One quarter of 2019 is done. Jan and Feb, I lost 12 pounds and March I gained 13. If I repeat that quarterly performance all year, for 2019, I will gain 4 pounds. NOT what I’m going for! I love all seasons here in the Northwest, I think spring is my fav. Hopefully, spring has arrived to stay here. I want spring to be the beginning of a long stretch of ketosis days for me. THIS IS NOT an April Fool’s joke. Ketosis begins today.1

I weighed in at the gym and their scale was higher than mine by 2 lbs! I'm using my home scale for tracking just because it's what I have access to most consistently. The gym scale will only be measured against itself hehe
@River_Goddess I do the same thing! I track my weight at home on MFP and on a note in my phone I record my gym weight just for comparison.0 -

We've had some "spring/hints of summer" days and it's been great. We have had a lot of rain lately, which CA has sorely needed - but my moods need the sun! Glad you are feeling the motivation today - because I am too!0 -
I'm so in. Started keto just this past Monday after much prodding from my son. I am in my late 60's and have health issues that prevent strenuous exercise so keto may be just what I need. I have lost 26 pounds since Aug 2018 and need to step up this journey.

It's been a while since I defended my dissertation; however, I certainly remember the pounds I put on prior to my defense and the relief I felt when it was over. Now the fun begins!

My goal for April is to lose 30lb with the help of water fasting and dry fasting(along with keto and IF). First week of April I completed the fasting days for a 5:2 water fast, next week I will begin a 12:2 fast..

I finally lost that Mardi Gras weight during my first 5:2 water fast. Down 10lbs and didn't gain an ounce from the first refeed meal!1 -

I’m 55.
My goal for April is too stay on course and plan ahead ( I have a new job with long hours and a long commute).

Excellent work for me not to have gone up. Next week will be interesting as friends are arriving Thursday for a week mmm me and no alcohol during their stay.......not happening I shouldn't think. Gin and light tonic might be the answer but I do love fizz!1 -
Gotta be completely honest here, and maybe one or a few of you can relate.
I started keto last year and had great, albeit slow, success. I lost a little over 11 lbs, going from 166 to 155 in about 3 months. I was working out more, and went from a size 12/14 to an 8 (even fit a few size 6 skirts). During that time, I either didn't drink alcohol at all or was only drinking 2-3 glasses of wine per week. Then, around July I started to regain weight because I started drinking more. To be honest, I started drinking nearly every day, which has been a problem for me for many years. Drinking causes changes in insulin, which makes me eat more than I need to. It also is so many extra calories and carbs, even though I tried to justify it by drinking the driest wines possible. Also, when you drink, your body prioritizes processing the alcohol over food you eat, so you lose some of the nutrients from healthy keto meals. Basically, drinking is bad for the body (not to mention the mind), and I have been struggling with having alcohol in my life for years.
I feel shame about my drinking and the weight I regained, but I am trying to put that to the side and not beat myself up. I am human and definitely not alone in this. I read an amazing book called This Naked Mind which has changed my thinking about alcohol and its role in our culture and in my life. I've been alcohol free (AF) for 6 days (yay!) and looking forward to the physical and mental changes that are the benefits of both being keto and AF.
So I am starting over. My goal for April is to remain AF, keep eating keto, focus on satiety, and see where the month goes. To be honest, I have a wedding to attend June 1st, and my goal is to be back to 155 by then.
Last Sunday 3/31 I hit a recent high of 167.6.

Logged my weight on the spreadsheet. I started keto 4/1. I tracked everything I wasn’t really hungry and feeling pretty good about it all. I stayed in my macros for the most part except for Friday and Saturday and even then they weren’t horrible. I was hoping for more than a 1 lb loss but I’ll take it. I’m bloated too so I feel like I’m holding water.
