I avoided all Easter treats but was very sedentary this week, plus I discovered Halo Top ice cream (hopefully got that out of my system and can drop it from my food cravings).

Finally!!!!!
I decided to experiment this week by going back to basics, and for me this meant going 99% carnivore. I am eating eggs, meat, butter (for cooking), and a few no-carb sauces (I have a killer no dairy/no-carb honey mustard sauce recipe) and seasonings. I find that I get hooked on cheeses, low carb yogurts (the Dannon Two Good yogurts have been so addictive), and nuts, and either they affect my body differently and/or I am eating them to excess.
Either way, I decided to do just a 1-week trial, ridding my diet of all dairy (except butter), nuts, and veggies. I was SO scared to not have cream in my coffee, but I find I actually like it better with just a little liquid stevia. I had just been conditioned to think I needed it. I do miss veggies, and will likely add some back in this week.
What I really like about doing carnivore (or at least a version of it) is that I find I am not thinking about eating when I am not hungry. Like I said, I get "hooked" on certain foods, and it causes me to want them all the time, to feel like breakfast isn't complete without cheese or a yogurt. I feel much more satiated on much less food.

So, I hit the 11 pound mark in 3 weeks. 4/7 was the date that I got back on Keto after a nearly 7 month hiatus, so I expected a big drop initially that would even out and I was right. The water weight fell off almost immediately and then I flopped around for a couple of weeks while things regulated. I'm tracking my calories and exercise and am coming in at what should be a rate of loss of 3lbs per week, so we'll see how that actually works out as we move in to May.3 -

I seem to be plateauing? On paper my calories should put me into a weight loss position but I think I need to get more accurate with my tracking as I tend to guesstimate my portion sizes quite a bit. Any recommendations for a good (inexpensive) food scale if such a thing exists?!

@THachAb any food scales will do as long as they can be set to measure grams or parts of ounces. Electronic/digital ones are good and not expensive these days.0
