and all the other stuff I'm not sure what time it is, what day it is or even what meals I've missed. But, honestly, I love this part.
Somehow I have kept moving most days anyway. I've added another 28 miles for a July total of 65.25 miles
@ anaconda469 Congratulations, I'm glad this was the year. Your willingness to keep trying until it happened reminds me that giving up should never be an option. Even on the days it seems the deck is stacked against you.2 -

Congratulations on making GOAL to @2ESSIE!!
Happy to report that we have made it home safe & sound, not too much worse for the wear. Lots of sun, laughs, great times and a closer bonding. My sore rearend and the too-much-sun on my face and arms will all be better in a few days. Yes, I did wear sunscreen and I'm not burned. I'm very tanned on my forearms and I have odd tanlines on my face from the helmet straps and from wearing goggles. My cheeks are very brown and the space around my eyes is white. I look like a raccoon.
Now to try to get back into a regular routine. I'm still on vacation the rest of this week so I've got that going for me.
Hope you've all had a great week!

I dragged my sore butt to the gym this morning and hopped on the treadmill. Only took it a little easy, but got my full 2.0 mile interval run in.
