THE TIME HAS COME I WILL SAY MY LAST GOOD BYES TO MOM TOMORROW..... I DON'T KNOW IF SHE WILL REGAIN CONSCIOUSNESS.... THE CANCER HAS REACHED HER BONES AND HER BRAIN AND SHE IS IN EXTREME PAIN AND THEY HAVE UPPED HER MEDS TO MAKE IT MORE COMFORTABLE FOR HER. SIS IS DUE IN FRIDAY AND HOPEFULLY MOM WILL STILL BE HERE FOR SHAUNA TO SAY GOOD BYE.
I WILL BE HERE AS MUCH AS I CAN BE DURING THIS TRYING TIME. ALL OF YOU HAVE KEPT ME CENTERED AND IT GIVES ME SOMETHING TO DO BESIDE DOING A BEDSIDE DEATH WATCH. I HAVE DONE WAY TO MANY OF THOSE IN MY PAST.
I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU WARRIORS FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND KINDS WORDS FOR MY FAMILY DURING THIS TIME. I DON'T THINK I COULD DO THIS BY MYSELF AND HAVING ALL YOU COVERING MY SIX WAS A GREAT RELIEF FOR ME.
MAY YOU ALL HAVE CALM WIND AND FOLLOWING SEAS

@Navydaddjtc I'm so sorry about your mom. I know it's a hard thing to go through even though you've tried to prepare yourself, it's still hard. My heart goes out to you and your family. If you need any help with anything just let me know.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE KIND WORDS..... A SPECIAL THANKS TO NANCY FOR THAT VERSE ABOVE
I AM A WARRIOR LITERALLY, BUT I WAS ANYTHING BUT THAT YESTERDAY MY HEART MELTED AND I CRIED UNTIL THERE WASN'T ANYTHING LEFT IN ME. MOM WAS IN AND OUT YESTERDAY I AM JUST HOPING THAT SHE WILL HOLD
ON FOR THE NEXT 36 HOURS UNTIL SHAUNA CAN BE HERE. IT'S MY OPINION THAT IS WHAT SHE IS DOING. HOLDING ON
THAT WAS YESTERDAY TODAY IS A NEW DAY I WILL BE WORKING ON THE TEAM CHAT GETTING STEPS AND BASEBALL SCORES POSTED AND MAKING SURE THAT ALL OF OUR SPREAD SHEETS ARE UP-TO-DATE.
BE PATIENT TEAM I GOT THIS TODAY.

I know it's late. Had some family drama on my end that really messed me up and when I get upset I don't turn to social media I tend to cave in on myself. Everything has been hashed out, forgiven and moved on now but I am sorry for not consistently posting my steps. I think for next month I will be dropping from the step up challenges because I don't want to hold the group back from my new inconsistent check ins.

HOLD ON THERE...BRAKES ON..... EVERY FAMILY GOES THROUGH THAT......MY FAMILY IS EVEN GOING THROUGH IT, EVERY DECISION WE KIDS MAKE FOR MOM IS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE FROM HER FRIENDS SO IT'S JUST GOES WITH THE TURF OF BEING IN A FAMILY
LETS CLEAR THINGS UP HERE FOR YOU....YOUR NOT HOLDING ANYONE OR ANYTHING BACK...... IF ITS EASIER FOR YOU TO POST STEPS EVERY 3 OR 4 DAYS I AM GOOD WITH THAT...... I CAN ALWAYS SEND YOU A PM THAT I NEED THEM IF WE ARE DOING TALLIES OTHER THAN THAT I AM GOOD......PLEASE RECONSIDER YOUR DECISION...NOT FOR THE TEAM BUT FOR YOU AND THE BENEFIT OF THE STEPPING THAT COMES FROM IT.
LET ME KNOW

This was your best while caring for your mom. What kind of son would abandon his mother for a green fitbit board? Not one I would respect.
Keep calm and keep moving. steps are steps as long as you're going toward your goal.3 -

Yeah. Life takes over sometimes... and is out of our control. ππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈπ€·π»ββοΈ I've been there--it is a terribly sad, life-altering state when losing a parent-- I've lost both of mine.

All of this goes for me too, except my dad is still living. My mom's death was blessedly swift, but unexpected. I prefer that to watching my formerly strong daddy fade away slowly because Agent Orange kills more than trees.
I admire the way you are able to balance everything, Greg. I am not good at that.2
