    Daily Check in: Monday
    Food: Logged and under
    Water: 80 oz
Exercise and steps: 30 minute walk and 10,007 steps

I managed to still eat on plan and exercise the min. with everything going on today. This week is going to be busy so I need to make my mini goals a priority. Logging food, 64 oz water, 10K steps and 30 min exercise every day. My daughter should be moving out of her dorm room tomorrow plus an allergist appointment, my niece moves out on Friday(I will be stopping with her for shopping at Target and moving her in her new place), my nephew is going to move in(Idk when), I want to see the doctor about my hip...Like I said a few days ago, I am not good when overwhelmed so I am planning everything out. Planning seems to be key with me. Got to go! Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

    @bmaison2014 Nice day!
@julie8468 Thank you for the kind words. I really never understood how anxiety could be so crippling until it started happening to her. It is scary.
@hope002 I have had many of those lazy days but look how you turned it around! I love how you decided to kick your own butt and went to work out! Wtg Hope!! Also thanks for totaling up your steps and water. They did end up making a column for water so we can just enter the daily total and not worry about keeping a tally for the week. I am not going to lie, I REALLY appreciated you adding up your exercise totals during the baseball Lol! No need for you to keep a running total for this challenge. Unless you want to of course!
@amsandos I can total relate to how you had a revelation about the mind-body connection. That has happened to me a few times in the last few times. I can't believe I didn't figure out some things before I was 53 years old. :s No worries about the MFP posting, it still has some glitches and I saw you posted a loss on my regular newsfeed so I figured you would eventually wind up here. A little side note-they just were talking about the new royal baby on the news and were saying how it was a bank holiday yesterday. I was chuckling because I already knew that from my little British lady here! Lol! Nice having some inside info! ;)
@Mrsbell8well I can see why you would feel like you need a vacation! Between the newish job, Molly's mom, training for work, training for your run, your Mom....I know I am missing a lot too Lol! You also just came off a weekend that probably wasn't very restful. I am sure that cleaning out Molly's mother's house was not only physically but mentally exhausting. You probably do really need a vacation or a lazy day. Hopefully you can plan something into your busy schedule to take a break. Hugs my friend! xoxo . Good luck Thursday with the new boss. Spoiler alert-S/he is going to be impressed and awed by you!
@gottagetthisdown Wow! Impressive steps and water!!
@cyndiesstuff It is so crazy how mental all of this weight loss stuff is. Think about all you have gone through the past month, you really haven't had any time where you could focus on yourself. I know when I get overwhelmed the first thing that gets thrown out of my head is eating. I just do whatever I can do to get through the day and either eat because I am tired and not thinking or eat because I "deserve" it. Why don't you do that "just for today" exercise each day and make it realistic and doable. I am glad you are still trying to get a counselor. I wish it wasn't so difficult. Keep trying, you are worth it! Thanks also for what you said about MK, you really made me think. Shannon actually sort of pointed that out to me looking back, she wasn't as articulate as you. Lol! Sometimes it seems like we are doing more for her than she is doing for herself. We do need to be sure she knows this is her issue and we are here to help her and support her as much as she needs. Also, Jim will be here with his nephew too but it won't stop me from going to the shore. I am hoping to get out in a week or so.
@phoebe112476 If I remember correctly, you are worried about losing too quickly because you are concerned about losing too much muscle mass? How about if you add more protein into your diet? I think you are vegetarian but I am not positive. I don't know how you feel about beans but maybe have some cold yummy recipe in the fridge so you can have when hungry, or the greek yogurt I eat has a lot of protein if you have daily. Also, the yoga should be helping maintain your muscle mass I would think, maybe add in a little strength training too? I know you didn't like curves but maybe you can find something doable on the internet that you can fit in. I think maybe instead of worrying about losing too much, maybe if you turn it around and focus on what you can do to preserve your muscle mass. I would LOVE to be losing quickly Lol! All joking aside, I can totally understand your concern. Looking good in your new outfit and your cute little partner there! Congrats on your high school graduate! She is beautiful and I love the announcement! I am also happy that you are taking time for you, getting your hair cut and new glasses. Sounds like this is the perfect time for doing some things for YOU! Hugs my friend!

    Monday Check in
Food - not great. I wasn't feeling very good but carbs always make you feel better (right? maybe?) :)
    Water - good
Steps - 10,000+ plus 15 minutes of yoga

I do feel better today. I needed to be at work yesterday and made it with some help from sugar. Today however is a new day. I finally found the phitnphat podcast. Wasn't on spotify but found it on Apple Podcasts. She's pretty blunt, but sometimes we need that :)

@cyndiesstuff - glad your mom is a tiny bit better. Hope each day is a little more stable for her. Glad you are reaching out and trying to find a counselor. Good job taking care of yourself!

@sleepymom5 - good luck with your daughter..one more day and she can come home. Has she ever looked into tapping for anxiety. It actually helps...there's a technique for tapping various parts of your body and it helps calm the mind down. We were trying to tell our daughter to try it, but of course we are dumb and old and don't know anything :)

Greetings to everyone else...have a wonderful day!!

    Check in for: Monday
    Logged food: No, over
    Water: 64 oz
Steps and Exercise: 15,922 steps, lots of walking.

I did well on water and steps yesterday. The steps added up quickly between shopping, a school event, and walking around at my son’s golf practice. Just meeting my water and step goals felt like an accomplishment! I need to build up some momentum. I’m sure I went over on food but got behind on logging. Today, I’m logging as soon as I eat something or in advance.

What did I learn in April?
Good habits can slip quickly. I need to log calories and exercise every day or I lose momentum. If I’m doing those things, I feel better about myself and feel like I’m in control. April got off to a rough start with being sick and I was pulled in a lot of directions with my parents needing care, kids’ activities, and my husband finishing up his MBA along with work and travel. I just felt like I didn’t have enough hours to get everything done and stressed more than I needed to. I learned that not working on my health goals didn’t make my busy/stressful April any better! So, the next time I won't let myself get so far off track.

Keep: Getting 10,000+ steps which I’ve been fairly consistent with.
Start: Restart yoga and workout. Logging all food again.
Stop: Stop eating after dinner. I’m not eating because I’m hungry, so time to cut the evening snacks out.

Last thing - Is anyone else having trouble viewing the Weight No More tab on the May spreadsheet? I can’t see any of the team members’ names, weights, steps etc , just the usual template with chart labels is there. I can view the April spreadsheet fine.

@cyndiesstuff thanks for all the lovely support and kind words. @sleepymom5 you as well. Your always so positive and encouraging. Yes Pam it is everything you said. I helped out on Saturday but on Sunday my BIL said he was getting a sore throat and did not want to go back to Richmond. (hour and a half drive one way). My butt gets so sore from sitting too long. I have lost all the padding. I definitely did not want to go back on Sunday. It was mostly going to be a lunch birthday celebration for Molly and her brother. I encouraged Molly to go with her sister and I stayed at the country home. It was pure heaven. It is gorgeous and rained most of the day. I had my workouts in early so put on soft comfy leggings and a tee shirt and went back to bed and read most of the day. It was so peaceful and relaxing.
But now I seem to be stuck in relaxation mode. I thought Monday I would feel so rested but it was the opposite. I don't want to do anything. I expected that feeling to have lifted by today but it is still here. I feel sort of sad and blue and almost depressed. I never ever feel this way. My team has noticed. I shared with them that I am just dreaming of a sandy beach and time away. They understood.
It is a very sobering feeling. I don't get depressed. It gave me just the tiniest glimpse into what others talk about. It is such a strange feeling. I really do want to go back home back to bed and finish up the good book I am reading. I didn't even bring my running clothes. I will have to force myself to run after work.
@cyndiesstuff I understand what you are going through. You are still thin enough that if you stopped gaining you would be all right. But you aren't going to stop gaining. That's the problem. Been there done that. I am glad you are seeking help. It is soooo awful to start escalating up with no idea how to stop.
Last night I was really wanting a gin and tonic and a big juicy T-bone steak. Nope...It is so easy to slide.
I have been doing this new ab challenge with @GingerPwr and I started lifting weights. It is almost as if they have triggered something emotional inside of me. Feelings of "blueness". So odd.
@sleepymom5 good luck with Mary Kate. My heart goes out to those that suffer. I was reading as well that May is mental health awareness month.
@twyla77 hang in there. I am almost at maintenance and we will figure it out together. BTW...what size do you wear? I think we are the same height. But your goal is a lot lower than mine.
@carlsoda you and I are right in there with the same weight. I too am 5"4". we too can do maintenance together.
I am so confused by these smaller size 6 clothes that I am wearing. I am thinking I may be seeing size 4??? that seems impossible. What size do you wear at your goal? I have never been lower than a 10.
@phoebe112476 love your photos! this is a journey for sure. Always trying to figure out what is right for us.
@nstephenson01 I didn't realize you had lost so much weight. Your doing so well. I appreciate your kind words and always love hearing about your life journey.
@GingerPwr you and I are the same height and right there close to the same weight. I am always eager to see what you post on Wednesday. I am sorry you are having such a struggle with darkness. My sister once said to me that she was at the bottom crying buckets of tears then said to herself "wait...this is when things start turning around". I often think of that. Life does cycle that is for sure. When we look back we can see other times and marvel how we ever survived. I am so grateful today for all the abundance and blessings in my life. Sometimes we just need to hang in there and ride it out till we get to the other side. Breathe! I know it is easier said than done.
I really enjoy Susan Miller astrology app. Anyone interested can check it out. It can be a stretch but I always like thinking that the planets are causing me challenges than my own actions lol. I read her daily and her detailed monthly. They are free on her app.
    Okay...back to work.

All others...your in my thoughts as well everyday!

    Hello everyone!

I just caught up with everyone's posts. So sorry for those of you that are struggling, life is tough and can be overwhelming! I have issues with my younger son & school. He is dyslexic and was recently diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit, not the hyper-activity part) and he also has an auditory processing disorder where his brain can't process the information he hears and reads like a normal brain. His high school has made the necessary adjustments to help him succeed, but he hates school! Every day is a struggle! Things can be much worse, he is normal on a social level and acts normal, but his learning issues have made life very stressful. We all have stuff we are going through, some worse than others, but we need to take it day by day and try to see the light at the end of the tunnel. My heart goes out to all of you!

As for my weight-loss journey, I am feeling good. I was a little off-track, I didn't get a formal workout done, but I did get over 12K steps, I walked to Target on my lunch hour which is decent walk. My food was good during the day, but when I got home from work I was eating different snacks instead of a main meal, so I never ate a regular dinner. The scale was up a little yesterday morning from the weekend, we had a family party, but I was pleasantly surprised that it was down this morning.

I am back on track today, back to the gym tonight! Since the gym upgraded our cardio machines, the new elliptical is kicking my butt! I was on level 14 for 60 minutes on the old machine, I had to drop to level 5 on the new machine. Time to build back up! I am literally covered in sweat, my entire shirt, since using the new machines! I guess it is a good thing!

    Have a wonderful day!

Super busy day... just now checking in. My Fitbit says I slept 9.5 hours last night. Didn't feel like it this morning tho... woke up tired and cranky. Probably a good thing I didn't have time to write a post this morning LOL. Took a break for a few minutes to catch up on the latest posts. Its so nice to see so much engagement and I really enjoy reading everyone's posts. I love this team!!! Gotta run... its about time for hubby to call. Hugs to all.

@carlsoda Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for mentioning the tapping. I never heard of it. I will look into it.
@Nstephenson01 Just because you were in bed that long doesn't always mean you had a restful sleep. Hopefully you will get a good nights sleep tonight.
@Mrsbell8well Yum! Send one to me! Lol!
@Gingerpwr Thanks for checking in! Hope all is well.
@bmaison2014 Looks like you had a nice day!
@Julie8468 Lol! Wouldn't that be nice! Another awesome day btw!

@Shirin_K I am not sure how I missed your post! Lol! It does amaze me how easily we can slip even when we do have good habits. Looks like you have good goals and you are back on track. I don't know why the spread sheet is like that. I will ask in the moderators thread.
@Mrsbell8well . I hope you are feeling more like yourself soon. Glad you got your yoga in and went for a run...Maybe you are already feeling better!
    @cyndiesstuff . Love that tracker!!

I started running again. I'm taking it slowly. I've tried to get back to running before, not taking into consideration the break and the added weight and that's how I got plantar fasciitis.
I don't like doing plank, but I love the results: my core is much stronger and I can hold for longer(1:30 now)

    Just popping in to say:

Keep going, guys. One day at the time. More good days - closer you get to that finish line. There’s no shortcuts.

I’m having a good week. I think the scale will move the right direction as long as tom holds off like it should :)

Yesterday I was too tired to lift so I just did 55 mins leg workout in the living room with body weight (lunges, squats, split squats, etc 5 sets )
My daughter has cold again (how in the world?!) and I seemed to catch it. It’s very mild but I knew if I went and tried to lift like usually I would not be able to.
I made chicken soup and very low calorie protein muffins and that’s basically what I ate all day.

Got 9 hours of sleep last night though and I feel much better today.

Today is rest day but I’ll try to take a longer walk and get to 10k and eat good. :)

@cyndiesstuff So sorry you are having so much trouble finding a counselor. I wonder if it would help you in the meantime if you could write down everything as if you were talking to one. I know it's not the same as talking to someone but it helped me a few times. Write it out, read it a few times, then either keep it or throw it away.

You do such a good job advising everyone here about issues that come up, I think you would make a good counselor.

Good to hear your mom is doing better.

    @cyndiesstuff I agree with @pacsnc6

I’m trying to understand the “why” you refer to trying to achieve. Can you explain? Is it your sense of purpose? Is it part of the f2f program pod casts?
