Back shot really helps. DH figured out that if I use a big wedge for a pillow at night, I don't hurt as much in the morning. Keeps everything in alignment. Going to the foot doc today. Hoping for answers that don't include the word...boot!

@k80flec - lol, maybe. There is that meme that says "I've never seen my trainer and Satan in the same room at the same time." Your costume sounds great, you'll need to post a picture on here.

I'm off this week so I've been able to take some of the classes I used to go to when I had my night shift job. Did 3 in 2 days with one of my favorite instructors and every muscle in my body hurts. Yesterday was TRX, today was TRX with kettle bells and a cycling class that also has strength circuits.

Adding 6 miles for the cycling part.

@cpanus - fingers crossed for a quick, painless, bootless cure.
@k80flec - I read about your costume with interest, but was stumped by "godet." So happy to now know what that is called. I was an avid seamstress when I was younger so I'm amazed I never knew it had a name. And your costume sounds very cute and clever.

Halloween costume idea: Some friends took glow sticks and taped them along their arms and legs and down their torso. Looked like nothing with the lights on but in the dark ... stick figures! Brilliant.

I was in the New York city the past two days and did a lot of walking around. I'm now at 72/75. So close...

Tomorrow I'll be packing. We finally received our building permit to renovate our summer house. I'm excited the work can be done this winter but that means I have to empty several rooms before I head south for the winter. Lots to do! I'll need some of vhuber's or clepant's energy to get it all done LOL.

Got in 9.5 miles of moving my feet since Sunday. The grandson got his buck right after sun up on Monday. His shot was 365 yards which the guys say is really good especially for an 11 year old. We are proud of him.
The last couple of days I'm doing something that is asinine! I'm helping the owner of the "to be" fitness center ""RIP"" up oak tongue & groove flooring to be replaced with OSB!!! I'm soooo upset about this because it is soooo stupid! Besides having LOTS of work to do on that stuff to make it smooth & the coats of verathane that have to be applied!! Ripping out this flooring is HARD work & I'm not joking. She doesn't do much but has her 70+ year father do it. He is a GREAT worker but he really should have talked her out of this. I pull up carpet, take a long handled ice chipper & scrape old squares of tile & glue off, pull up tar paper then using crow bars & hammer you literally rip back the wood that splits & breaks. I then haul piles of the rubble to the truck outside & throw it over the tall side rails. I was greatly disappointed today cuz she never even showed up. It was just her father & I. I must say this is an AWESOME workout & I'm wiped out at night. Tomorrow I clean for my bachelor friend & then we hit the floor ripping again. I stepped back from working with her for 6 weeks cuz I felt I was being pushy trying to get things done & thought she'd step up but wrong. Hardly anything got done. I want to start my classes so I guess I'm going to have to work like a maniac on crack to get that to happen anytime soon! I made her father an apple pie last night & he was so appreciative of that.
Oh & I did do a couple of Tabata workouts this past week. Gotta be in shape to lead my class! LOL

Wow this month has gotten away from me! I haven't been very active either. :(
Thank goodness I write down when I do get miles in.

I'm adding 28 for the month to bring me up to date.

Kflec80: I agree. If your costume turns out the way you want, a photo would be great. I like Janet’s idea too.
I Need to put together a costume for a church fall activity for our kids. They go from door to door and each of us has an activity set up inside for them to do to receive their treat. I have been running between bundling brush at my dad’s to helping get our parsonage ready for our new pastor and family. Add in some docor appointments for my dad and I am not sure where the time goes. I am sleeping great from the work. Also pushing some longer workouts. My legs long to run if there is such a thing...lol. Tomorrow is garlic planing at our demo garden. I still have to get mine in. I did yield a test crop of potatoes that aI planted mid July. My friend said that I would probably get lots of small new potatoes but I think I did well. Harvested the last of peppers and egg plants too before the harsh cold snap hit. Must dig up my cannas now.

@vhuber - that girl does sound crazy, and manipulative. I understand your motivation. It sounds like this is the only way you’re going to get your teaching space back up and running. However it sounds quite criminal to rip out an old oak floor ... can you imagine how much it would cost to lay the equivalent at today’s prices!! I’m sure we’ve muttered and chunnered before about ‘the young’ and their ‘disposable’ attitude.

Oct. 27: 9 miles today of walking 3 and cycling inside for 6 miles.
A bit lazy and more rain made it feel better to stay inside. No garlic planting. Hoping Tuesday will be dry.
Today was sad as we had another man go off the deep end and kill 11 people in a local synagogue. It is so sad that people just feel compelled to kill. Tonight they are saying that the shooter is is being smug and shows no sign of regret in what he did. I feel bad for the doctors who had to operate on him. Tomorrow, I will be sitting sideways in my church pew. We had a bank robber use our parking lot to park the get a way car on Tuesday. It has been a crazy week.
